Chapter 21: Sa pain

Just as the knife laid on the floor, she recall everything necessary.

"Prudence?" She yelled out of shock.

In the hospital, Enim was brought in by Phoebe who’d used her car to take her to the hospital.

It was eventual that Enim left the funeral house on her own terms leaving her guards at the place.

"She’s injured, she needs dical attention," she yelled, and then so nurses ca in with a stretcher as they gently placed her on the stretcher rushing to the ergency room.

Phoebe followed till they got to the front of the ergency room.

She stood there anticipating the result of the operation, she prayed and hoped Enim cos back, she didn’t want to lose her sister because of her stupid action.

Scolding herself for what she’d done, a nurse approached her to write the dical form for the patient.

Then she was directed to the receptionist for submission.

She stayed around the corner getting the form filled but then—

The pen danced furiously writing everything she knew about Enim till it ca to her relation with Enim, she stopped.

Soone like her wasn’t ant to be called a sister or a relative after what she’d done to Prudence.

"Ma’am, are you done?" The receptionist questioned jerking Phoebe from her thoughts.

"Are you done with the form?" The receptionist asked since she felt Abi didn’t hear what she said.

"Oh," she imdiately wrote her relationship with Enim as a friend and then moved to the waiting bench in front of the room.

After monts of waiting , the doctor ca out of the room as she rushed toward the doctor.

"Doctor, how is she?"

"For now all I can say is that she needs blood urgently, she’s losing blood fast and we’re trying our best to sustain her. Is urgent you find a blood donor who will give her blood or you could go to the blood bank as it is, her blood isn’t rare."

"Okay, doctor, what’s her blood group?"

"A , I’m sure is available. "

"Just tell

the amount she requires and I’ll deposit the money for any quantity of blood she’ll be treated with. "

"Okay, wait for so minutes." The doctor gave her an assured confidence as the doctor went to back to the room.

She waited fifty minutes and once again the door opened.

"How is she?" Phoebe questioned as the doctor gave her an assured smile.

"You don’t need to worry about her any longer, she’s alright, she will be transferred to her ward. "

"Okay, can I get to see her?"

"Yes, you can but you would have to wait for a while for the patient to rest."

"Okay, thanks," just then, Phoebe received a call, she excused herself as the doctor gave her space.

When she answered the call, the doctor’s attention was called to by a nurse who needed the doctor to treat other patients.

And then, Enim was moved out of the ergency room when Enim’s biological mother was also taken out of her VIP ward which was proximate to the ergency room Enim was taken from.

When the nurses who were transporting them ca across, the movent of the stretcher stirred their bodies and then their hands laid out of the stretcher as the two hands ca in contact.

One of the nurses recognized Enim’s mother’s hand was out and then placed it back before entering the ward which Enim’s mother was transferred to.

Just at the sa ti, the VIP ward Phoebe had booked for Enim coincidentally was beside her mother’s ward.

When Phoebe was done with the call, she walked to the designated room Enim was at.

Just at the mont, the nurses ca into the room to give Enim dical treatnt, through the process, in order to intravenously transfer water to Enim they had to inject her through the wrist.

Phoebe felt nauseous seeing the needle but she tried her best not to publicly react, she couldn’t help but feel pity for Enim.

Even if she could make jest with the fact that Prudence would be scared of getting injections since she had phobia for it, she couldn’t help but be worried about her own phobia towards the syringe.

Apparently they had the sa phobia.

When the nurses were done, they left leaving Phoebe standing as she watched Enim for a while.

Just as she stood there, she couldn’t help but recall the words Enim stated at the play yard, she felt so guilty rembering it.

Her sister in the body of another, it must have been worse for Prudence especially when she was not fond of the occupation the person she resides in is doing.

Co to think of it, since her sister was possessing Enim’s body then does it an the real Enim will be possessing Prudence’s body?

She had a lot of questions.

Phoebe sat on the couch opposite the bed waiting minutes for Enim to wake up.

"You’re sleeping quite long, Prudence, you have to wake up now," Phoebe said realizing it was seven PM.

It was past her curfew ti, Phoebe stared at the clock for a while wondering why her mother had not bothered to call.

Just then the nurses ca in with two cups of tea, she thought Enim would have woken up before evening but she eventually had to wait for a period of ti.

She placed Enim’s own on the table as she took from hers but then forty minutes pass by and just like before, she was still asleep.

"Are you going to punish

for my stupidity? You’ve been sleeping so I could work so hard to attend to you. Do you really want to wake up and see

drenched in sweat, right?"

"Don’t you think that’s a great idea?" Phoebe was agape in shock hearing her voice.

She had woken up.

She looked at Enim who slowly opened her eyes.

"Prudence—" Phoebe said as she jumped with joy, she ended up hugging her.

Because of the embrace, Enim groaned in pain since Phoebe touched the side she was injured.

"Sorry," Phoebe said releasing her from the hug.

"It hurts so much?"

"Why wouldn’t it hurt? It even hurts more than the piercing of the needle."

"Did you feel the pain of the syringe injected?"

"I felt more than that, it’s nothing compared to the pain of the object both you and mum used to get my body wounded," Enim blurted as Phoebe frowned.

"What do you an mum also got you wounded?" She asked in curiosity her expression in a deadly frown.
