The Wraith humd with quiet urgency as it soared above the rust-red canyons of Kesthara. Inside, tension simred under every word, every glance.

Elara sat in the training bay, wrapping gauze around a cut on her forearm. Nova approached, tossing her a nutrient bar.

"You going to keep absorbing psychic data until your brain lts, or are we taking turns this ti?"

Elara gave a tired laugh. "Only if you want to live in my nightmares."

Nova smirked but sat beside her. "You’re not the only one with ghosts, Voss. Just the only one stupid enough to download them."

They sat in silence for a mont, the kind that said more than words.

Lyne’s scans brought them to their next target: an abandoned forge deep within Kesthara’s volcanic basin. The heat was suffocating, but the energy readings were undeniable.

"This place was a forge... but not for weapons," Lyne said. "They were making sothing alive."

Elara’s brow furrowed. "Synthetic sentience?"

Damien nodded. "Or worse. A vessel for overwriting real consciousness."

As they descended into the molten depths, they found tal shells, humanoid, motionless, stacked like coffins. So were open. Empty.

"They were testing personalities," Nova murmured. "Requiem wasn’t just altering history. They were replacing it."

A figure erged from the shadows. Not a Requiem soldier, soone Elara hadn’t seen in years.

"Valen," she whispered.

Her brother.

He was supposed to be dead.

"You’re too late, Elara. Requiem isn’t the enemy. We are."

Before anyone could move, Valen activated a failsafe. The facility groaned as molten fissures cracked through the floor.

"You should have let the past burn," he said, disappearing into smoke and fla.

Chaos erupted. The team sprinted through collapsing catwalks, dodging firebursts and falling debris.

Elara hesitated, staring at the console Valen had used.

"Go!" Damien shouted.

"He’s alive. I have to know why!"

She accessed the system, downloading fragnted files. Faces flashed, hers, Valen’s, her parents, stamped with Requiem’s seal. They were all part of sothing deeper.

Nova dragged her away as the ceiling caved in. They barely escaped aboard the Wraith, the forge engulfed behind them.

"Valen’s alive. And working with them," Elara said, her voice hollow.

"He looked changed," Nova added. "Like he believed what he said."

Lyne was already scanning the downloaded fragnts. "These files suggest a project called ECHOSIGHT. It wasn’t just mory rewriting. It was full identity replacent."

Damien clenched his fists. "Requiem didn’t just take our history. They rewrote us."

Elara looked out the viewport, flas still flickering in her mind. "If Valen can be turned... anyone can."

The team gathered in the war room. One by one, they spoke their truths.

Nova: "I lost my unit. Not in battle—in surgery. They made us forget who we were. I want their faces back."

Damien: "They killed my sister and printed her into a diplomat. I spoke to her body last year. It wasn’t her anymore."

Lyne: "I was a Requiem engineer. I built the encryption. I thought I was making security systems. I was building cages."

Elara: "They raised to destroy my family, then made forget why. I’m done forgetting."

They placed their hands together, not in unity—but in fury, in grief, and in purpose.

"Next core," Elara said. "We end ECHOSIGHT. We start Reclamation."
