Qi Cheng considerately suggested, "Why don’t I have soone send you back first? I’ll stay here to take care of Auntie."

This way, he could handle any issues that arose.

"No need for that," Ji Yunhuan said, "I should wait. When Auntie gets better, we can go back together."

Although the doctor said Auntie was fine, Ji Yunhuan still felt very guilty.

Leaning against the railing, she recounted the day’s events to Qi Cheng.

Upon hearing it was caused by Lin Xiang, a trace of coldness flashed in Qi Cheng’s eyes, "Looks like she really has a death wish."

"But Big Brother said not to get into conflict with the Yun Family," Ji Yunhuan reminded.

A trace of malice flickered in Qi Cheng’s eyes, but his voice remained calm, "Of course, I haven’t forgotten Big Brother’s words, but dealing with Lin Xiang doesn’t require conflict with the Yun Family."

He only needed to use a few tricks to make Lin Xiang suffer from her own actions.

After hearing Qi Cheng’s words, Ji Yunhuan knew he had other ideas in mind.

Just then, Gu You was led upstairs by a servant; she saw Ji Yunhuan and Qi Cheng, "Mr. Qi, Sister Yunhuan."

Ji Yunhuan nodded at her, and Qi Cheng, who was always indifferent to outsiders, said nothing.

"I heard Auntie is ill and ca to check on her," Gu You said and then, guided by the servant, went to Auntie’s room.

Bai Liyan stood in front of the door as Gu You approached, looking at him with concern, "Is Auntie okay?"

Originally daydreaming, Bai Liyan snapped back to reality, his gaze landing on her small face, "Auntie says she’s fine."

"Oh, can I go see her now?" Gu You asked eagerly.

Bai Liyan replied, "My dad is inside right now."

He surely did not want others to disturb.

Gu You understood Bai Liyan’s implication, "Then I’ll wait a little longer to go in."

Looking at the calm-faced girl standing before him, Bai Liyan felt a deep-seated impulsion.

Gu You originally just wanted to wait patiently, but Bai Liyan suddenly grabbed her wrist, startling her; she looked at Bai Liyan in a panic.

Bai Liyan remained silent and offered no explanation, pulling her by the wrist into his bedroom.

Gu You followed Bai Liyan in confusion, and as Bai Liyan turned back to close the door, he pressed her against it, kissing her lips.

Gu You was shocked, her eyes widened—

The kiss ca suddenly and inexplicably, and as she tried to speak, it gave Bai Liyan the chance to explore her mouth.

Even though she always claid to like Bai Liyan, being kissed by him so abruptly left Gu You a little overwheld.

Instinctively rejecting, Gu You tried to push Bai Liyan away, but he did not stop the kiss.

There was a fire within his chest with no outlet, and after pushing him for a while, Gu You saw it was futile and stopped...

It wasn’t that she accepted his kiss; it was that she realized she had no right to push this man away.

He was willing to kiss her, to touch her—wasn’t that the reason she approached him?

As Bai Liyan kissed her and saw she no longer resisted, he slipped his hand under her blouse...

Gu You was taken aback by his bold move.

Since they had known each other, Bai Liyan had always been very reserved, never doing anything to offend her.

Even when she kissed him before, he never reciprocated.

He seed like a deity, unattainable and detached, which reassured Gu You a lot.

However, the atmosphere at this mont made Gu You feel a sense of danger.

She never expected Bai Liyan would do such a thing to her.

"No!" she cried, nervously grabbing the hand about to slip under her skirt.

Twenty-one-year-old Gu You was startled by his actions, instinctively clamping her legs shut.

"I’ll marry you." To accomplish his goal, Bai Liyan uttered sothing even he found shaless.

Gu You widened her eyes at him, sensing that sothing was very amiss with Bai Liyan today.

Why did he seem like a bad uncle trying to trick a little girl?

"Why the sudden change? I’m not ready yet." Feeling inexplicably confused, Gu You was nearly scared to tears by him.

"Don’t you want to?" Bai Liyan looked into her frantic eyes, "Didn’t you say you liked ?"

Bai Liyan’s words left Gu You montarily speechless; yes, she did like Bai Liyan, and she wanted to stay by his side, hoping he’d fall in love with her.

But...

The man in front of her didn’t make her feel any warmth or love.

She bit her lip, gazing foolishly at Bai Liyan, and since she said nothing, Bai Liyan took it as consent. His hands undid the buttons of her clothes, having to admit she possessed a perfect body...

He loved Ji Yunhuan and never thought of touching or offending her.

Even when Ji Yunhuan was drugged and lay on his bed, he restrained himself.

"I don’t want this with you, Bai Liyan; you make people uncomfortable in this state."

It felt as if she had done sothing wrong and he was punishing her on purpose.

Yet, she hadn’t done anything wrong. Why was he treating her like this?

"These days, wasn’t it you who offered yourself?" he looked into her eyes, "What’s your point in rejecting now? If this is playing hard to get, it’s really unnecessary!"

"I’m not!" Gu You didn’t know how to explain to him.

To her, Bai Liyan now felt like a different person, and Gu You’s tears started to fall.

She got close to Bai Liyan, not wanting to see things end up like this.

Seeing her crying, Bai Liyan realized she was genuinely upset.

In all the ti he’d known Gu You, she was always happy; he’d never seen her cry before.
