Joe’s mind went completely blank, buzzing in confusion.

What did they an by "mistaking his own daughter"? What nonsense were they spouting?

But no one around him cared what Joe thought. One after another, people whipped out their phones to check the gossip online.

"Holy crap!"

"Wow, this is insane!"

"Damn, Luke was right—Joe really doesn’t use his brain..."

"How does soone with that IQ end up running the Morris Family?"

So of the younger heirs and heiresses were so shocked they started speaking louder and louder—until their elders had to hush them. But even the few keywords they blurted out were enough to make everyone freeze.

Curiosity exploded. More and more people couldn’t resist and started opening Twitter.

Within a minute, the whole room fell silent, eyes darting between one another in disbelief.

Selina blinked. "Logan, what did you do?"

Logan’s expression didn’t change. "Just wanted to give Chairman Morris a little surprise. So, Chairman—was it surprising enough?"

Joe’s face turned beet red with rage. He had no idea what had happened.

All he’d picked up was that people were mocking him for "mistaking" his own daughter. Mistaking her? Ridiculous!

"Logan, I don’t know what fake evidence you forged, but don’t think you can drive a wedge between and Angelica—"

"Chairman Morris, maybe... maybe you should check online first?" a business partner suddenly cut in.

He didn’t want to speak up, but if Joe kept going, it’d be too humiliating to watch.

Joe was annoyed at the interruption and turned around, ready to lash out—only to realize it was a business associate. For the sake of maintaining that relationship, he restrained himself and frowned. "Fine. I’ll take a look."

"Dad, no!" Angelica suddenly lunged at him.

She already knew what Logan had done. Damn it! Were they really going to destroy her today?

What else could the online buzz be? It had to be evidence proving she wasn’t Joe’s biological daughter!

Joe couldn’t see it—at least not yet. Once they got back to the Morris estate, Grandma Morris would figure out a way to fix this!

Angelica burst into tears, trembling all over.

"Dad... Don’t you see what Selina’s trying to do? She just wants gone... Everything online is fake. They just want you to give up on . Have you forgotten what you promised Mom? Please, I’m begging you..."

Joe’s heart softened instantly.

Yes... how could he not believe in Angelica?

"There’s nothing worth looking at. Selina, Logan—you’d better stop with these tricks!"

Joe helped Angelica to her feet and started to leave—only to be stopped again by murmuring voices from the crowd.

"Chairman Morris, you really should take a look. Mr. Reid’s evidence is solid—no way it’s forged."

"Chairman Morris... after all this ti, you still can’t see what kind of person Angelica is? If she could fake being Mr. Reid’s savior, why couldn’t she fake being your daughter too?"

Soone whispered under their breath, "Jesus... look at Joe’s face. Is he still in denial? How can soone be this stupid, stubborn, and absolutely brainless?"

"She cries a little and he just believes her. anwhile, the real daughter gets treated like trash. A father like that isn’t worth recognizing."

Joe’s face turned from red to darker and darker shades, until it was black with fury.

"Enough! You don’t get to judge Angelica. No matter what, she’s my daughter!"

He stord forward. "Angelica, we’re leaving—"

"Everyone, do a favor and take a look at the na on this paternity test," Luke’s voice cut in with biting sarcasm.

"Little ol’ didn’t finish elentary school—I can’t read too well."

Luke feigned cluelessness and confusion as he held up his phone.

"If Angelica is really Chairman Morris’s daughter... then how co this paternity report says she’s a 100% genetic match with Katie and Jas? Anyone care to explain that?"

Joe’s eyes flew wide open, as if he’d misheard.

The room went dead silent for three full seconds before Alice calmly chid in, "You heard right, Young Master Luke. According to the test, Angelica’s biological father is Jas, and her biological mother is Katie."

Soone else added, with mock innocence, "Huh, how odd. Can soone have multiple biological parents?"

"Yeah, I an, how could both Jas and Katie be Angelica’s biological parents, and so could Chairman Morris and Mrs. Morris? Did four people make a baby together?"

Joe froze mid-step. He whipped around, eyes bulging in disbelief. "What?!"

Angelica panicked, her voice trembling with desperation. "Dad, don’t listen to them! They’ve all been bought off by Selina! They’re lying! These so-called paternity tests—anyone with money can fake one! Dad, you can’t believe them. I’m your daughter... I am! Please!"

Luke nodded along with a smirk. "She’s right, Chairman Morris, you should go ho. Angelica has a point—paternity tests can totally be faked."

"Even if this one ca from DY Hospital, DE Hospital, BH Hospital, City HDY dical Center..."

Luke casually listed more than a dozen hospital nas before throwing in his punchline: "Sure, they all signed off on it together, but co on—Logan’s got connections everywhere. Bribing a asly dozen public and private hospitals? Child’s play! Obviously this test is fake!"

Pfft—

Laughter burst out across the room. People couldn’t hold it in anymore.

"What... What is this supposed to an?!" Joe turned back, shouting furiously. "Logan, what the hell is going on?!"

Soone tossed Joe a phone. On the screen was the very paternity report they’d all been talking about.

Joe glanced down—and the bold letters hit him like a truck.

—Angelica is the biological daughter of Katie.

—Angelica is the biological daughter of Jas.

—Selina shares no biological relation with Jas.

Joe’s eyes nearly popped out of his head. "Logan, explain this! Now!"

Logan replied coolly, "Chairman Morris—can’t you read?"

"No—no..." Joe could read, of course. He just couldn’t believe it. What did they an Jas was Angelica’s father? Then what about him? He was supposed to be her father!

"Chairman Morris, you never believe it when people say you’re a fool... but honestly, out of everyone in the Morris Family—"

Logan paused, then gave him a mocking smile.

"—you were probably the only one who didn’t know."

"Wha—"

Angelica scread and rushed forward. "No! Dad, don’t believe him! It’s not true!"

This identity—being the Morris Family’s daughter—was all she had left. She couldn’t lose it!

But Logan had no patience for her theatrics. He sneered and continued coldly, "Chairman Morris, do you know why Grandma Morris always hated Victoria, but still agreed to recognize Angelica as her granddaughter?"

"No—stop—don’t say it..."

Logan stated, clear and deliberate: "Because Grandma Morris knew Angelica had absolutely nothing to do with Victoria."

"Don’t—!"

Logan pressed on: "Ever wonder why Kyle didn’t attend today’s engagent party? He’s her older brother—why would he skip it?"

"I said shut up!"

"Because Kyle’s known for a long ti that Angelica isn’t his sister. That’s why he refused to co. In fact... didn’t he already try to talk to you about this?"
