"It’s nothing serious. I heard Qi Cheng is sick, and I’m really worried about him. I couldn’t stay in the hospital any longer, so I ca over."

"I haven’t seen Qi Cheng these past few days either. He’s been locking himself in his room. Maybe he’s really not feeling well." Aunt looked at Cheng Yanxi, "It’s good that you’re fine."

Cheng Yanxi said, "Thank you, Aunt, for bringing in. I couldn’t get through to Qi Cheng on the phone, and the guards wouldn’t let in. I really didn’t know what to do."

"That’s strange." Aunt said, "The guards should recognize you. You’ve lived here for so long, why wouldn’t they let you in? Maybe they made a mistake!"

"It’s nothing. Just a small matter." Cheng Yanxi smiled gently.

The car soon reached the door and stopped.

Cheng Yanxi followed Aunt out of the car and happened to see Assistant Gao coming out of the living room.

"Assistant Gao."

Cheng Yanxi greeted Assistant Gao proactively.

When Assistant Gao saw it was Cheng Yanxi, he stopped, "Ms. Cheng."

"How is Qi Cheng?" Assistant Gao should know Qi Cheng’s situation best.

Hearing Cheng Yanxi ask about Qi Cheng, Assistant Gao’s expression was quite complex, "He should be okay."

"Okay?" Hearing Assistant Gao’s hesitant tone, Cheng Yanxi beca more worried, "Is he very sick? Why do you have that expression?"

"Weren’t you in the hospital, Ms. Cheng? Why did you co over?" Assistant Gao changed the subject.

Cheng Yanxi said worriedly, "I heard Qi Cheng was sick, so I ca to see him."

In terms of worrying about Qi Cheng, she was no less concerned than Ji Yunhuan.

Assistant Gao said, "Ms. Cheng should go back. Sir doesn’t want to see anyone these days."

"Since I’m already here, I should go see him." Cheng Yanxi thought that Assistant Gao not wanting her to see Qi Cheng was likely because Ji Yunhuan had instructed him.

She knew Ji Yunhuan didn’t like her, so it’s very possible Ji Yunhuan would do such a thing.

Seeing Cheng Yanxi persist in going inside, Assistant Gao didn’t say anything more.

Cheng Yanxi went upstairs and learned Qi Cheng’s room location from the maids. Here, Qi Cheng had two rooms: one where he lived alone and one he used to share with Ji Yunhuan.

Currently, Qi Cheng was in the room he shared with Ji Yunhuan.

His face was pale, devoid of blood, wearing a baggy white shirt, like sleepwear. He sat on the sofa, a computer in front of him, focused on work.

A knock sounded, and he frowned, annoyed by the noise, "Co in."

Soon, the door opened, and Cheng Yanxi walked in. Having heard Qi Cheng was seriously ill, she thought he’d be resting, not expecting to see him on the computer.

Cheng Yanxi looked around the room and didn’t see Ji Yunhuan, then went straight to Qi Cheng, "Aren’t you feeling unwell? Why are you on the computer? The doctor said you should rest more."

His pale complexion showed he was indeed unwell.

Qi Cheng looked up at Cheng Yanxi, his gaze sweeping over her for a mont before lowering his head again.

Cheng Yanxi sat down on the sofa nearby, observing him, concerned, "Isn’t Ji Yunhuan here? Shouldn’t she be taking care of you?"

"Shut up." Qi Cheng coldly spat out two words.

Cheng Yanxi was stunned.

Noticing Qi Cheng’s cold deanor.

He seed angry...

Why was he angry?

Could it be a fight with Ji Yunhuan?

Cheng Yanxi looked at him worriedly, "What’s wrong?"

Qi Cheng glanced at Cheng Yanxi and said, "You have no right to ntion her na."

"..." Qi Cheng’s words caused a montary pause in Cheng Yanxi’s mind. She looked at Qi Cheng, "Could it be you..."

Before she could finish, Qi Cheng interrupted her, "I instructed the guards not to let you in. How did you get in?"

He said it so plainly, yet Cheng Yanxi couldn’t comprehend?

She looked at Qi Cheng and, belatedly, said, "So, it was you who didn’t want to co in."

"What right do you have to appear before ?" Qi Cheng looked at her, "You shouldn’t be showing up in front of anymore."

"Qi Cheng." Cheng Yanxi said in disbelief, "You’ve rembered, haven’t you?"

"Yes." Qi Cheng said, "So from now on, you better stay away from ."

"..." Although she knew Qi Cheng would rember one day, Cheng Yanxi didn’t expect he’d rember so soon.

She looked at Qi Cheng and said, "When we separated, it was true I gave up on you first, but you weren’t angry back then."

"What’s it got to do with the past?" Qi Cheng said, "I hate you now because you deceived when I knew nothing here!"

The thought of Cheng Yanxi misleading him while he rembered nothing made Qi Cheng feel infuriated.

Cheng Yanxi sat to the side, "I didn’t want to deceive you; it was all Zhou Yixiu’s idea."

"So, you’re Zhou Yixiu’s person now?" Qi Cheng gave Cheng Yanxi a aningful look. When he rembered nothing, he thought Cheng Yanxi was a good person who treated him well, accompanying and caring for him. But when he rembered the past, all that seed like a sche by Zhou Yixiu and Cheng Yanxi working together.

Zhou Yixiu plotted to separate him and Ji Yunhuan, while this woman plotted to make him get back together with her.

Luckily, he hadn’t done anything inappropriate with Cheng Yanxi during that ti. Luckily, he didn’t have romantic feelings for Cheng Yanxi. Luckily, his love for Ji Yunhuan was strong enough that, even unaware, he hadn’t done anything to betray Ji Yunhuan. Otherwise, it would have disgusted him to death.

Cheng Yanxi explained frantically, "I have nothing to do with Zhou Yixiu. He threatened . Otherwise, why would I have rescued you from him?"

"Your acting skills are quite good." Qi Cheng had convinced himself Cheng Yanxi and Zhou Yixiu were in cahoots, so he wouldn’t believe anything Cheng Yanxi said.

Cheng Yanxi didn’t expect Qi Cheng to be so cold, "You think I’ve been deceiving you all along."

"It’s as if you never deceived . You used our old photos to claim you were my girlfriend... made stupidly believe you were good. Didn’t you deceive ?"

Cheng Yanxi felt very sad, "I did deceive you on those counts, but I had no choice."

"Deception is deception. What are you arguing?" Qi Cheng returned his gaze to the computer, "Since you saved , no matter what dealings you have with Zhou Yixiu, I won’t hold it against you. But don’t appear before anymore, or don’t bla for being rude."
