Xu Ying had prepared the al, and she was ready to head ho.

With disdain, she countered, “Then what are you, a kept man?
Always talking about wanting to be with , to develop our feelings, then why do you constantly deceive for things to eat?”
Dong Wenzhong choked, his expression darkening, “Xu Ying, when have I ever deceived you for things to eat? You gave them to yourself.”
“Oh~” Xu Ying drew out her tone.
Seeing her like this, Dong Wenzhong grew a bit fearful because whenever Xu Ying acted this way recently, she was gearing up for a serious scolding.
“Xu Ying, the reason I did those things was because I wasn’t getting enough to eat.
Even if I was wrong before, I’m willing to change now. Don’t you know what kind of person Huo Chen is?

Unconvinced, Dong Wenzhong retorted, “Then how did you find a job?”
“How did I find it? I found it using my excellent cooking skills,” Xu Ying said, too lazy to talk to this big fool, acting as if soone owed him sothing.
“Just you, bragging,” Dong Wenzhong said with disdain.
Xu Ying was too lazy to talk and glanced at Huo Chen, signaling him with her eyes to continue walking her ho.
Huo Chen followed her, while Dong Wenzhong shalessly chased after them. “Xu Ying, please help find a job, and when I earn money, I will spend it on you.”
Xu Ying couldn’t even bear to look at him. “Sorry, I can’t find one.”
She thought about how hard it was to find that job; if she really found it, she would give it to her family, not to so outsider.
Xu Ying was so angry she could have beaten him up if they weren’t in public.
She quickly walked ahead, leaving Dong Wenzhong behind and returned ho.
Huo Chen watched her safely enter the yard before turning around and leaving. He saw Dong Wenzhong from a distance, and his eyes darkened.
The next day, Xu Ying woke up and had breakfast, only to hear that Dong Wenzhong had been beaten.
She couldn’t help but smile gleefully. “Serves him right!”
Mrs. Xu also laughed, saying that ever since her daughter had taken a dislike to Dong Wenzhong, she never minced words: “Have you ever seen such a shaless man? Mrs. Xu nodded, thinking about the leftover wild boar at at ho, which was old and not very tasty.
Just yesterday her daughter had gone to help cook at the Huo Family’s place, and Huo Chen directly gave her two wild hares and a wild chicken, so she generously said, “You can’t go back empty-handed. We still have so wild boar at left; you can take a couple of pounds to your parents.”

Xu Ying laughed and shook her head: “Then co back early, don’t forget about your little aunt.”
The kids nodded.
After they left, Mrs. Xu muttered, “Daughter, I know you have money, but you can’t just spend it like this. You buying fabric is one thing, but why buy so much red fabric. It’s so hard to find, and giving it away just like that… If people appreciate it, fine, but if they don’t, I’d skin them alive.”
“Mom, you know what kind of person Eldest Sister-in-law is. If she takes sothing, she will definitely treat even better,” Xu Ying said.
Her sister-in-law indeed was that kind of person; if you did a small favor for her, she’d repay you threefold.
