Married First, Loved Later : A Flash Marriage with My Ex's 'Uncle' Chapter 60: Annoy Them on Purpose!
Vivian instantly exploded like a stick of dynamite, shouting, "Stop playing the victim! Selina, I’m going to kill you!"
Selina sidestepped smoothly, and Vivian missed, stumbling forward.
She crashed loudly into the counter, clutching her side as she struggled to stand upright, her face twisted in pain. "One day, I’ll make sure you’re finished... Ahhh!"
The store manager and other custors turned to look, disgusted.
"Wow, this mistress is so shaless. Did I hear that guy call her Perry Miss? Is she really part of the Perry family?"
"Imagine, a Perry family heiress causing this kind of scene, openly chasing a married man. She has no sha."
Vivian’s face flushed red, then turned pale, as she noticed the judgntal stares. Furious, she scread at them, "What do you people think you are?! I am the eldest daughter of the Perry family! Shut up, all of you! Shut up!"
Then she barked at her bodyguards, "Idiots! What are you standing around for? Help up!"
anwhile, Selina quietly took Logan’s hand and led him out of the crowd, keeping a low profile as if nothing had happened.
Logan’s gaze lingered on the piano. "Are you planning to learn that piece, Distant Hocoming?"
Selina nodded. "Of course! But there’s no piano at Sapphire Valley Villa, so I decided to buy one myself. This one has a beautiful tone."
Logan narrowed his eyes, a playful tone creeping into his voice. "That’s quite an ambitious choice. Distant Hocoming is an exceptionally difficult piece. Many musicians have attempted it since it debuted, but few have succeeded. Selina, are you sure you’re up for it?"
Selina puffed out her cheeks, clearly feeling underestimated. "Are you doubting ? I studied it all night yesterday and already mastered it. I’ll play it for you when we get ho."
Logan chuckled lightly.
Interesting—just a few probing words revealed the truth.
It seed Selina had a rare talent for music. Learning Distant Hocoming, a notoriously challenging composition, without even having a piano? That was no small feat.
Paired with the innate elegance in her deanor, it was becoming clear that Selina’s background held more secrets than the surface suggested.
Could she be connected to the hacker he was tracking? What had really happened during her years in exile?
...
Back at Sapphire Valley Villa, Selina eagerly flipped open the Distant Hocoming sheet music, her fingers dancing across the keys.
Logan stood at a slight distance, his eyes glinting thoughtfully as he listened, before closing them briefly.
Butler Miller’s expression changed as the lody filled the room. "Mr. Logan, isn’t that...?"
Logan’s voice was asured, though his tone carried significance. "Grandma said she was the rightful recipient and gave her the sheet music. It’s quite sothing—she can actually play Distant Hocoming."
Miller shook his head in amazent. "If the eldest lady were still with us, she’d be thrilled. After all these years, soone has finally managed to perform Distant Hocoming."
The absence of a piano in the entire Sapphire Valley Villa was a testant to the Perry family’s wounds, a secret tied to the loss of their eldest daughter.
Miller sighed, as if struck by a realization. "Perhaps, madam truly can bring about a new Chapter for us."
When the final note lingered in the air, Selina turned around, her eyes sparkling with joy. "So? What do you think? It’s incredible, isn’t it? I’ve never encountered a composition so intricate!"
Logan’s lips curved into a small smile. "Impressive. It seems Mrs. Reid is in a very good mood lately."
"Of course! I got a piano, a beautiful sheet of music, and no one from the Clark family has been bothering ."
Selina ran her fingers along the sheet music with a look of deep affection—it was clear how much music ant to her.
Logan’s gaze softened as he was about to say sothing—
But then, Selina’s phone rang.
She glanced at the caller ID. Seeing the na "Jas," her expression imdiately darkened.
But after a mont, she seed to think better of it. A cold smirk crept across her lips, and she answered with a lazy drawl.
Jas instinctively began the call with a scolding: "Why are you taking so long to answer the phone? Do you even rember I’m your father?"
The man on the other end sounded irritated as he barked, "Get back ho right now! Living outside all the ti—what kind of behavior is that?"
Selina raised an eyebrow, her tone laced with mockery. "I’ve been kicked out of the family for ten years. Isn’t it a bit late to say sothing like that now?"
Jas nearly choked on his own frustration but managed to suppress his anger, rembering Clark Family’s current predicant.
"Selina, we’re still father and daughter. I misses you. About last ti—Noah misunderstood your Aunt Bryant and Natalia. I was thinking, why don’t you invite Noah over to the house for a visit?"
Oh... So Clark Family was now struggling under Noah’s pressure and looking for her help.
Selina’s lips curled into an amused smile. "Sure, Dad. Since you’re asking so earnestly, I’ll bring Noah ho with for a visit."
As she hung up, Logan narrowed his eyes slightly. "You plans to bring Noah to Clark Family?"
Selina shrugged innocently. "Of course. I didn’t originally plan to trouble the Clark Family, but they insisted I co back. If they end up infuriated by , I suppose they can’t bla for that, right?"
Logan chuckled softly, nodding with a gentle expression. "If Clark Family brings this upon themselves, naturally, they can’t bla you. If sothing like this happens again, I can accompany you next ti."
Selina missed the undertone of his words and waved dismissively. "No need, no need. For sothing as trivial as Clark Family, I don’t need you to get involved."
Logan: "..."
Jack couldn’t bear to watch, sighing inwardly. How childish. Sir, Noah’s going to help Mrs. Reid settle the score, not actually have tea at Clark Family’s house. Do you really need to compete over this?
...
Two days later – Clark Family.
After arranging everything with Noah, Selina entered the Clark Family villa without hesitation.
The servants and butlers treated her as if she were invisible, but Selina didn’t mind and casually took a seat.
"Selina?! What are you doing here?"
Katie, descending the staircase, spotted Selina lounging on the sofa. Her face turned red with rage as she stord over.
"You little brat! After all the damage you’ve done to Clark Family, how dare you show up here? Get out! Leave now!"
Selina looked up at her calmly. "Mrs. Bryant, this villa belonged to my mother. It doesn’t seem like you have the authority to kick out."
Katie scread like a madwoman. "Your mother is dead! She’s a corpse—what is she compared to ? I’m the lady of this house! I said leave—don’t you understand?!"
The last incident had left Katie humiliated. After being detained at the police station for a day and a night, it was only thanks to Grandpa Clark that she was released. He had slapped her hard across the face, furious that Natalia’s invitation to Carter Family’s banquet was rescinded because of her behavior.
And all of it was Selina’s fault.
So when Katie saw Selina return, all rationality went out the window. She didn’t even bother to pretend anymore and unleashed her fury.
"Well, alright then."
To Katie’s surprise, Selina didn’t argue. She calmly set down the piece of fruit she was eating, stood up, and leisurely headed toward the door.
"If I’m not welco, I’ll leave," she said lightly, walking away without a backward glance.
Katie’s chest swelled with triumph, but as she turned around, she was t with Jas’s thunderous expression.
"Where’s Selina?!"
Katie flinched, her eyes darting nervously. "Th-that brat left..."
"Idiot!" Jas roared, too angry to waste ti berating her. He hurried to the courtyard, shouting after Selina, "Selina! Wait!"
Selina blinked, feigning surprise. "Oh, Dad, you’re here. What a sha—I’ve already been kicked out by Mrs. Bryant. I’ll bring Noah to visit so other ti..."
