Chapter 199: Attitude

"Oh my dear, don’t tell

that you have two tooth lost?" Abi questioned noticing the window tooth in front of his mouth.

Arthur simply nodded as she placed her hands on her mouth in awe.

"Oh my dear," she drops the spoon so she could gaze at him.

"The two tooth left and I was unable to be there to see it. Did you keep it under the bed to allow the tooth fairy to take the tooth? "

Arthur shook his head.

" No mummy, daddy said it doesn’t work. "

" Seriously? You’re dad said that? "

Arthur nodded.

" Oh really, your father has once again appeared with boring tactics. You know what, I can’t wait to b there so I could hear about how you lost those tooth and I would be able to give you such a big hug. "

"

too mummy, I miss you so much. "

Abi stayed silent for a while, a smile on her face as she nodded.

She placed her hand on her lip and then blew a kiss to him. " We both have the feeling my boy, " she chuckled.

Arthur had a smile as the remaining part was occupied with silence and then Abi recalled sothing.

" Oh dear, what about school. Are you doing well with your grades? "

" Yes mummy, but I didn’t get to do my exam this week. "

Abi had a frown, she tried to wonder what must have caused it.

" Why? " She questioned.

" Daddy took

out on a trip for a week. He said I should get so vacation. "

Abi knew that it must have concerned the business rivalry.

" Didn’t your father tell your teacher to arrange a visual eting instead? "

" I didn’t mummy. "

" Oh, " she said as she nodded.

" What about now, are you ho? "

"No mummy, we’re in another country. We’ll be coming soti soon. "

Abi frowned as she wondered.

What Vixen was doing affecting Arthur?

For so reasons she began to beco anxious about Arthur.

She really hoped because of her mistake Arthur doesn’t pay the price.

She reached up to the gem of the necklace as she worriedly toyed with it.

"Arthur, could you call your father?"

"Okay mummy," Arthur said as she waited patiently but a bit nervous, she placed the bowl of her al beside her as she watched Arthur hold the phone and then march up to wherever his father was.

"Daddy, mummy is asking for you," he called out to Vixen as he stretched the phone towards Vixen.

Vixen took it as he placed it in front of him, for so unknown reasons when Abi sighted him, she skipped a bit forgetting what she was about to say.

"Hi," Vixen said in a warm gesture as he waved at her.

"Hi," she said as she tried to spread her lips.

"How is the work going on there?" Vixen asked in a hoarse tone as she nodded.

"Is fine, I’m managing it," she stated with a smile.

"What about your father?"

"Umm, what do you an?" Abi blurted out a bit confused but then she reminded she lied to him.

"Oh, I ant that father’s condition, actually, he’s still having the necessary treatnt. I really can’t wait for the tis he’ll be out just like before," she said in solemn as Vixen concentrated his gaze on her like he was trying to study her phycology.

"Don’t worry, I’m sure your father is going to be okay. Trust , he wouldn’t want to leave his daughter so he’ll try to stay strong."

Abi nodded a she stared at her bowl filled with her al, she raised her head once again to take a look at him.

"Vixen, about your constant emigration out of the country, do you have anything to say about that?"

Vixen scoffed a bit.

"What do you an, Abi?"

"I an, Arthur told

you guys are aren’t around and from what I could recall, just so weeks ago you where a cruise. "

" Well I only did that so we could spend so ti together since you’re not around. "

" No Vixen, it doesn’t seem like you. I know how strict you are when it cos to Arthur’s education, I don’t think you will do that to Arthur and even allow him miss his examination. "

" You really don’t want to believe ? "

" That’s it, Vixen. You’re you, sothing must have happened. You can tell , what is going on? Is there anything you can tell ? "

Vixen was silent for a while as he stared at the phone and then he shook his head.

" There’s nothing much, Abi. Everything is okay, just like I’ve told you were on vacation. Besides, you’re the one who accuses

of not being the fun father so I want to make the ti to be with my son at least. "

" Oh okay then, " Abi said in acknowledgent.

After so mont silence occured the room as they stared at each other through the phone.

Abi guilty bit her lips.

" I think I would cut the call now, " Abi said about to reach for the end button but then Vixen spoke.

" Wait, Abi, " she stopped as she looked at him with furrowed eyebrows.

" What happened? "

" Well, since your father is recovering, I wanted to ask when are you going to co back? "

" Do you miss ? " Abi said teasingly as Vixen coughed a bit to shun her words but then he couldn’t help but do sothing that wouldn’t make the situation awkward because of her question.

" Well, the thing is not because I miss you, I just wanted to be sure about when you’re going to arrive. "

" Well Vixen, that’s going to be very soon, soday I’ll et you, okay? " she said with a smile as he nodded.

" Okay then, that ans Arthur has to wait a little more ti before he could see you once again. "

" I think that’s what it’s going to be. "

She said gently as she bit her lip inwardly.

" Well, well then, I think I have to go now, okay? " Abi said moving closer to the phone and this ti she ended the call.

Once she was done, she couldn’t help but heave a deep breath.

She couldn’t believe herself, why does she have to lie to Vixen over the tis just to hide her identity?

After so thoughts, Abi heaved a deep breath as she dropped the bowl of the food on the side of the couch about to reach for the remote but she stopped.

Imdiately when she was alerted by the sound of the door bell, she turned her gaze to the door and then a frown applied on her expression.

She walked up to the desk so she could see through the telecon on the desk so she could see her guest.

Outside the room was an obvious nervous woman, she had a gadget wrapped around her hand and through the huge black glasses of hers, she seed a bit timid and self conscious at the sa ti.

Abi smirked as she sighted her secretary outside the room.

She stretched her hand towards the audio button and then she spoke.

"What are you doing here?" She said in a cold tone as the woman beca startled.

Abi heaved a deep breath, she knew she must have felt like she was going to be fired for coming such a great sin.

Usually they were not permitted to co to her office but for the first ti she gave that audacity.

The consequences of her actions may be severe and she really didn’t want to face it.

The secretary gulped her saliva as she stuttered to speak.

"Well Ma’am, the IMF said they wanted to give you a call. I tried connecting their call to you but then they requested I personally give you so you could talk."

It took just for a mont for Abi to roll her eyes out of frustration but then she tapped the screen button on thee desk that set the door opened.

Once the door opened, Abi marched up to the door with folded arms.

" Ma’am, I’m sorry if I —"

" There’s no need, I get it, give

the device, " Abi said as she stretched her hand and then took the tablet from her.

After that she requested the nervous woman to move out.

Before she left she gave a little bow and then turned away for her salvation.

Abi marched through towards the lounging area but before she got there, she released the video call from mute and video block.

Just at sight it was her brother Sebastian.

Oh, how could she kill herself any much longer?

She looked at him inwardly reciting patience is the key so she could at least hear his garrulous talks and then she would give him a earful for trying to contact her why she was at work.

It was not enough that he sent her away from the league, now he’s trying to make necessary arrangent to rub her wounds with salts.

She held the gadget in front of her a smile on her face.

"Common, what do you want to tell ?" She said in a nonchalant attitude.
