Chapter 226: Advantage
Vixen found himself amidst the bustling activity of a construction site. With glasses perched on his nose, he observed the ongoing progress of the structure, which he had set his sights on as a potential investnt opportunity.
Indeed, his intention was to utilize this building as a strategic investnt vehicle. This endeavor was intricately linked to his ambition of locating and collaborating with individuals who were crucial to the success of his business enterprise.
Within this construction project, he has at last secured the necessary license to construct a facility, which he intends to utilize for the production of various items.
Among these products, he plans to manufacture military equipnt, including firearms and explosives, just to na a few.
Ultimately, he successfully finalized his agreent, allowing him to comnce the production of each of these instrunts.
In the heart of the structure, he observed the engineers diligently performing their tasks, their efforts focused on a vast construction capable of accommodating approximately two hundred thousand individuals simultaneously.
He was about to address his contractor, words poised on his lips, but his attention shifted when one of his associates walked in, carrying his phone.
"Sir, there’s a call for you," he reported to Vixen, efficiently picking up the phone before addressing the unfamiliar number on the other end.
He glanced over at his associate, his expression silently inquiring about the caller’s identity. However, his curiosity dissipated when he recognized the voice speaking to him.
"I must admit, I didn’t expect you would send her my way," the woman on the other end remarked with a hint of surprise.
"And who might you be?" Vixen inquired sharply, her tone laced with a sneer before she let out a derisive scoff.
"Oh dear Vixen, why are you acting as if you have no idea who I am? Surely, you recognize the voice that is speaking to you. I might even suggest that the als you instruct that woman to prepare for you have gone straight to your head."
"Have you truly never been faced with a death sentence?"
"I really wish I did; perhaps then I’d understand where I belong. But what can I say? We just t a few days back at the pool party your wife hosted. "
"Oh, that’s right, I forgot. Everyone she invited was soone she already knew, and as for , I had to sche my way into your ho. I’ve missed you so dearly, my dear Vixen," she added.
" Mia your mouth as gone a bit wider, hasn’t it? "
" Well all my life I tried my best to make myself bigger so you could recognize
but soway or the other, I made myself look like a fool. And now was no difference. "
" What are you talking about? "
" Vixen, you should tell the woman who you used to replace Enim to tell you the truth, you brought her into your life, why? Because she’s younger or what? "
" You know I could find you from wherever you want, I’ll ask you once again, do you know who you’re talking to? "
" My senses has decreased after what had happened between I and Abi! She was the one who pulled the trigger and maybe now I have to pull my strings, I promise you Vixen. You know I love you very much but once I beco a ridicule then I can be very dangerous. Last ti it was Enim and this ti, I’ll deal with Abi. "
" Hey—" he was about to speak but then he noticed the call ended.
He was infuriated at the mont as he threw his phone to the ground and then raised his head to his man.
He pointed his hand at him.
"I want you to find her location at any ans, do you hear ?" He yelled.
*
Abi stared at her wristwatch for the umpteenth ti, she really wanted to make a conversation with Sebastian so she could find the location of Mia.
But then it’s being minute and she was still outside the cafe she booked, she looked around having a scarf cover the front of her face and then she placed a huge shade.
She lowered her head to stare at her phone and then she tried calling Sebastian but like last ti the number beca unavailable.
Oh yeah, how could she have forgotten that she had four unknown number of Sebastian and each one of them made it impossible for anyone to locate where he was.
"Sebastian common," she nervously stated as she tapped the head of her nails on the table.
"Are you waiting for ?" Once she heard his voice, she raised his head protected by the shade, she looked at Sebastian’s appearance and then he took his seat as he adjusted his suit.
"Why do you have a mask on your face?" Sebastian questioned out of curiosity and then she heaved a deep breath, how could she have forgotten that her brother was dumbass.
" Oh yeah, please kill
with your ignorance, " she murmured as she turned her head sideways.
" What did you say? " Sebastian arched an eyebrow as she smiled.
" It’s nothing." She managed to say without getting offended with him.
After all it took him a whole journey just to co et with her and provide her with files instead of him to send it to her mail.
If she wanted what she desires, then she had to be good to him.
At least for the mont.
"You haven’t answered my question, Abi. What are you hiding?"
She forced a smile as she pushed her head forward.
"Well, I’m just being careful, who knows if Vixen might be after , if he sees
with you then he’s going to have a lot of questions, and you know is going to flunk our plan."
He nodded in acknowledge.
"You’re right about that."
"So, where’s the files, you said you’ll be with it, didn’t you? I can’t see it anywhere," Abi comnted as her eyes surveyed his appearance but then he stretched his hand to the side just for a man to walk across their seat then he handed Sebastian a folder.
"What? Sebastian, did you bring the n here?"
He looked at her and then sneered.
"Sister, I’m in another country for crying out sake and Vixen owns this territory, do you really think I’m going to risk my safety? Besides, you should be happy that I didn’t ask them to follow
here, who knows, really then he’s going to suspect that there is sothing going on between the two of us. "
" You stupid fellow, I never thought you would be this smart."
" Well, I’m the acting president of the league and of course soon enough I’ll be enjoying benefits of being an actual president. "
Abi had the urge of rolling her eyes, what was the use of speaking about the position he held.
Besides, why was he making the conversation even longer.
Subtly, she began to feel that sothing was weird about his words.
They both hated each other so why was he trying to make a conversation with her?
She looked around trying to look for sothing different from the usual.
" Hey, what are you staring at? " Sebastian questioned as he snapped his fingers.
" Well, this is the folder, " he said about to hand her the folder but then he pulled it backwards before she could wrap her hand around the edge.
She had a frown on her face as she looked at him.
" Hey, " she wailed but then she shook his head.
" Don’t think you’re going to collect it for free. "
" What’s wrong with you?" Abi was on the thoughts of insulting but then she closed her eyes, she needed to be calm no matter what happened, at least she was going to collect the damn file and then get her way out of his premises.
"I ant, why did you say such words?"
"When I looked at your location from the quarters, I notice you went to one of the restaurant Vixen owned. Don’t tell
you went on a date with him, did you?"
She looked at him and then rolled her hand in a fist.
What was his problem?
She forced a smile as she looked at him with an igniting look.
She was going to burst at any mont if he doesn’t know his position.
"What, I’m waiting, did you go on a date with him? Don’t tell
that you’re planning on betraying the company, are you?"
"Will you just shut up? I had important business to take care of and so I decided to use his restaurant."
"What type—"
"You surely aren’t going to throw such a question my way. I have never once inquired about the won you spend your ti with, so please refrain from ddling in my personal matters."
"Whoa, hold on," he responded, attempting to clarify, "I was just curious, so here you go," he added as he gently set it down on the table.
"I am simply advising you that if your goal is to discover the identity of this woman, I recomnd exercising caution with every decision you take. Not everyone is naive, Abi. You cannot treat just anyone carelessly."
"If your intention is to learn more about her, I suggest being particularly vigilant this ti around. You never know, this might be the instance where you encounter an unexpected setback." He added.
Abi had a smile as she stacked the folder on the table.
" Hmm, I’ll think about your advice when I have to. I’m leaving, " she said in a curt tone and then she got up just for her to unknowingly pave way for her picture to be taken.
She made it easier for the photographer to gain photos of her, and now, it was ti to use what was done for an advantage.
