Milton is dead? But how?

"Was it a feral that killed him? Tristan asked.

"I believe so, but... his body was all dried up. This is a first."

"The Ferals are wolves, not bloodsuckers." Elwynne said, observing Milton’s dead body. His body was so dry that he was sure that not even a little bit of blood remained.

"Who found his body?" An Alpha asked.

"His witch, Kia." Celphias replied.

"Have you questioned her?" Tristan asked.

"What is there to question? With the gift of her sight, she knew that her Alpha was dead and traced his body to a forest. What more do I need to ask her? There are wolf marks on his body, and we know little about the Ferals, so maybe draining a wolf’s blood is one of their unique skills."

"Celphias is right. The Ferals are still a mystery to us, and so far we have been unable to catch even one of them. First it was John, now Milton. This matter is really getting out of hand."

"And that is why I have called for this ergency eting. The witch Noelle, who is also an Elder, has been able to locate a place that could very well be the Ferals hideout. I want Alpha Richard and Elywnn to visit this hideout."

"Can we really trust the vision of a woman who massacred her entire family?" Tristan sneered.

"And that is exactly why she is an Elder. If your distrust against Noelle’s vision is because of what she has done, then let tell you what I did to beco an Elder."

"You ripped out the heart of your own mother, but then again, your hatred for your mother wasn’t exactly news to us, but Noelle, on the other hand, suffocated her four-month-old baby to beco an elder. It’s been almost a year now since the Ferals started their attack, and all of a sudden, after Milton’s death, she has finally found their hideout. You can’t be that stupid, Celphias." Tristan said mockingly.

"What are you trying to say?" Celphias asked angrily. He was an elder, a rank even higher than an Alpha, but yet Tristan dared to undermine and insult his intelligence in front of everybody.

"Noelle can’t be trusted." Alpha Elywnn said, supporting Tristan.

"You seed to have forgotten your place, Tristan. You may be the Alpha of a powerful pack, but I am your superior, and I have given you all a command to follow."

"And how would you have us follow your command? Would you drag us by the ear to this hideout?"

"Tristan!"

"All I am saying is the truth, and we are Alphas, and you may be an Elder, but neither of us are your kids, so do you treat us like one?" If anything were to happen to Richard and Elywnn there, will you be capable of handling the responsibility?

"Then, do you have a solution? Another one of us is dead; do we sit back and do nothing?"

"I have a solution."

.....

In an underground cave, a man wearing a black suit looked around him to ensure he wasn’t being followed before muttering, "My life is your own, Master."

The walls of the cave, which looked normal, suddenly divided into two, and he looked around him again before entering inside.

After he entered inside, the walls closed up, looking no different from a normal wall.

"Gerald, you are here." A woman called out the na of the man who had just walked in.

Gerald looked around the secret lab and saw hundreds of unconscious wolves.

The woman noticed his gaze and teased, "Scared you will go back to being on that bed?"

Gerald ignored her question and said, "Give my dosage; this ti increase it."

The woman frowned and asked, "Do you still feel the urge of going on a rampage?"

Gerald sat on a vacant bed and rolled up his sleeves without saying anything.

They sighed and said, "I can’t increase the dosage if I don’t know what’s wrong with you."

"I need to the voices to stop," Gerald said.

"What do these voices say?"

"You do not need to know that." Gerald said, looking at the woman coldly.

The woman scoffed and said, "So even with the master magic, the demons in your head still continue to hunt you. You do know what will happen if you go on a rampage?"

"I know, and that is why I need you to increase the dosage. I must see the master plan to the end, and only then will I find rest."

"If you can’t control your bloodlust, then you are no different from a liability to the Master."

"And that is why I want you to increase the dosage."

The woman smiled and shook her head. "Increasing the dosage will make you useless to the master, and that cannot happen." I understand you, Gerald; I understand how desperate you are to please the master; after all, he was the only one who cared for you when no one did. Even your mate, whom you had loved, betrayed you and led the humans to capture you. She watched as they experinted on you, but Master saved you; he saved us all and used his magic to heal us."

Gerald kept quiet for a few seconds before he asked, "Then tell , how can I make these voices stop?"

"Why do you want to make it stop?"

"You said it yourself. I will only be a liability to the master if I can’t control my bloodlust, and even right now, I still hear their voices. Kill. Kill everyone. Kill them all."

The woman walked closer to him and caressed his hair. "I will give you sothing else for the voices; it will calm you, but if it persists, then that only ans that giving him to your voices is the only way for it to stop."

Gerald nodded and held his head in pain. "Just give it to ." He shouted.

The woman watched as he scread in pain and his eyes slowly started to beco red. She let out a sigh and brought out a syringe from her pocket and stabbed it into his neck.

She held him close to her as Gerald slowly lost consciousness and then made him lie on the bed.

Watching his peaceful face as he slept, her face slowly twisted in disgust as she said, "Is Elise the only successful experint?"

.....

As Aria decided to take an afternoon nap on the couch, she found herself in a dark forest, and as usual, she thought she was going to see the girl that looked like her, but this ti she saw Milton talking to a woman.

She could see their mouth moving, but she couldn’t hear anything they were saying.

Aria decided to move closer to them, but before she could take a step, she saw the woman kiss Miton, and right in front of her, she saw his body dry up and fall to the ground, and then she heard the woman say.

"What a sha, and I still had so many uses for him. However, no one must know that Tristan is the white wolf. The Master will be very angry if anyone else were to find out the truth."

"The white wolf." Aria whispered, her gaze moving to Milton’s lifeless body, and she wondered if the reason she hadn’t heard from him was because he was dead.

"Is what I am seeing even real?" Aria muttered.

"It is real." A voice answered.

Aria turned to the voice and saw a woman looking directly at her.

"Who are you?" She asked.

"I am Kia, the witch of the Shadow Moon Pack, and what you are seeing right now is my vision. I saw as he was killed, and very soon the one who has ended his life will co for , and the only one who can protect is you, Aria."

"What? Protect you? I think you have the wrong person." Aria said and turned to see that both Milton and the woman who had killed him were gone.

"Aria, you are stronger than you think you are." Kia said, taking a step closer to her.

But Aria took a step back and said, "I don’t want to get involved in any of this. I am just a wolfless werewolf, and the only thing I want is to get a cure for my grandmother."

"You are already involved in this more than you know it, and the poison given to your grandmother has no cure."

"You are lying, and I want to leave this place."

Kia’s features beca cold as she said, "You can’t leave, not unless you discover the power within you."

Aria’s heart sank when she heard that she couldn’t leave. Her heart beca filled with fear as she began to think on how she was going to get out of here.

Back at the apartnt, Tristan walked into the living room and saw that Aria was sleeping on the couch. He was about to carry it to the bedroom when he heard her say.

"Please, please, get out of here. I don’t want to stay here. I’m scared."
