After she tidied herself up, she turned back to look at Qi Cheng sitting on the edge of the bed. He had already put on his trousers and shirt, but hadn’t buttoned it up, giving off a sense of rebelliousness.
Ji Yunhuan turned on the light in the room and looked at his quiet profile. "Where are you feeling uncomfortable?"
She hadn’t forgotten that he was a patient and was very worried sothing might be wrong with him.
Qi Cheng raised his head and looked at Ji Yunhuan. "I’m fine, I’m really okay."
"Oh."
Ji Yunhuan went to the bathroom to freshen up before coming out, helping Qi Cheng fix his hair and button up his shirt. She looked at the man in front of her... feeling as if the two had returned to the past.
Qi Cheng, after being stared at by her for a while, directly reached out and pulled her into his arms. "Why do you keep looking at ?"
"Can’t I look?" She smiled at him, "I wouldn’t want to look at anyone else, okay?"
"If you keep staring at , I’m afraid I won’t be able to hold back." Qi Cheng lowered his head and gently kissed her face; the kiss was full of tenderness and ambiguity.
Ji Yunhuan said, "Hurry up, if we go back too late, we’ll miss dinner."
At ho, dinner was always at a set ti. Ji Yunhuan didn’t want to go back late.
The two left Ji Residence and headed straight to the Qi Family in the car.
As usual, Ji Yunhuan drove, with Qi Cheng sitting beside her, looking out the car window.
The sunset light poured into the car, adding so atmosphere to the evening.
When they arrived at Qi Family, they got out of the car. Ji Yunhuan held Qi Cheng’s hand and they entered the living room.
It was almost dinner ti, and the family was getting ready for the al, but Cheng Yanxi was nowhere to be seen.
After all, she had left with Qi Cheng today, and seeing that she hadn’t returned yet, naturally made Qi Cheng a bit worried.
He looked at the servant nearby, "Has Yanxi returned?"
The servant cautiously glanced at Ji Yunhuan and replied, "No."
As soon as Qi Cheng heard the servant’s answer, he felt Ji Yunhuan release his hand.
That question made Ji Yunhuan sober up a bit more.
She sighed and walked toward the sofa, where the two children were...
When she went out with Qi Cheng, she simply wanted so ti alone with him, to take him to see her ho. She hadn’t thought about returning to the past with him right away.
But later, because of the change in their relationship, they even ended up in bed, and she naively thought she and Qi Cheng were back to their best tis together.
Even if he didn’t rember those things now, deep down, she still existed in his heart. Even without mories, they could still be fine.
However, the ntion of Cheng Yanxi’s na brought her back to reality.
He was willing to be so close with her because Cheng Yanxi wasn’t by his side, only then could he easily accept everything about her...
But once back here, he would still worry about Cheng Yanxi.
After all, no matter how much she did, she couldn’t be as important to him as Cheng Yanxi, right?
The feeling of disappointnt filled Ji Yunhuan’s heart, but her face remained calm.
She knew she couldn’t be impatient, she should be satisfied with any slight progress.
The two children greeted Ji Yunhuan when they saw her, while Qi Cheng stood aside, watching her indifferent back and sensing her displeasure.
He ca over and said, "I was just worried about her. She went out with today, and now she’s not back yet..."
"It’s okay, you don’t need to explain." Ji Yunhuan interrupted Qi Cheng, "I understand; I know she’s important to you. You can’t just forget about her so quickly."
She wished Cheng Yanxi would never co back, but from Qi Cheng’s attitude, it was obviously impossible. If Cheng Yanxi wasn’t around, Qi Cheng would definitely be concerned about her whereabouts, which ant she would return here.
At that ti, how the relationships among the three of them would be resolved would depend on Qi Cheng.
Ji Yunhuan actually hated this feeling.
She couldn’t be jealous or envious, yet had to tolerate his entanglent with his first love...
If it were under normal circumstances, she could imdiately take the children and leave, but things were different now. Qi Cheng had amnesia, his injuries hadn’t fully healed, and she had just got him back; she didn’t have the luxury to be willful.
Qi Cheng stood aside, looking at Ji Yunhuan, whose attitude was as indifferent as before they returned, marked by a significant difference.
Yet, she clearly wasn’t open to his explanation.
Moreover, since Cheng Yanxi hadn’t returned by now, he was really curious about what she was doing, so he went to make a call.
Just as Ji Yunhuan was deliberately focusing her attention on the children, she looked up and saw Qi Cheng walking out the door. Standing outside, from the window, she could see him worrying for another woman.
Ji Yunhuan felt that the painful feeling was getting more pronounced.
She really hated that feeling.
Hated that he was concerned for another woman, and also hated her own pettiness.
During dinner, Qi Cheng looked filled with concern.
Qi’s mother noticed sothing was wrong and asked with concern, "What’s wrong with Qi Cheng, no appetite?"
"Yanxi hasn’t been found." During these days, whenever they ate, Cheng Yanxi was always by his side.
Without her, besides feeling a bit unaccustod, he was also worried.
No idea where she went, or why she hadn’t co back for no apparent reason.
"She probably has her own things to do and will return once she’s done, right?" While saying this, Qi’s mother aningfully glanced at Ji Yunhuan.
Knowing that Ji Yunhuan went out with Qi Cheng in the afternoon, hearing from the servant that they seed well when they returned.
She didn’t expect Qi Cheng to still be thinking about Cheng Yanxi.
No idea what Ji Yunhuan was really feeling inside, Qi’s mother felt sowhat sympathetic toward her.
Responding to Qi’s mother, Qi Cheng said, "I couldn’t reach her on the phone either, so I’m a bit worried."
"She’ll be fine." Qi’s mother reassured him.
Ji Yunhuan sat on the side, pretending she didn’t hear any of it.
Qi Cheng said, "Before we ca back here, Zhou Yixiu always caused trouble for us. I’m afraid..."
"Recently, Zhou Yixiu doesn’t dare to do such things." After all, Zhou Jilin just released a statent, Zhou Yixiu should lay low for a while.
Qi Cheng listened to Qi’s mother’s comfort and nodded, but he still couldn’t help feeling worried.
After dinner, Qi Cheng sent soone to look for Cheng Yanxi.
Ji Yunhuan sat on the sofa, talking with Ruirui, noticing that Qi Cheng would occasionally call Cheng Yanxi.
The more concerned he was for the other woman, the more hurt she felt inside.
After making several calls, it seed like he finally got through, and Ji Yunhuan heard Qi Cheng’s voice: "Yanxi."
Finally hearing Cheng Yanxi’s voice, Qi Cheng breathed a sigh of relief, which ant she was okay.
Cheng Yanxi’s voice sounded upset, "Co and pick up."
"Okay, I’ll be right over." Without thinking of anything else, Qi Cheng just wanted to see her now, believing that her not returning for so long must an sothing happened.
