After Aria has taken the drink, Layla dragged her to the dance floor.
Aria felt uncomfortable being around sweaty bodies and seeing Layla dancing seductively with a stranger made her stomach turn.
Even though Layla was dancing, her eyes were focused on Aria; she frowned when she saw that Aria’s eyes were still clear and nothing was happening to her.
Didn’t that idiot put what I asked him to mix with the drink? Why hasn’t she started to feel dizzy?
Layla pushed the man she was dancing with away and grabbed Aria’s hand, leading her to the restroom, which was quieter, but a little music could still be heard.
Aria forcefully removed her hand from Layla’s and snapped, "Stop dragging around."
"Aren’t you feeling dizzy?" Layla asked, ignoring Aria’s anger.
Aria, who was massaging her wrist, which Layla had held tightly, froze and looked at her, "Am I supposed to feel dizzy? Is that why you brought here, to drug ?"
Layla chuckled nervously and opened the faucet. Washing her hands, she said, "What are you saying? I only asked that because I was starting to feel dizzy after one drink of that thing. I was only wondering if you were feeling the sa."
"You weren’t dancing like soone who was feeling dizzy, Layla. In fact, you aren’t looking like a dizzy person, either."
Layla dried her hands with the tissue that was placed at the dispenser and said, "That is because I feel better now after washing my hands, and is it just my imagination, or do you sound angry? I have also caught you many tis, looking at with a frown on your face."
Aria scoffed and said, "Since you aren’t actually my friend, I was curious about why you have invited here. What could the plan be? In what way do you wish to harm at a club? I thought of these things, but now after hearing your question on if I felt dizzy, I am certain you planned to drug , but why? Is it to take sowhere or what?"
Layla looked at Aria with a confused gaze and asked, "What are you talking about? What plan? Harming you? Why would I want to harm you, and how could you say that I’m not your friend?"
"I know who you really are, so you can drop the act."
Layla still maintained the innocent look on her face as she asked, "What act? I don’t understand anything you are saying, Aria."
"The worst part is, you dared to use my mother’s na to get close to . There were tis that I felt you were a crazy person, but I ignored it, not knowing how ugly you really are."
The mont she said the word ’ugly,’ Layla’s expression imdiately changed into anger. "Did you just call ugly?"
Aria frowned at the way her expression quickly changed, but she was not scared and boldly repeated her words, "A person who has done what you have done to is an ugly person. I know your na isn’t Layla, and you also don’t study at Miland College. Did soone send you to , or did you just decide to play this ga with by yourself?"
Layla’s eyes widened in shock as she stared at Aria, but her expression quickly morphed into uncontrollable laughter.
Aria’s frown deepened, confused by Layla’s laughter.
"Did I say sothing funny?"
Layla stopped laughing and said, "It’s not sothing you said; it’s you who is funny."
"What?"
"You know, Aria, when I was young, I always wanted to be an actress, but unfortunately that dream was snatched from , but you made my dream co alive again. At first, I thought I would easily be caught, but I was so good at pretending that it actually took you this long to catch . You are really naive, Aria, but I give all credit to Hailey. If she hadn’t left you feeling so lonely, then maybe I would never have gotten a chance."
"Why did you do it? How did you even know my mother’s na was Layla?"
Layla shrugged and replied, "Master knows everything."
"Master?"
"Don’t bother trying to find out who he is; you will never know. I am kind of disappointed, though. Couldn’t you find out the truth tomorrow? I had such big plans for you tonight."
"Was kidnapping to this master of yours one of your plans?"
"Master does not wish to harm you; it is I who hate you. I hate how pretty you look; it is annoying. The truth is, I did pay the bartender to drug you, but it wasn’t to kidnap you. I told him that my friend was pretty and she would love to spend the night with him with a little support. I an, didn’t you notice the way he was looking at you as if you were a al? I’m certain he drugged you, so why didn’t it work?"
"Sorry to burst your bubble, but I can’t be drugged. You are disgusting for wanting to do that with , and I wasn’t the one who asked you to be ugly." Aria said intentionally, she has already noticed that Layla was obsessed with her face and hated being called ugly.
This ti, Layla didn’t get angry when Aria called her ugly; instead, she smiled and said, "After I carved up your pretty face, only you will be the ugly one here."
Layla drew out her claws and slowly walked towards Aria, just the way a predator would walk towards its prey.
Aria stood a step back as Layla walked towards her and heard her say.
"You can’t run from , Aria. No one will co to your rescue. I can’t wait to see your teary face after I have designed it with my claws." There was pure excitent on Layla’s face as she said those words.
Aria’s back hit the wall, and she smiled. "Who said anything about running? You are mistaken, Layla; I am not the prey; you are."
Layla laughed angrily and tried to attack Aria with her claw but couldn’t, her hands couldn’t even get to her face.
The pendant on Aria’s neck appeared, and the gemstone started glowing.
Layla frowned when she saw it and asked, "What is this?"
Aria brought out a syringe from her purse as she replied, "It’s sothing you don’t have to worry about." And stabbed it on her neck.
Layla scread and tried to injure Aria with her claws, but it did not work.
Aria took out the syringe; after injecting its contents into Layla, she watched as Layla stumbled backward before finally collapsing on the floor.
Aria let out a sigh and used her leg to shake Layla’s unconscious body in order to check if she would react.
"It really worked." Aria whispered as she put the syringe back into her purse.
"What a crazy bitch!" Aria said, looking at the unconscious body. Now, she has to find a way to carry her body from here.
