Chapter 242: Truth about Mia
Britney let out a laugh before saying, "How did it slip my mind? The officials may carry out their duties, but Vixen Joe still holds the reins over any event that unfolds. So, co on, enlighten . What sche are you attempting to concoct?" Britney inquired, observing as Vixen gave a dismissive scoff.
"Do you honestly believe that I am going to respond to whatever it is you’re talking about?" Vixen asked her, his voice laced with rudeness.
"I apologize for attempting to involve myself in matters that don’t concern ," Britney responded, lifting her hands in a gesture of surrender.
Her eyes followed Vixen as he scoffed and leaned forward onto the desk before him.
"Could you please tell
what actions of mine prompted this unexpected visit from you?"
"I would like you to share all the details you have about Mia Elizabeth," he stated directly, his eyes fixed on her with an intensity that seed to penetrate her very being.
Observing his unwavering focus and movents, Britney shifted uneasily in her chair, forcing a smile that stretched wide, almost touching the edges of her face.
"Are you interested in learning more about Mia?" Britney echoed his words, as though she was pondering them for a mont before she proceeded to speak.
"Why not explore the internet instead? Based on my understanding, perhaps you should consider browsing online to find whatever you desire. There, you can watch anything you like, including the way she performs her dances for her online followers. You can also find those adorable pictures that portray her as sweet and gentle."
"Don’t squander my ti," Vixen remarked with a chilling tone.
His words caused Britney to cough slightly.
She then repositioned herself in her chair, unsettled by Vixen’s intense and frigid gaze, which seed to pierce through her as if he intended to incinerate her very essence.
"Alright then, I certainly wouldn’t want to squander the precious ti of soone as busy as you. After all, observing you clad in such a professional ensemble suggests you have so important engagents lined up."
"Are you genuinely attempting to tease ?"
"No, why on earth would I be engaged in any sort of ga with the very man who has landed
in this predicant? At this mont, all I can focus on is devising a plan to escape from this confinent."
"Hope you manage to find an escape route, because I’m certainly not going to offer you any opportunities to do so."
Britney let out a dismissive laugh before responding, "We’ll see about that."
Vixen took a long, deliberate breath, reclining in his chair. As he adjusted his sleeves, pulling them up to expose his well-toned arms, he spoke with a hint of nace in his voice, "Co on, are you really not going to say anything?"
"What’s causing your rush? I was under the impression that you had all the ti in the world to remain here and enjoy being my guest."
As Britney’s words reached him, he quickly turned his gaze towards her, letting out a scoffing laugh.
"Perhaps now you’ll truly understand the depth of my impatience," Vixen remarked with a sly, devilish tone.
Once more, he extended his hand towards the remote control resting on his desk. With a deliberate tap on one of the buttons, the chair that Britney occupied suddenly sent a jolt of electricity coursing through her.
Britney let out a startled yelp, a sound filled with shock and disbelief.
In the very next instant, her wrists were ensnared by iron cuffs that magnetically latched onto the chair, firmly securing her in place.
"Are you familiar with the old saying, ’Keep your friends close, and your enemies even closer?’ Well, here’s an interesting thought—why not take on the role of my adversary and do everything in your power to ensure my tranquility? Because the mont I press this button, there’s a real possibility you won’t witness another sunrise, or you could find yourself confined to a hospital bed for several weeks." He spoke.
"And before your imagination starts running wild, let
assure you, this facility has a special dical ward designated for unique criminals like you. Trust , it’s a place where you wouldn’t wish to spend even a single extra day. So, the choice is entirely yours, go ahead and make it." He added.
"If the jail authorities find out I’m in any sort of discomfort, they might end up getting sued."
"I truly hope that happens, but Britney, you must realize that right now, you’re in no position to do anything. Recall your own words—you claid I have the ability to manage the authorities’ matters. Why do you think handling sothing as minor as this would be beyond ?"
Britney’s weary and troubled eyes fixated on Vixen, attempting to hide the sadness she felt inside.
She knew she needed to be clever to protect herself.
As soon as she began to speak, she said, "Mia isn’t the ordinary girl you assu she is. You might view her as simply obsessed over your presence on the internet, but there’s more to her than that. She’s not just fixated on you; she’s a dangerous individual willing to go to any lengths to ensure you’re with no one else, even if it ans isolating you."
She hesitated, taking a mont before recalling her other mories of Mia. "When Mia was nineteen, she was imprisoned, and the reason was that she had killed a classmate. My research revealed that Mia committed this act because the classmate had spoken rudely and uttered harsh words about you. In an attempt to defend your reputation, Mia strangled the girl, which resulted in her death. Her family then relocated her to a different school in another country and succeeded in erasing the records against Mia."
"Was it at her new school where she t Prudence?"
Britney nodded and went on, "She befriended Prudence because it was the only way she could get closer to you. Through conversations with Prudence, she hoped to find a way to forgive you sohow. But her efforts weren’t succeeding. One day, while I was casually talking to one of my herdsn about getting sothing done, she overheard and realized I was determined to keep you and Prudence apart."
A slight furrow appeared on Vixen’s left eyebrow as he leaned forward, placing his hands on the desk. He then asked, "Knowing that this girl might disrupt the relationship between her friend and , why didn’t you act suspiciously and gather more details about her?"
"Indeed, that’s precisely how I stumbled upon the shocking truth that she had taken a life solely to uphold your reputation. I considered this as not only a chance for
to create a rift between you and Prudence but also an opportunity to have Prudence eliminated."
"So, you subtly implanted the idea of murdering Prudence into her mind."
"In truth, it wasn’t my doing; she was the one who was determined to have Prudence killed. Recall when I ntioned her tactics to lure you closer? Well, she realized that Prudence was beginning to develop a fondness for you. She dreaded the possibility of Prudence becoming yours. Her desperation was palpable, and she was willing to do whatever it took to ensure that you wouldn’t fall for Prudence and that Vixen wouldn’t develop feelings for you." She spoke.
"She was terrified that the spark of affection in Prudence’s heart might beco a deep feeling for you, and she could potentially lose you. So, in her twisted logic, she concluded that the best course of action was to eliminate the person she considered her best friend once and for all." she added.
"How did she manage to have Prudence killed?"
"With the single bullet fired on the night you last encountered Prudence. The woman in the silver mask, with a smirk etched on her face. She was the identity of the silver woman to ensure her friend’s demise." Britney explained, and monts later, she observed Vixen maintaining an eerie calmness.
"She ended Prudence’s life," Vixen whispered with an icy tone, and just a heartbeat later, Britney cried out once more.
"What is driving you to do this?" Britney groaned, attempting to calm her adrenaline-fueled nerves as soon as the electric buzzing ceased.
She noticed Vixen gazing at her with the intensity of a predator eyeing its next catch.
"Why would you have moved with a child with such a preoccupation?" he snarled, his eyes piercing into her with an intensity that suggested he was on the verge of doing her harm.
"You might find it in your heart to forgive the transgressions of my past, just please spare my life at this mont."
"Whatever, I’ve acquired what I ca for," Vixen mumbled as he rose to his feet.
"Do you believe Prudence is the only one she’s eliminated?" Britney inquired, observing as Vixen paused montarily.
Without turning to face her directly, he subtly used his peripheral vision and ear to catch whatever she was about to express.
"If I have to speak at this mont, Enim is no longer part of your life, isn’t she?" Britney inquired with a tone full of sarcasm, and then she glanced over, not anticipating the sight of Vixen angrily slamming his hand on his desk.
His eyes were locked onto Britney’s, filled with a chilling and cunning intensity.
"What are you implying? How did you co to know about this?"
"You’re not the first person to arrive here just to ridicule
about the predicant I find myself in. Once I manage to escape this situation, I’ll definitely handle that stupid girl nad Mia."
"What exactly did she say to you?"
"Do you really believe that just because Mia allowed you to be reunited with your son, she will allow you to have a relationship with another woman?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Did you genuinely believe that Emin was the one who took her own life? In reality, she did not. You were not the only person eager to et the new baby; Mia shared that sa desire. She was keen to see the newborn’s face and, more importantly, your wife. Mia orchestrated Enim’s death, aware that Enim was in a vulnerable state, in order to preserve her own life." she spoke.
"Now, years have passed, and you find yourself grappling with the painful reality that the woman you once loved so dearly is no longer alive." she added.
As soon as she uttered those words, Vixen’s gaze beca icy and unfeeling.
With deliberate force, he tightened his grip on the remote control in his hand, intentionally pressing the button while he observed Britney writhing in agony from the electrifying torture of the seat.
