"I said, no matter what, I will not give up." Qi Cheng reached out and tightly grasped Ji Yunhuan’s hand. "If Mom ca here just to tell these things, then you don’t need to say anymore. These words an nothing to ."

"..."

Qi Cheng’s mother, who had hoped Qi Cheng would change his mind after making a trip, could only leave. As she walked away, she couldn’t stop sighing.

As a mother, at tis like this, she was the most helpless and heartbroken.

She wished so much that Qi Cheng could understand her good intentions.

More importantly, she didn’t think Ji Yunhuan was worth Qi Cheng’s sacrifices.

For this woman, for the woman who nearly killed him, he gave up all the glory he had.

This was obviously her own son, a son who used to not care about won at all, but now, he had beco soone she couldn’t even recognize.

One could only say that love is the most incomprehensible thing in this world.

After his mother left, Qi Cheng remained silent by the swimming pool in the backyard for a long ti. It was nearly dark, and he still hadn’t returned.

Ji Yunhuan walked over and looked at his back, feeling that he was more like a statue.

Although he gave up everything for her, she knew he must be feeling so sadness in his heart. It was not that he couldn’t part with everything about the Qi Family, but he couldn’t part with his family mbers.

He could also feel that his mother truly wanted what was best for him.

After all, today’s outco was because he divorced Ji Yunhuan despite his family’s opposition.

Ji Yunhuan hugged Qi Cheng from behind.

Startled, he looked at the pair of fair and slender hands in front of him, reached out to hold them, and gently asked, "What’s wrong?"

"I saw you staying here alone for a long ti." She let go of him, and Qi Cheng turned around, looked at her, and smiled. "I just feel that my mother raised for so long, and I feel a bit guilty. Just like when Yangyang is willful, you also feel sad. I feel like an unqualified son."

"Do you regret it?" A person can’t be like an island, recklessly abandoning everything around them. Everything will beco an attachnt, and it’s really not easy to disregard everything.

Qi Cheng looked at her, jokingly said, "A little, but whenever I see you, I feel like everything is worth it. I have such a beautiful wife and will have adorable children, which is already worth it."

"..." Ji Yunhuan held his hand tightly. "Qi Cheng, as long as you don’t let go, I will always stay by your side."

He had done so much for her; she couldn’t find a reason to let him down anymore. So no matter what happens in the future, she would love the man in front of her with all her heart.

"Thank you." He squeezed her hand and smiled. "Alright, let’s go inside."

The lights were on inside the house, and this villa was even smaller than Ji Yunhuan’s ho. But even with just the two of them living here, it felt very warm.

Qi Cheng had always yearned for the most ordinary and simple life. He felt like his wish had co true.

The only regret was that Yangyang was still at his second sister-in-law’s place. He didn’t know when he would be able to bring Yangyang back. Perhaps he would never have the chance again!

He wasn’t afraid of anything else; he was just afraid that Ji Yunhuan would be saddened by this matter.

Behind the villa, there was an empty patch of land. Whenever Qi Cheng had free ti, he would dig it up and plant so vegetables.

While he dug, Ji Yunhuan would sit next to him and watch.

"Qi Cheng, aren’t you tired?" The afternoon sun was warm. Ji Yunhuan sat on a chair, watching him roll up his sleeves and work diligently, thinking he really was quite bored.

Qi Cheng replied, "Not tired."

He gave her a gentle look, threw so seeds into the pit he had dug. He seed very interested in this vegetable planting.

Ji Yunhuan laughed, "It’s a pity you didn’t beco a farr! At the very least, being a carpenter would have been good!"

He wasn’t very interested in carpentry but was really enthusiastic about farming.

Ji Yunhuan saw him tinkering there for two days.

Moreover, this piece of land had been there for a while, proving that he had planned this long ago.

After throwing the seeds in, Qi Cheng walked over to another empty chair beside her and sat down. He took off the dirtied gloves and said to Ji Yunhuan, "I want to live the simplest life with you."

His words made Ji Yunhuan laugh. Under the sunshine, her smile was beautiful, like a rainbow after the rain. Bright and lovely. Qi Cheng was sowhat dazed looking at her.

Ji Yunhuan originally thought Qi Cheng would be sad after leaving the Qi Family completely. But now, he was instead enjoying this kind of life.

-

"Madam, these vegetable seedlings have grown." In the afternoon, Ji Yunhuan was idly inspecting the vegetable field, and the maid happily said to her.

Ji Yunhuan had been coming every day recently.

Qi Cheng went to look for a job, and she stayed ho to nurture the baby. Having nothing to do, she would co out to check on his vegetable field.

The seeds he had sown had broken through the soil. Although they had only sprouted two small leaves, they had at least grown.

Ji Yunhuan stood by, looking at the tiny fresh sprouts breaking through the soil. She couldn’t help but marvel at the miracle of life.

After staying for a while, Ji Yunhuan went to the nearest market with the maid to buy so things. She hoped that when Qi Cheng returned, there would be a hot dinner ready for him.

While the maid cooked, Ji Yunhuan watched. Although she knew how to cook, her skills were not very good. She realized she must learn to be a competent housewife in the future.

"Madam, there’s oil and smoke here. Please go out." The maid knew Qi Cheng’s temperant. Usually, he wouldn’t let Ji Yunhuan do anything.

"It’s okay." Since Qi Cheng was not at ho, Ji Yunhuan finally felt a bit of freedom. Even though she was pregnant, she wasn’t that delicate.

A few days ago, they had done a prenatal check-up at the hospital. The doctor said their baby was healthy.

Ji Yunhuan helped prepare the ingredients for dinner, but Qi Cheng hadn’t returned yet, so she waited.

She didn’t want to prepare the food too early, as the dishes would be cold when he arrived.

The sun slowly set. Ji Yunhuan stood in the yard, staring at the flowers and plants in a daze. Qi Cheng pushed the yard door open and walked in.

Seeing him, she happily ran over. "You’re ho?"

She had always been calm and steady. This was the first ti Qi Cheng felt she looked like a child.

"Have you been waiting long?" He smiled at her.

"Not too long." Ji Yunhuan grabbed his hand and pulled him into the house. "How did the job search go today?"

"No suitable opportunities yet." He looked at her and said, "I’ll have another look tomorrow."

"Don’t stress too much." Ji Yunhuan said. "Sit down first. I’ll get you so water."

She first instructed the maid to finish preparing dinner, then brought Qi Cheng a glass of water.
