"I promised Chenchen I would take good care of you. If I don’t spoil you, who will I spoil?"

"Qi Cheng," she said, her eyes filled with gratitude.

He lowered his head and gently kissed her lips. "You know I treat you well, so you must love even more in the future."

"Alright," she said with a resigned smile.

Dating him often felt like coaxing a child.

The two went downstairs. They had just finished dinner when they received a call from her second sister-in-law.

"Yunhuan, Leilei has co back. You don’t need to search anymore. She’s fine. You can be at ease."

Hearing this, Ji Yunhuan nodded excitedly. "Thank you, Second Sister-in-law."

Qi Cheng looked at her. "Found Leilei?"

"Yes, Second Sister-in-law said she’s fine and doing well."

Both of them breathed a sigh of relief.

Leilei had spent most of the day playing at a stranger’s aunt’s house. When evening ca, the aunt asked for her ho address and brought Leilei back.

Ji Yunhuan and Qi Cheng put aside their unpleasantness from the morning and quickly rushed to the Qi Residence.

When they arrived, the middle-aged woman who had brought Leilei back was still there. She sat on the couch, surrounded by the Qi Family, being treated like a hero.

As Ji Yunhuan and Qi Cheng reached the doorway, they heard the second sister-in-law’s voice. "Thankfully, the child didn’t et other bad people. Thank you for personally bringing her back."

It was the middle-aged woman’s first ti in such a luxurious place. She likely hadn’t expected that the girl she’d randomly picked up belonged to such a wealthy family. She was flattered by their warm reception.

"It’s nothing. Just a child. I didn’t realize you were so worried. I should have brought her back sooner."

Ji Yunhuan and Qi Cheng walked in. Except for the elder brother, the whole family was present, including Xia Duo.

Leilei was in her eldest sister-in-law’s arms, being scolded. "Look at you. What do you think you’re doing? Who allowed you to run around?"

"Alright, alright. She’s back now. That’s what matters," the second brother advised.

Seeing Ji Yunhuan, Leilei called out, "Auntie."

She wasn’t the least bit disdainful of Ji Yunhuan.

Completely unaware that Ji Yunhuan had been blad by the whole family because of her.

Ji Yunhuan asked, "Where did you run off to? You made everyone worry for so long."

The middle-aged woman had already recounted how she t Leilei. The second sister-in-law briefly explained it to Qi Cheng and Ji Yunhuan.

"It’s good that everything’s fine," Qi Cheng said, glancing at Leilei. "Co over, let Uncle have a look."

Leilei walked over to Qi Cheng, proudly saying, "I’m fine. I even made a good friend. I’ll invite her over to our house to play soday."

Since it was nightti and the middle-aged woman didn’t want to inconvenience them, she didn’t bring her daughter. The others didn’t get to et Leilei’s new friend, and Leilei felt regretful about this.

Qi Cheng looked at her helplessly. Oh, children. Scolding her now would make no difference.

Ji Yunhuan looked at Leilei and reached out to touch her face. "You disappeared in the blink of an eye. How did you end up on that bus by yourself?"

"It was a bad woman who took . She said she was taking to see my dad." Thinking of Ye Suya, Leilei’s mood soured. "Who knew she was lying?"

"Bad woman?" The eldest sister-in-law frowned. "Who?"

"The one with the surna Ye," Leilei leaned on Qi Cheng’s knee, looking innocent. It truly wasn’t her fault.

The shopping mall was crowded. Plus, Leilei was small, so none of them saw her being taken by Ye Suya.

Upon hearing the surna Ye, the eldest sister-in-law’s face turned even more terrifying than before!

"Ye Suya?"

Leilei nodded.

The eldest sister-in-law quickly stood up and walked towards the door.

Seeing her furious expression, it seed Ye Suya was in for so trouble.

Imdiately upon stepping outside, the eldest sister-in-law called the elder brother. She wanted to see how he would protect that bitch Ye Suya this ti.

"Since the child is back, I’ll get going now. I won’t disturb you anymore." The middle-aged woman had been there for a long ti.

"I’ll have soone give you a ride ho. You’ve taken care of this child all day and ca such a long way," the second sister-in-law said. She had prepared so gifts for her and arranged a driver to take her ho.

Once the middle-aged woman left, the living room quickly fell silent.

The atmosphere grew tense again.

Qi Father said, "Qi Cheng, co with ."

Because Xia Duo was there, he didn’t scold Qi Cheng outright.

From his expression, it was clear he was going to discuss Qi Cheng’s argunt with Qi Mother that morning.

"Wait for here," Qi Cheng squeezed her hand and stood up.

Once they left, only Ji Yunhuan, Xia Duo, and Qi Mother remained, along with Leilei and Qi Mo.

Xia Duo, who played a supporting role the whole day, finally had a chance to speak. She looked at Leilei, "Leilei, co over. Let Teacher Xia see. I was so worried."

Leilei walked over and spun around in front of her. "I’m fine. I’m great. That auntie’s ho was so fun."

"What did she have at her place that Leilei liked so much?"

"A good friend," Leilei said.

Xia Duo smiled sweetly.

She hugged Leilei.

She wanted Ji Yunhuan to see that her bond with Leilei was strong. She wasn’t going to leave just because Ji Yunhuan wanted her gone.

Ji Yunhuan couldn’t understand how Xia Duo, after being shooed away, had the audacity to show up again.

Xia Duo held Leilei but glanced over at Ji Yunhuan. "I heard you’ve been teaching Leilei piano?"

Ji Yunhuan remained silent, with Leilei replying, "Yes, Teacher Xia."

"Does Leilei prefer my lessons or your aunt’s?" Xia Duo didn’t believe her long-standing relationship with Leilei could be so easily replaced.

"I like both of you teaching ," Leilei looked around, unwilling to choose.

Yet her answer satisfied Xia Duo quite well.

Xia Duo smiled slightly. "Thank you, Leilei. I’m also sorry I can’t continue to be your teacher."

"Then why don’t you co back?" she asked innocently.

Unaware that Xia Duo was waiting for just that question.

Xia Duo looked at Ji Yunhuan, speaking with ulterior motives, "Although Leilei is fine, your carelessness shows you don’t really keep her in mind, do you?"

Ji Yunhuan knew Xia Duo was trying to seize this opportunity to turn things around.

She also understood Xia Duo was deliberately nitpicking.

But considering Qi Cheng’s argunt with Qi Mother that day, and Qi Mother being present, Ji Yunhuan refrained from rebutting.

Leilei’s disappearance was Ye Suya’s fault, but it was also due to her lack of caution. Defending herself would only make Qi Mother dislike her more.

She looked at Qi Mother. "Mom, about today’s incident, I apologize on behalf of Qi Cheng. It’s all my fault, not his. Please don’t be mad at Qi Cheng."

Qi Mother had been restraining her anger all day. Although Leilei’s return brought relief, it was a separate matter.

Her son’s rebellion caused her great distress.

She looked at Ji Yunhuan coldly. "You think a simple apology will solve the problem?"

"I will have Qi Cheng apologize to you himself. This won’t happen again," Ji Yunhuan promised.
