"I missed you so much, I couldn’t sleep." He gazed at her gently. "I’ve been thinking about you every day these past days, hoping I could fall asleep holding you. But for so reason... now that you’re in my arms, I still can’t sleep."
"Then keep looking! I’m going to sleep." Ji Yunhuan pretended to close her eyes. Qi Cheng reached out and held her tight. "Heartless woman."
"It’s very late now. Just because I want to sleep, I’m heartless?"
"Pretty much." He gently stroked her soft hair, gazing at her delicate face. She was so beautiful and enchanting, yet always had so little sches hidden, thinking about how to trouble him.
Thinking that she even kept such an important thing from him, he really wanted to bite her.
And so he did.
He lowered his head and lightly bit her lip.
Ji Yunhuan’s eyes widened, looking at this amorous man. "You said you didn’t want to; don’t regret it now."
It was so late, she didn’t have the energy to cope with him.
Although she had just been discharged from the hospital and had rested well these days, it was still too late.
Seeing her push him away, Qi Cheng looked into her eyes. "I didn’t think."

"In what way have you wronged ?" Ji Yunhuan looked at him.
"I’ve been too sensitive about you and Gu Yubai." Thinking back now, it felt like he was overthinking things.
She had been with Gu Yubai for so long and never had that kind of relationship with him. It seed he really shouldn’t have been jealous.
Ji Yunhuan said, "It’s okay! Those things are in the past, let’s not ntion them. Even the matter with Ye Suya, I don’t hold it against you now, so let’s just let it go!"
He was mad at Gu Yubai only because he cared about her.

Qi Cheng pulled up the quilt, wrapping both of them inside.
Ji Yunhuan didn’t expect that even after so long, in the end, they simply slept in bed.
In the morning, Ji Yunhuan woke up at eight.
Qi Cheng was still lying next to her, not having taken a single step away.
Seeing him, Ji Yunhuan didn’t rush to get up. She asked, "How long does Ye Suya plan to stay at ho?"
"Big brother will be back in a couple of days. Grandpa has been keeping him by his side lately, probably wanting to teach him a good lesson!" Qi Cheng had been taken to grandpa’s side before too, and that feeling was unbearable.
He felt a bit sympathetic for his brother.
Ji Yunhuan said, "Why don’t we bring Chen Chen over? He should co back and have a look. He’d surely be happy."
"No." Qi Cheng refused without a second thought. "I don’t want to be disturbed."
He only wanted to be with her.
Nobody else.
"Alright!" They had been apart for too long. They indeed needed so ti alone together.
The two of them had been chatting in bed for a while when the phone rang.
"Hand the phone." Since it was on the table on the other side, Ji Yunhuan couldn’t reach it.
Qi Cheng grabbed the phone and saw the na "Second Sister-in-law" on the screen, frowning.
He unlocked it and handed it to her.
Ji Yunhuan took the phone, keeping an eye on Qi Cheng’s reaction. She knew he really had a grudge against her second sister-in-law. She answered, "Second Sister-in-law."
"Are you up? I had soone make so breakfast, ready to bring it over to you." Being alone outside, her second sister-in-law had been truly kind to her.
"No need." Ji Yunhuan said, "I want to rest at ho today. You don’t need to co over, Second Sister-in-law. You’ve taken care of for many days, you should rest too." If her second sister-in-law insisted on coming over, Ji Yunhuan wouldn’t mind, but Qi Cheng might cause a ruckus.
"I didn’t pick you up from the hospital yesterday, so I’m worried and just want to check on you."
"My health has improved a long ti ago. The injury wasn’t serious anyway." It was her second sister-in-law who had insisted on her staying in the hospital for observation, fearing she might have a concussion. That’s why she had been forced to stay in the hospital.
"Thank you for your concern, Second Sister-in-law. You go ahead with your own matters, I’m fine with the maids here."
After making excuses for a while, she finally declined her second sister-in-law’s kindness.
After hanging up the phone, she saw Qi Cheng’s unhappy face.
She pinched his hand, "Are you really mad at Second Sister-in-law?"
"She always badmouths ." Qi Cheng’s eyes bore a warning. "I’m telling you, Ji Yunhuan, if you dare beco as domineering as Second Sister-in-law, I definitely won’t like you!"
Ji Yunhuan’s face went stiff. "You say you like , but it’s only that little? If I change, you won’t like anymore?"
"Of course. If you change, would you still be you? I love only you, the way you are now! Do you understand?" His voice was assertive.
He seed particularly afraid she would beco like Second Sister-in-law.
Second Brother loved Second Sister-in-law, always indulging her and listening to everything she said at ho.
But Qi Cheng was a chauvinist. He hated that kind of behavior. He loved Ji Yunhuan, but in many matters, he still wanted her to listen to him.
Ji Yunhuan’s voice carried so regret. "So if I one day grow old, you won’t love either, right? Really heartbreaking."
"You already know that."
"I..." She couldn’t help rolling her eyes at him. "How afraid are you that I’ll change? Can’t you just sweet-talk a little?"
"I don’t tell lies."
"Then I won’t love you when you’re old either!" Ji Yunhuan, being extrely annoyed, couldn’t help wanting to irritate him in return.
Qi Cheng raised his brow, "I won’t get old!"
"Co on! After this year, you’ll be thirty. A thirty-year-old man, you won’t get old? You’re already old, okay?"
"Thirty is old? What kind of logic is that?" He looked at her indifferently.
Ji Yunhuan couldn’t reason with him, so she couldn’t help but persuade, "Actually, Second Sister-in-law is not that bad! Although she sotis criticizes you, most of the ti she’s advising not to argue with you. Rember when you were in the hospital? She thought I wasn’t good to you and even got mad at ? She’s always fair and doesn’t side with anyone. Why are you mad at her?"
In the past, Qi Cheng and Second Sister-in-law were not close, but they were okay. Otherwise, whenever sothing happened to him, it was always Second Sister-in-law who ca to take care of him. "Actually, Second Sister-in-law is the most diligent person in this family."
"I still don’t like her."
Because every ti Second Sister-in-law talked about Qi Cheng, he sohow would always overhear it!
Ji Yunhuan felt helpless.
She looked at him and promised, "Alright! I’ll try not to beco like Second Sister-in-law."
Although this promise was a lie.
But to avoid arguing, she decided to yield a little!
Qi Cheng was content with her words.
Seeing his smug expression, Ji Yunhuan smiled, "But Qi Cheng, make no mistake. I... am much harder to please than Second Sister-in-law."
Second Sister-in-law cared about others.
But Ji Yunhuan wasn’t that nice.
And when she got into a mood, she was much worse than Second Sister-in-law.
