The board mbers fell silent, and even the reporters didn’t dare to breathe too loudly.

What Logan said... made too much sense.

Whether or not Logan had cheated was still up for debate, but even if he had, the one person with the least right to lecture him about it was Alia.

Alia herself was the other woman. Daniel was the classic cheating scumbag who wanted to have it all, and they had the audacity to talk about how shaless cheating was?

Alia froze for a second, realizing Logan had steered her right into a trap. She took a deep breath.

"Fine, maybe I don’t have the right to say this—but Selina and Chairman Morris do, don’t they? Morris Family is here today, why don’t we let them speak?"

As soon as she finished, the conference room doors swung open.

Reporters turned their heads to see Joe and Hannah walking in—with "Selina" between them.

Joe’s face was full of anger.

"Logan, let’s clear this up right here and now. This also concerns Reid Group’s reputation. The board won’t object to that, right?"

Director Cole furrowed his brow, about to speak, but stopped when he saw Jack shake his head.

Logan curved his lips in a calm smile.

"Sure."

"Good," Joe snapped, barely keeping his temper in check. "Logan, I won’t make things hard for you. Just explain this to —what’s this about you cheating?!"

Logan didn’t answer the question. Instead, he asked in return,

"I’d like to ask Selina—when did I cheat? And with whom did I supposedly cheat?"

The impostor’s scalp prickled.

Others might not catch the nuance, but she understood perfectly well.

Logan knew she wasn’t Selina. He knew Sophia was the real Selina. And if Logan and Sophia were close—that wasn’t "cheating" at all. Sophia was his wife. How could there be "infidelity" in that?

But—but...

The impostor clenched her teeth. No. She couldn’t show fear.

She lifted her chin, trying to look like a fragile but unyielding little white flower.

"Logan, the reason I ca here today isn’t to scold you for cheating, nor to demand you ’take responsibility.’ I... I ca here to report you!"

Logan didn’t get angry. He rely raised an eyebrow.

"Oh? Report for what?"

"For... for..."

Everyone stared at her.

The impostor closed her eyes for a second, then forced herself to sound righteous and resolute.

"For murder and corruption!"

Logan’s gaze turned cold in an instant.

The room froze.

People thought they’d misheard.

Wait—did Mrs. Reid just say she was reporting Mr. Reid... for murder and corruption?

How was that even possible?!

Reporters exchanged looks, wide-eyed. They hadn’t expected the board to back Logan, only for his own wife to accuse him of murder.

The impostor bit her lip, her face a mask of pained struggle.

"Logan, my conscience just couldn’t take it anymore. We can’t keep covering this up—if soone’s been killed, then the killer has to pay! I just... I just think you don’t deserve this position. You’re unfit for it!"

Her voice shook, and fear flickered in it. She knew she was lying, but she had no way out.

"Logan... there are so many things others don’t know. But... but I do."

She paused dramatically, then spoke again.

"I don’t know if everyone rembers... three years ago, when Reid Group was developing the southern business district... two workers died on-site..."

A glint of ice and bloodlust flashed in Logan’s eyes.

The people in the room froze. They knew that incident. But hadn’t it already been resolved?

HZ Group—the supplier of the building materials—had been cutting corners and pocketing profits. Their materials were substandard, their scaffolding unstable, and they demanded construction start anyway.

The result: two workers fell to their deaths.

After that, Logan did sothing he rarely did—he took an uncompromising stance. He terminated Reid Group’s cooperation with HZ Group, demanded the company pay massive compensation to the workers’ families, and under Logan’s relentless pressure, HZ Group crumbled into ruin.

Because of those deaths, the southern business district project was delayed. Reid Group suffered massive losses.

But Logan hadn’t blad anyone for the delay.

He didn’t care about the titable.

He only cared that evil got the punishnt it deserved.

It had been three years since that incident—so why did Mrs. Reid’s words sound like... there was a twist to the story?

Cold sweat beaded on the impostor’s forehead.

"Back then, everyone said those two workers died because of HZ Group. But—but the truth is, it was because of Logan... Logan’s carelessness killed them!"

The entire room erupted into shocked murmurs.

The impostor began to cry, her voice trembling.

"Logan got drunk once and brought it up by accident. He said the scaffolding hadn’t even been fully set up, that construction wasn’t supposed to start yet—but he was the one who pushed those two workers to begin early. He even said... he even said that if HZ Group hadn’t taken the bla, the one going to prison would have been him!"

"And afterward, the reason Logan went after HZ Group wasn’t to avenge those two workers. No—he was just afraid HZ Group might spill his secret."

"I really do love Logan, but I couldn’t stand by and watch the truth get buried. People deserve to know the truth. That’s why I..."

Joe’s face tightened with pained sympathy.

"Selina, don’t cry. Just take your ti and tell them."

The impostor lowered her head, feigning righteous sorrow.

"I’m the person closest to Logan. Of course I know things even you board mbers don’t. Logan caused deaths and felt no remorse—he is not fit to be the chairman of Reid Group!"

When her words fell, the room went dead silent.

Owen was the first to spring up, practically vibrating with excitent.

"You all heard her! Logan isn’t fit! Think about it—Selina always defended Logan before. If even she’s standing up to expose him, that ans Logan must be in the wrong! Do you really want a man like that as chairman? Who knows how many more lives he might have on his hands?"

Alia’s lips curved into a triumphant smile at last.

"Logan, what else do you have to say? This wouldn’t have blown up so badly if you hadn’t been so greedy. This is the ss you made—no one else to bla."

For the first ti, the smile vanished from Logan’s face.

But it wasn’t guilt. It wasn’t fear.

It was anger.

Up until now, he had faced Reid Family, Alia, even this impostor with cool indifference. He didn’t care about their little sches—they couldn’t touch his goals.

To Logan, they were nothing but noisy, jumping clowns.

But this—dragging two innocent dead workers into their lies—was sothing he would not tolerate.

Those n had died because of HZ Group’s corruption. After three long years, their families had finally found so peace. And now Alia and the impostor were desecrating their mory, using them for leverage.

Logan would not forgive that.

Alia t Logan’s deep, icy stare and, instinctively, her pupils shrank. She stepped back half a step, startled.

"Wh-what are you looking at like that for? It’s your fault! Explain yourself!"

Logan’s gaze grew colder and colder.

"You’re saying I killed those two workers. Where’s your evidence?"

The impostor puffed herself up, bluffing.

"You told when you were drunk! Even if I don’t have evidence, it’s the truth!"

Logan’s cold laugh cut the room like a blade.

"Why?"

"Because I’m your Mrs. Reid," the impostor shot back, voice rising. "I’m the one closest to you—I wouldn’t accuse you unless I couldn’t stand it anymore!"

The impostor’s words might have sounded convincing—if they were coming from the real Mrs. Reid.

But from a fake? From a woman weaving lies out of thin air?

Anyone could do that.
