Chapter 149: Mathematics

"Arthur, go up now, you have assignnts to do. Your Nanny would assist you with your howorks."

"But Daddy, can Mummy assist

instead?" Arthur said as he turned his gaze to Abi with a smile.

Vixen looked at the both of them with a suspicious gaze, his closeness with this new woman was more than expected.

His son was getting close to her and it was definitely sothing that made him displeased.

"No, go do your assignnt with your Nanny, she’s waiting for you."

"But the little boy really wants—" she couldn’t say another word as Vixen gave her a sharp look and then she stopped.

She crouched a bit gently ruffling her hands in his hair.

"C’mon, your dad wants you to do your assignnt in ti, go do your assignnt. I’m sure you don’t want to annoy your dad, okay?" Arthur nodded with a smile and then he rushed to his Nanny who was behind Vixen with his backpack on his back.

When he got closer to his Nanny, she stopped him and then helped him carry the bag.

As Arthur went with his Nanny, he subconsciously turned to the back to see Abi as she placed a finger on her lips gesturing him not to say the secret they had and Arthur nodded with a smile.

"The docunts for our contract—" Vixen said in a stern tone after noticing their silly activity.

He walked towards a table which was near the area and then he walked towards her.

"Everything you have to know, I want you to cross through everything and tomorrow morning, I want your opinion. Your conditions are among the list, check on everything."

"I know what I’m going to do," she said rudely as she walked towards him taking the file.

"You could just have sent

through email instead."

"I also did that, I just wanted to be assured that you also have a hard copy, just in case."

She had a mild smile.

"I’ll read on it," she said as she walked away.

"And your room, you’re not going to stay at the guest room, I placed your room besides Arthur’s room, if you really want to do this, then I expect you do everything for my son."

She didn’t say a word as she walked away like she didn’t hear him.

She read through the files as she nonchalantly walked away.

Vixen felt a bit irritated by her gesture. No one had given him such a disrespectful attitude in years.

"Do you hear what I’ve said?" He said I’m a sharp tone as Abi raised the hard copy file.

"I’m reading through it, besides, it’s with the ears you get to hear not the ears," she hissed as she walked towards the elevator.

Vixen felt his blood boiling, if he was going to confess, if not because of her na then he would have surely mistaken her as Prudence.

They were both the sa, they both had the attitude in making his blood boil.

"Yeah I know right? She does have a lot of attitude," Vixen heard another voice as he turned around, it was Marcus.

"How much did you hear?"

"Hmm, let’s just say for

to know that you have a contract with this new woman, who’s she?"

Vixen was about to say sothing but then he pinched the skin between his eyebrows frustratedly.

"Arthur is into her, he wouldn’t make

rest till i brought her in. He has found her as a new mother."

"The young master? Arthur is a silent boy who does things the way he wants but, wanting a mother—when was that added to his list?"

"I’m just as surprised as you are."

"But I can’t help but say, it might just be a profitable gain for you."

"In what manner."

Marcus had a grin on his face.

"You should know, the young boy wants a mother but instead, this young boy doesn’t know he’s finding his father a new lover."

" You wish, " he hissed and then walked towards the elevator which led to his study room.

Marcus followed him as they waited for a while and then entered the elevator.

" Do you see her behaviour? I don’t think she’s soone who can be a mother."

" You should know I heard one wise man say that no matter the behavior of a woman to other, when she’s really a mother to her child, she will want to give the best to her child."

" Marcus, don’t get your excitent high because I’m not thinking of getting married again, that’s not on my list, " he said and then the door of the elevator opened.

" Vixen—" he called out to him as he was about to enter his study room.

Vixen answered as he turned around.

" I have had a lot of experiences in my life, I’m old but haven’t lost mory, most youthful and young people just like you find love eventually, and that young one there would probably be the one to join the two of you. "

Vixen settled down on his seat in thoughts of the years that have passed by.

" Marcus —" he said as he gave him a sharp gaze.

" After what has happened, I don’t think I can ever love again. "

Marcus chuckled and then he walked towards a couch taking a seat properly.

" Because Enim abandoned you years ago by jumping off the building doesn’t an she really did it out of insecurity. She was scared for her child and concerned about the life of her child."

Vixen didn’t say a word as he opened his laptop.

Marcus knew he was trying to divert the words again, that’s explains why Vixen went to another country to experience a new life for so years with his son. And just when this little boy was five, he ca back but not to the sa house where he had mories with the woman who he once loved.

Every year he flew back to the country to co visit her grave but the sa bitterness was his heart all the ti he ca back.

The sa bitterness he had towards her because she jumped that building.

A prove of her betrayal was the note she wrote on that letter, when Vixen read the note, his heart knew bitterness, the mind of his beca dilated and his heart constricted like a stone-hearted person.

Vixen didn’t know the aspect of love and Marcus just hoped that the one who was going to give him love was going to be this woman.

"It was no doubt, that you had so many issues, you want to shut your heart but you can’t shut mories. You might want to shut those days from your heart and mories may fade away but what are you going to do when the one who makes you rember the past is there. When she’s there all the ti you might just find the broken heart and place it back to pieces, that young boy needs a mother and he’s found one, eventually it wasn’t just a mother he has found but he’s going to find his father’s long lost heart," Marcus advised.

When Abi went to her room have a conversation with one of her friends on the phone, she noticed the door of Arthur opened.

At first she was at daze at the area to see if Arthur was in the room.

She peeped in to see him but he was no where to be seem, her eyes marveled at the appearance of the luxurious space given to this boy.He was just a young boy, and it felt like he was given a mansion instead of a house.

She ca from a rich family but her family worked from the middle class family to where they were today, the first deal which worth her billions however beca destroyed by the man who owns the mansion.

"Arthur," she said as she walked into the room, looking everywhere for the little boy and out of shock, she felt an embrace around her waist.

Abi gasped out of shock as she felt the hands of the tiny boy around her.

"This is who I’ve been waiting for," she said with a chuckle ass she turned around holding his arms and then she crouched to his level pinching him on the cheek.

"What is this fellow all about?" She said with a chuckle as Arthur laughed.

"I saw you co into the house and I thought that I should surprise you," he said with laughter.

"Hmm, it seems you’re done with your lessons, c’mon, I don’t want to be the one to disturb you, so tell . Did you Nanny teach you well?"

He nodded.

"Are you sure, there’s nothing that you don’t understand."

"Hmm, is just a little bit," he said pinching his fingers.

"Oh, can I get to teach you on the subject instead. ’

" Okay," he said and then he rushed to take his school bag from his bags wardrobe.

Abi chuckled as she watched him leave happily.

Just as Abi saw the subjects, she had a frown on her face.

It was mathematics.
