Jaxon asked, "Sir, are you planning to have Madam formally acknowledged by the Morris family?"

Logan let out a mocking laugh. "Joe? He’s not worthy."

But the debts owed by Grandma Morris and Angelica—those had to be settled.

"Sir, I found what you asked to look into," Jaxon reported, moving to another topic.

"Four years ago, Angelica did visit the eastern suburbs of City H. There are photos, and based on the tiline, it’s very likely she ran into you there."

"However... we also picked up signs of soone else. It seems Angelica was actually following that person. Apologies, sir—I wasn’t able to find out more."

The trail stopped there. But from every angle, Angelica still looked like the person who had saved Logan’s life. How could she not be?

Logan narrowed his eyes. Soone else’s presence...? Who was the other person?

...

Selina returned to her room and made a call. A few minutes later, a trending hashtag popped up—right at the top of the hot search list.

Thanks to Luke’s handiwork, the whole internet now knew: how Angelica had faked a pregnancy, how she’d tried to latch onto power, and how she’d set Selina up—all of it was laid bare.

Angelica’s carefully curated image collapsed instantly. Even with the Morris Family trying to control the narrative, her reputation was beyond saving.

Once everything was handled, Selina was about to go to sleep—until her phone rang. It was Kyle.

She didn’t even think. She hung up and blocked him.

Then the Morris family’s landline called. Selina frowned, irritated. What was wrong with these people?

Kyle, refusing to give up, called from several different numbers. Selina blocked them all. She ended up blacklisting every contact associated with the Morris Family.

But her phone rang again.

"...!" Are you kidding ?

She picked up with a cold laugh. "Kyle, do you ever stop? It’s the middle of the night. What, you calling to pretend you care? Better watch yourself—if your dear sister finds out, Angelica—"

"Selina."

A cool, calm voice cut her off.

Selina froze. "..." Wait—what? That was Aiden’s voice!

Aiden narrowed his eyes. "Did Kyle piss you off?"

"Of course he did," Selina snapped. "What, does the Morris Family think it’s so kind of prize? Like just because they told about my birth, I’m supposed to throw myself at them?"

She didn’t give a damn about the Morris Family. But blood ties were facts—ignoring them didn’t make them disappear.

Still, Kyle knew the truth and said nothing. Let Angelica slander her. Then had the nerve to call pretending to comfort her? Disgusting.

Aiden nodded. "Good. That’s exactly how you should see it."

Selina had people she chose to be family. Sotis blood didn’t an a thing. She and Aiden had grown up under the care of the Ghost Doctor—he wasn’t blood, but he was more than family.

Unfortunately, four years ago, Ghost Doctor had died... to save Selina.

Aiden’s gaze darkened. He would make Angelica pay in blood—for new grudges and old ones alike.

Four years ago, Angelica had hired an assassin. Ghost Doctor died protecting Selina. Selina herself had been seriously injured and bedridden for months. Angelica’s hands were soaked in their blood. This debt... would be paid in full.

But—Selina didn’t rember. She only recalled being chased by Angelica. The truth about Ghost Doctor’s death was missing from her mind.

Aiden knew it was selective amnesia. If she rembered everything, it might break her. So for years, no one dared bring it up—not even once.

Also... Logan looked strangely familiar. But Aiden couldn’t figure out why.

...

After hanging up, Selina went upstairs to shower. It was nearly midnight by the ti she finished.

Yawning from exhaustion, she was about to head to bed when soone knocked on the villa’s front door.

Selina raised a brow. Who the hell was knocking on Sapphire Valley Villa’s door in the middle of the night?

She checked the monitor—and saw Kyle.

Unbelievable. He just won’t quit.

"Selina, I know you’re in there. Just hear out. Take down the trending topic, okay? Things have gotten too ugly—this isn’t going to end well for you."

Selina’s eyes darkened. "Wow, Young Master Morris really is a great brother. Ca all the way here in the middle of the night to beg to delete a trending post for your sister? Sorry to disappoint you—but that’s not happening."

Kyle looked conflicted, hesitating. "Selina... Logan owes Angelica his life. He’s not going to completely cut ties with her. In the end, you’ll be the only one left. Going up against Morris Group won’t end well—I’m telling you this for your own good."

Selina’s heart went cold. "Is that so? Then what exactly does the Morris Group plan to do to ?"

"Dad, he—"

"Kyle, let’s not beat around the bush."

Selina had no interest in putting on a fake brother-sister drama. "You know I have one major card to play—if I expose it, Joe won’t dare lay a finger on ."

That card was her identity—her birthright.

She didn’t expect that the mont those words left her mouth, Kyle would freeze, his face draining of color. He staggered back slightly. "You... you know... you know the truth..."

Selina let out a cold laugh. "That’s right. I know. So now would you kindly get the hell out? My dear big brother."

She moved to close the door, but Kyle snapped out of it and blocked it with his hand. "Selina, please listen to ! I know you’re my biological sister—I really do care about you! But... but Angelica’s already in Morris Group. They’ve made her identity public!"

"If they go back on that now... it would be a massive embarrassnt. Morris Group can’t afford that kind of sha. Selina, it’s not that I don’t want to bring you ho. Just... be good, stop going against Angelica. I’ll talk to Dad and have him recognize you as our adopted daughter. You can still be part of the Morris Family. The four of us can live peacefully together..."

Selina didn’t know what kind of fantasy Kyle was living in. With a loud slam, she shut the door in his face.

"If you’re gonna lose your mind in the middle of the night, go do it sowhere else. Scram!"

Adopted daughter? She didn’t even care about being their real daughter. What the hell did she do in her past life to end up as Joe’s daughter in this one?

Kyle stood outside, stunned. Selina knew everything... wasn’t she supposed to be desperate to climb back into the Morris Family’s favor? Wasn’t she supposed to lower herself to get back in? This was City H’s number one elite family!

How could she... how could she just shut him out like this? Everything he’d done, it was all for the Morris Family. She carried the Morris blood—why didn’t she understand?

Selina saw him still loitering outside the gate and imdiately called security to have him dragged off.

He was ruining her sleep.

"I already told security—no one from the Morris Family is allowed to step foot inside Sapphire Valley Villa ever again,"

Logan’s voice ca from behind her. He draped a coat over her shoulders. "And Kyle got one thing wrong."

Selina raised a brow. "Which part?"

"He said I owe Angelica my life, so I won’t turn against her."

Logan’s tone was flat. "She did save . But I don’t owe her a damn thing."

...Huh? Selina blinked, wide-eyed.
