~Mala’s POV

"I thought you still had feelings. I thought you weren’t as evil as they said you were ."

King Luther looked into my eyes and said those words to . It was quite surprising that people try to bla soone for not succumbing to their selfish requests.

"I’m more cruel than you think I am. And that’s why you shouldn’t push to the wall."

I walked out of the dinning area. I had completely lost my appetite as the anger overwheld .

Madam Olivia was waiting at the entrance and she walked to the room.

"My lady, you shouldn’t have exchanged words with King Luther. You should have just walked away. I heard the things that he is capable of...." She said, worried.

"You want to just keep quiet? And make them think that I have agreed to leave because of them? Or do you want to give up on his highness?" I yelled.

She shook her head. "I am sorry if you misunderstood , my lady but that is not what I an. I was only worried that you might get in trouble with King Luther and his wicked n. That’s all."

"I don’t even know why his highness is still keeping them here!"

Jealousy and anger were already getting the better of . Why did he keep them here when he knew that he didn’t want Arabella?

He said he loved and missed yet he tried to sleep with her while I was only away for a short while.

As much as I tried not to get angry at him or think that way, I couldn’t. I knew what I went through...the suffering and the things I heard people say about just because of the love that I had for him.

I completely forgot about my plan to avenge my mother’s death because of him. I wasn’t going to let everything go to waste.

"I will make sure that they leave as soon as possible," I mouthed and madam Olivia smiled.

"You seem like the jealous one," she said and I took a deep breath.

"I shouldn’t have raised my voice at you. I just felt cheated. I have always been looked down upon all my life. Everything I had was taken away from ...even my own parents. I just don’t want to go through that sa pain one more ti."

"I understand, my lady. You have nothing to worry about. The king is yours and I’ll be here, waiting to dress you up on the day of your wedding," she said and I smiled.

She knew how to make feel better.

"Madam Olivia," I called.

I rembered Michelle, the guard and curiosity took the better of . I didn’t know why but I wanted to keep him close to . He seed vulnerable.

"Yes, my lady?"

"Do you know any guard that goes by the na Michelle?" I asked.

Madam Olivia paused for a while, then she smiled. "No, my lady. I do not." she answered.

"Are you sure? He has brown hair and the color of his eyes are similar to mine. He’s quite young as well. You should know him. I haven’t seen him much around the palace but I think he ..."

"I have answered you, my lady. I have no idea who he is," she answered, then she took a step back. "I think I have to leave now. I’ll be here when you need ."

Madam Olivia offered a slight bow and left.

I heaved a sigh and laid on the bed.

Thoughts of what Arabella and her Father said to rushed out of my head.

"I need to talk to Francis about letting them go when he’s back."

anwhile, Francis stord into Lord Chris’s chambers with his heart racing, wondering whether or not the things Agatha said were true.

His fears turned into anger when Sir. Oliver was laying on the ground and with blood running out of his nose.

His skin was pale and his lips were chapped.

Lord Chris on the other hand kept flipping through a plain book until he noticed Francis’ presence.

Lord Chris slowly raised his head and burst into a loud bout of laughter.

He knew Francis being present with that burning eyes of his was equal to him being dead.

"So you’ve been told? They told you about it, didn’t they?" He asked, then he proceeded to laugh like a lunatic.

Francis couldn’t believe his eyes. The man who was always was there for him was laying on the ground, pale and was assud to be dead.

"I warned you not to cross the line!" Francis sneered.

Lord Chris laughed.

"What line exactly?" He asked.

What confidence.

Francis raised his head and Lord Chris was pinned to the wall. "Kill quickly. Don’t waste much ti."

"Didn’t I warn you never to lay your hands on what’s mine! How dare you!" Francis sneered. His eyes burned with flas of fury.

Knock knock, Chris...doom is knocking at your door.

"You’re lucky my plans didn’t work. Do you know what I intended in the beginning? I wanted to get the spell book from....o" he coughed and spat a month full of blood. The energy from Francis’ body was squeezing his organs. "I planned to get the book from Oliver, get enough power, kill you and have Mala as my beautiful sex partner. But my loose mouthed wife went ahead to tell this dead thing right here and he refused to give access to the book.

Now Mala is dead and her step mother already ditched . I have lost everything, but I’ll never apologize to you."

Francis smirked. "Mala is alive, laying naked on my bed...rembering what it feels like laying with ," Francis uttered.

"Ahhhh!" Chris angrily groaned.

"You should have just remained on your own, Chris. You should have just enjoyed the luxury that I gave you. But no, you chose to go beyond your boundaries! I’ll make you pay for what you did to him!" Francis threatened.

He ant every word.

"Mala doesn’t love you. She loves now!" Lord Chris yelled.

Francis laughed. "You think so? You should see her call out my na."

"So she lied to that night?" Lord Chris mouthed.

Francis nodded. "It took you quite a long ti to realize that."

"Kill now. Let die. That’s what you want, isn’t it?" Lord Chris asked and Francis shook his head.

"It isn’t." Francis answered. He grabbed Chris and they both appeared in the eting hall.

The village elders were already waiting. News had spread about the wizard’s attempt to kill the king and the death of the seer.

Leave it to the palace guards to make information spread like wildfire.

"Your highness....the wizard deserves to die." One of the elders said.

"He was never of use to us."

"All he does is threaten us and sleep with our daughters! He should die right now and right here!"

"Finally, we’ll have so peace if he dies!"

"He deserves to die ...that way, Oliver’s soul can rest in peace."

"Silence!" Francis sneered the hall that way once filled with complaints and rants was pin drop silent.

"Hypocrites. You all think I do not know? That you beca allies with him just so that you can get rid of Mala?" Francis asked and they were all quiet.

"Everyone of you should listen to . Mala is alive, healthy and she’s mine. If anyone dares to lay a hand on her, you’ll have to question. Call her a witch, I do not care. She’s going to be your queen and none of you would dare to question her authority!"

None of them dared to speak a word.

"And about this bastard here," Francis said, referring to Chris. "I’ll give him a punishnt much worse than death. His powers will be drained and he’ll move from village to village, clearing their fields till the day he dies," Francis ordered.

Sir. Oliver’s body was brought into the eting hall. The n held her heads and cried, while so whispered.

Francis walked towards him and closed his eyes.

It hurt, but there was nothing he could do about it.

"Your highness, we understand everything that you said out of your infinite wisdom. It hurts us that we have lost such a good man to death, but now that he’s gone, who will take his place as your right hand man?" One of the elders asked.

Francis was silent.

Even after the death of soone, they didn’t hesitate to show their greediness.

The elder cleared his throat and proceeded. "Your highness, I have a son who has spiritual power and can take good care of you just as Oliver did. I can ask so guards to call for him imdiately."

Francis shot him a glare. "If your son steps his foot into my palace, I’ll kill him before he walks through that door. Get a coffin and let’s get ready for Oliver’s burial. I do not want his body laying on the ground like this." Francis said.

But ...it seed like the old man had other plans. "Coffin? Burial? For who? Isn’t it too quick? I have already told you. I am just 87 years old. I wouldn’t die so young, your highness," Sir. Oliver said. He dusted himself and stood up, then he cleaned the blood on his face.

The old man left everyone confused.

Didn’t he just die?

"And which one of you was trying to replace ?"
