Manager Wilson suddenly sensed sothing was wrong, and his voice began to stamr. "N-no, that’s not it! This woman claims she has a platinum card, but we’ve never seen one. She must be a fraud..."

"Idiot!"

President Taylor strode quickly to Selina, catching sight of the card in her hand and imdiately feeling lightheaded.

A platinum card like this—there were only two in the entire world! One belonged to Logan, the head of the Reid Group, and the other had been gifted years ago by the owner to an esteed guest.

Regardless of which card this was, the woman before him was soone he absolutely could not afford to offend.

President Taylor’s legs trembled as he spoke with a tone full of reverence and appeasent. "Miss, may I have the honor of knowing your last na?"

The surrounding crowd was stunned into silence, watching as President Taylor bowed and scraped before Selina. Words escaped them.

Jillian was on the verge of losing her mind. Could this be a mistake? How could Selina possibly be a platinum cardholder?!

Selina glanced at Jillian and suddenly smiled faintly. "No need for formalities. My last na is Clark."

"Clark?" President Taylor imdiately understood the connection between Selina and Natalia, internally cursing Manager Wilson’s lack of discernnt. He personally brewed a cup of coffee for Selina, wiping the sweat from his brow as he asked, "Miss Clark, is there anything I can assist you with?"

The arrival of a platinum cardholder at their mall was a badge of honor! If need be, President Taylor was prepared to pay out of his own pocket to ensure she stayed.

Selina, however, looked disinterested.

"There’s really nothing to assist with," she said with a faint tone. "I was interested in a pair of couple’s watches, but Mrs. Carter here made it clear that if Manager Wilson dared sell them to , it would an offending the Carter family. Manager Wilson was just about to kick out."

"Just about to kick out..."

President Taylor was drenched in sweat, shuddering as he exclaid, "Miss Clark! You are our esteed guest, and no one has the right to drive you away! May I ask which watches caught your eye? I’ll personally buy them for you as an apology!"

Selina’s expression remained indifferent.

Panicked, President Taylor shot a glare at Manager Wilson, yelling, "Why aren’t you packaging up the watches Miss Clark wanted?!"

Jillian, bewildered by President Taylor’s attitude, stamred, "President Taylor, you must be mistaken! Selina is just so bumpkin. The watch she picked out only costs 300,000. That platinum card must be fake!"

"Silence!" President Taylor snapped, frowning in disgust. "The Carter family claims to be a prestigious lineage of over a century, yet it married soone as unreasonable as you? Do you think I don’t know if a platinum card is genuine?"

For the first ti, Jillian was publicly scolded without rcy. Humiliated and furious, she shrieked, "Natalia doesn’t even have a platinum card! How could that wretch possibly have one? This has to be a mistake!"

If Selina had a platinum card and outshone Natalia, it would prove that Ryan made the wrong choice—and Jillian couldn’t allow that to happen.

Natalia’s face turned ashen as she bit her lip, tears streaming pitifully down her face.

Selina smirked at the two won, her tone lazy and nonchalant. "President Taylor, as you can see, it’s not that I don’t want to stay. It’s just that Mrs. Carter clearly doesn’t welco ."

"Besides, the Carter family is a valued custor of this store. If Manager Wilson looks down on , that’s perfectly reasonable."

"It’s just a watch. I can buy one anywhere. I won’t impose further."

With that, Selina turned and headed toward the exit.

President Taylor’s face darkened instantly as he turned a murderous glare toward Jillian.

"I hereby announce that the Carter family is permanently banned from this mall! No mber of the Carter family will be allowed to step foot here again! Mrs. Carter, kindly return the watches you selected."

"And as for you, Manager Wilson! You dared to grovel before wealth while driving away a true VIP. You can leave along with the Carter family!"

Jillian’s eyes widened as her mind echoed with a deafening realization.

Carter Family has been blacklisted... Carter Family has been blacklisted...!

This was the largest luxury mall in City A, a favorite destination for the city’s elite won and socialites.

If the Carter Family was blacklisted—especially because of her—it would turn her into a laughingstock!

President Taylor, uninterested in their plight, turned to Selina and asked, "Miss Clark, is this resolution to your satisfaction?"

Selina blinked. "Not bad. It seems President Taylor is quite sincere. I’ll stay and continue shopping."

President Taylor felt his knees nearly buckle. Thankfully... thankfully, he had managed to keep her from leaving.

Selina spoke casually, "But, President Taylor, Mrs. Carter has already purchased that 3.88-million-dollar couple’s watch. Why not let her keep it? After all, if she’s willing to pay, why not make the sale? Don’t you agree?"

President Taylor wasn’t sure where this was headed but nodded hurriedly. "Yes, yes, I’ll process the paynt for Mrs. Carter right away."

With a beep, Jillian’s card was charged 3.88 million. The couple’s watch, engraved with the words "One lifeti, one love, one person only," was handed to Natalia.

Selina’s faint smile deepened. "Sister, I wish you and the man I didn’t want a lifeti of love and harmony. I won’t see you off."

Natalia felt the watch in her hands grow unbearably heavy, as if mocking her foolishness.

Not only had Selina stolen the spotlight, but they had been humiliated, blacklisted, and ultimately ridiculed by her parting words.

From now on, anyone who saw those watches would rember this day!

Realizing this, Jillian fud with rage, trembling with fury at the idea that she had just spent 3.88 million on a pair of laughingstocks.

Gritting her teeth, Jillian snapped, "Fine, we’ll leave! But Selina, let tell you sothing—Mr. Reid has invited Natalia to Sapphire Valley Villa as a guest. Soon, Natalia will be among his inner circle!"

"When that happens, crossing Natalia will an crossing Mr. Reid himself. Just you wait!"

Selina watched them walk away, blinking thoughtfully.

Logan invited Natalia to Sapphire Valley Villa?

She had heard that Grandpa Carter was becoming increasingly dissatisfied with Ryan and that Ryan was desperately seeking a new benefactor.

Was that what this was about?

"Miss Clark, here is your couple’s watch." President Taylor handed over the carefully wrapped box, his expression hesitant. "Pardon , but may I ask... is your platinum card... is it the one belonging to Mr. Logan, or...?"

Selina raised an eyebrow. Only two such platinum cards existed globally: hers and Logan’s.

She replied coolly, "It was personally gifted to by your boss five years ago. I trust President Taylor will keep my possession of the platinum card confidential."

President Taylor’s eyes widened in shock, and he almost dropped to his knees.

So Selina was *that* person from five years ago!

Of course, it made sense to keep this secret. The truth was too shocking—who would have guessed that the abandoned Clark Family heiress had such powerful connections?

Half an hour later, Selina returned to Sapphire Valley Villa.

In the study, Jack was excitedly reporting, "Sir! Madam really did go out to buy a couple’s watch! I made inquiries, and the watch is stunning—you’re going to love it!"

Logan’s hand paused mid-page.

Jack continued with a hint of confusion, "But I also heard Madam used a platinum card. Sir, did you lend her yours?"

Platinum card...? Logan’s eyes narrowed sharply.

No, his platinum card was still in his possession. Then whose platinum card had Selina used?

At that mont, Selina burst into the room, jogging excitedly.

"Logan, I got you a gift!"
