Denis wanted to resist, to push her away and remind himself of the betrayal that still burned deep within him. But the mont he t her smoldering gaze, sothing inside him snapped. That fire of desire ignited with a force he couldn’t control. His breath grew heavier as her fingers grazed the sensitive skin at his collarbone while she unbuttoned the top of his shirt.

Tania leaned in, her lips hovering over his, teasing him with the warmth of her breath. Then she kissed him—soft at first, but when he didn’t pull away, she deepened it, tangling her fingers in his hair.

Denis groaned against her mouth, his hands gripping her waist and pulling her closer.

As the kiss turned breathless, she pulled back, her lips swollen and curved into a knowing smile. Her fingers trailed down his chest, skimming over the fabric of his shirt with deliberate slowness.

Denis clasped the armrests, his heart pounding. Tania’s finger moved further south and unbuckled his belt.

"Tania...stop it," he said breathlessly. "This is my workplace and..."

"Shh," she silenced him, pressing a finger against his lips. "Just enjoy it. Forget about everything, the stress, the pressing matters... Just focus on , on this mont."

As she spoke, she unbuttoned his pants and unzipped his fly, rubbing his tight crotch.

"Uh." Denis released a shaky breath, his head falling back against the chair. Every nerve in his body was on edge, every muscle tensed with anticipation when she took out his erection and clasped it.

Her touch was soft and teasing as she moved her hand along his length up and down.

Denis clasped the armrests tightly, his eyes closing as he savored the sensation she was giving. He grew bigger and tighter as she continued her action. He lifted his head for a mont and looked down at her, only to see her kneeling in front of him.

Their eyes locked at that mont, and Denis’s breath hitched in his throat. Flashing a teasing smile, she lowered her head and took him inside her mouth.

"Fuck," he groaned, his thighs clenching, and his hips lifting a bit as he thrusted inside her mouth.

Tania bobbed her head, her tongue swirling expertly, working him with practiced skill. The heat of her mouth, the soft pull of her lips, the relentless movent—it all pushed him dangerously close to the edge.

The mory of her beneath him, her body writhing under his touch, her breathless moans filling his ears—it was Anne he wanted.

The thought alone sent a wave of heat rushing through him. His muscles tensed, his fingers gripping the armrests even tighter as he thrust into her mouth one final ti before losing himself.

A guttural groan escaped him, his entire body shuddering as pleasure tore through him. Sweat clung to his brow, his breathing ragged and uneven.

Tania slowly pulled back, wiping her mouth with the pad of her thumb, her gaze filled with satisfaction. Rising to her feet, she leaned in, pressing herself against him, her lips parting for a kiss—to continue what they had started.

But Denis’s hand shot up, stopping her before she could get any closer.

"Enough..." Zipping up his fly, he straightened his posture, adjusting his pants. "No more playing gas."

Tania blinked, taken aback. "But—"

Knock-Knock...

The sudden sound at the door cut her off. She swallowed her frustration as she stepped back, biting her lip to keep from protesting further.

Denis exhaled sharply, running a hand through his hair as he buttoned up his shirt.

"Co in."

The door creaked open, and his assistant, Haris, stepped in, holding a tablet. "Sir, this is the—"

Denis held up a hand, silencing him before he could continue. His gaze flickered toward Tania. "You should leave now," he said coldly.

Tania clenched her fists, clearly displeased. But she wouldn’t dare anger him. Without a word, she left.

The mont she stepped outside, Becca rushed toward her, anticipation flickering in her eyes.

"Ma’am, is the boss ready to fire Anne?" Becca asked eagerly.

Tania pushed the anger away, regaining her composure. "Soon, she’ll be gone," she said smoothly. "Just make sure you keep painting her as careless in her work."

Becca’s eyes glead with satisfaction. "You can count on ," she assured her, already envisioning herself stepping into Anne’s role as Denis’s secretary.

"Keep updating ." Adjusting the strap of her purse, Tania reached into her bag and pulled out a sleek pair of sunglasses. She walked away elegantly.

Inside the office...

Haris placed the tablet in front of Denis, the surveillance footage playing on the screen. "It’s Becca. She is the one who deleted the file from Miss Anne’s laptop."

Denis’s eyes darkened instantly, a dangerous glint flashing through them. He watched in silence as Becca’s movents played out on the screen. Rage simred in his chest, his hold tightening around the edge of the tablet.

"She did it on purpose just to trouble Miss Anne," Haris continued. "This is a serious offense, sir. You should fire her imdiately. Because of her, today’s important eting will have to be canceled. The investors—"

Denis abruptly held up a hand, silencing him. He returned the tablet to Haris. "Delete the footage," he commanded coldly. "Anne shouldn’t know about it."

Haris blinked, startled. "What?" He had expected Denis to punish Becca, not cover up her wrongdoing.

"But, sir..." He hesitated. "You... want to delete the footage? But Miss Anne..." He tried to protest.

"Do as I say," Denis roared, slapping the table.

Haris swallowed hard, lowering his head in submission. "I understand, sir. I’ll delete the footage imdiately." He turned and dashed out of the office.

Left alone, Denis’s expression pinched. He wanted to make Anne realize that she was nothing without him and that she couldn’t survive without his support.

’Anne, you have to apologize to ,’ he muttered to himself.

Anne sat alone on a bench in the office courtyard, her gaze fixed on the three-tier fountain, but she wasn’t really seeing it. Her mind was a tangled ss, reeling from everything that had happened.

She had wanted to resign, but not like this, humiliated and accused of being careless and incompetent.

"Becca set up," she muttered. "But why? Why did she do that?"

Becca had always been kind to her—or at least, that’s what Anne had thought. She had trusted her, considered her a friend. And yet, in the end, she had been deceived.

Anne’s insides twisted with resentnt. "People in this world are cruel," she muttered bitterly. "Full of deceit and lies. No one is trustworthy."

She clasped the edge of the bench, anger simring beneath the surface. No. She wouldn’t let this slide. She refused to let Becca humiliate her. She wouldn’t let her win.

Anne determined to expose Becca, but she couldn’t do that without a proof.

"The surveillance cara," she mumbled, recalling the security caras installed on every floor of the office building. "I need to get the footage."

She stood up to go to the security room. Her phone buzzed in her hand, cutting through her thoughts. She glanced down at the screen.

It was the doctor – the one treating her father.

Her body went rigid. Dread coiled tightly in her stomach.

Why was he calling?

Her heart pounded against her ribs, her fingers trembling as she accepted the call.

"Hello?" she whispered, fearing what she might hear.

"Miss Clair," the doctor’s voice ca through. "A new set of dication has just arrived. This treatnt has been recently launched and has shown miraculous results in comatose patients. I strongly recomnd that you consider purchasing it. There is a high chance this could bring your father out of the coma."
