Selina instinctively looked up.

Logan’s gaze was steady and gentle as he asked again, "The winning gown from the last design competition—you were the real designer, weren’t you?"

"The design techniques used in that dress are far beyond Angelica’s level. Every detail reflects your style and signature."

It felt like Selina’s throat had been clamped shut. A wave of bitterness stung her nose.

Everyone was cheering for Angelica, praising her for being a young prodigy, applauding her for creating a masterpiece at such a young age.

But only Logan asked the real question: Was this the work that was stolen from you?

Two years ago, Selina had made it to the finals. Her design draft was stolen, and Angelica used it to bribe the judges and walk away with first place.

Not only did Angelica and the judge, Ellis, plagiarize her work—they even turned the tables on her. They accused her of seducing a judge and stripped her of her spot in the competition.

Selina lifted her head and looked toward the stage, at Angelica’s fake, polished smile.

Angelica stood next to the gown, proudly addressing the audience.

"As previous champion, I wish everyone the best of luck in this year’s competition."

People in the audience were full of admiration.

"Miss Clark won the championship at just twenty—she’s got such a bright future."

"I heard design schools both at ho and abroad have already included her gown in their curriculum. Miss Angelica is clearly a rising star in the fashion world."

Kyle bead with pride.

"Even though Angelica didn’t grow up in the Morris Family, she’s still just as outstanding."

Joe, eyes shining with pride, added, "Of course. She’s my daughter—of course she’s the best."

As the crowd admired and celebrated Angelica, and as her father and brother basked in her glory, no one knew the truth—All of Angelica’s awards, all of her fa, she stole from Selena...

Selina’s hands curled into tight fists.

Logan’s voice was low and steady.

"Mrs. Reid, do you want to take back what’s rightfully yours?"

"Of course I do," she said. "But now’s not the ti. I’ve waited two years—I can wait a little longer."

What Angelica had stolen wasn’t just a design draft or a title.

Letting her return it so easily would be far too kind.

Selina didn’t just want revenge. She wanted to use Angelica to tear down the entire corrupt Clark Family.

Angelica finished speaking and gracefully walked offstage, holding up her dress.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, Daddy," she said, standing beside Joe.

Joe looked at his accomplished daughter, filled with joy.

"Angelica, I could wait a lifeti for you. When you won the championship, I hadn’t found you yet—we should’ve thrown you a proper celebration. How about one now?"

Angelica’s cheeks flushed as she lowered her head modestly.

"That would be too much. Let’s wait until I win this year, then celebrate."

Kyle smiled.

"Then I’ll congratulate you in advance!"

A man nearby chid in flatteringly.

"With Angelica’s skills, she’s way ahead of the other contestants. Winning twice in a row won’t be a problem."

Angelica giggled shyly.

"Co on—the competition hasn’t even started yet. If I’m already the winner, people might think I bribed the judges."

"Oh, right—Dad, Kyle, this is Mr. Ellis Lee. He’s one of the organizers of this event and also a judge for the design competition."

She introduced them both with a glowing smile.

"Mr. Lee is a highly respected figure in the design world. A lot of contestants admire him."

Then she turned to Ellis, deliberately slowing her speech, almost like she wanted to make sure everyone around her heard.

"Mr. Lee, this is my father and my brother. I also have a younger sister who’s here tonight. I’ll introduce you later. Her na is Selina..."

Selina raised an eyebrow slightly. Angelica was being "kind enough" to introduce her?

Then she saw who was standing beside her—Ellis. And it all made sense.

Sure enough, Ellis’s expression suddenly turned condescending.

"Selina? What, she’s part of the Morris Family now?"

Angelica let out a helpless sigh.

"Selina is... my sister."

Before the Morris father and son could react, Ellis stepped back two full paces with a look of disgust.

"Who would’ve thought the prestigious Morris Family would associate with soone like her? Angelica, how many tis have I told you to stay away from her? But you wouldn’t listen! And now that Selina’s part of the Morris Family too, what else can I say? What’s the point of even holding this competition?"

Logan’s eyes darkened. He lowered his voice.

"Mrs. Reid, this Judge Lee—he’s the one who worked with Angelica to steal your design?"

Selina gave a slow smile.

Yeah. The sa Judge Ellis that people called fair, unshakable, and unimpressed by power or flattery—he helped Angelica steal her design.

Later, to avoid getting caught, Ellis accused her of seducing him and forced her to withdraw from the competition.

He went on to thrive in the industry, still sitting high and mighty on the judging panel.

And Selina? She was dragged through the mud.

A flash of cold fury passed through Logan’s eyes.

"Mrs. Reid, want to take him down for you?"

"No need," Selina said with layered aning. "The higher he stands, the harder he’ll fall. His end is coming soon."

Over on the other side, Ellis made a move to leave, but Joe frowned and stopped him.

"Mr. Lee, Selina has no connection to the Morris Family. What exactly did you an by what you just said?"

Ellis looked skeptical.

"Really?"

Angelica had no choice but to step up and explain. She shook her head in feigned exasperation.

"It’s true. Selina has no ties to the Morris Family at all. Dad doesn’t even know what she’s been involved in."

"Good." Ellis’s tone imdiately softened.

"It’s just—Selina’s thods are so low I was worried the Morris Family might be protecting her. As long as Chairman Morris doesn’t hold it against , I’ll let it go."

Joe’s expression remained tense. With Angelica competing, he couldn’t afford any drama.

He asked seriously, "You said if Selina were part of our family, the competition wouldn’t an anything. What did you an by that?"

Ellis sighed.

"It’s an ugly story. Angelica chose not to make a fuss back then, which is the only reason Selina even got a chance to enter this competition. Last ti, she entered too. But just before she was about to get eliminated—she stole Angelica’s design!"

"I caught her myself. And instead of showing remorse, she ca to my hotel room in the middle of the night—undressed—trying to seduce ! She was imdiately disqualified from the competition. It was Angelica who begged not to make it public. And now she has the nerve to co back and compete again?!"

Joe’s face turned stone-cold.

He hadn’t expected Selina to be so shaless.

Stealing designs? Nearly ruining Angelica’s shot at the championship?

And then trying to seduce a judge?

Angelica’s eyes welled up with tears. She shook her head, looking like she’d just swallowed heartbreak.

"Let it go. What’s done is done. Mr. Lee, please don’t say any more. I believe my sister has changed..."

"What?! Selina tried to seduce a judge at her last competition?!"

Just then, a shocked voice rang out nearby.

Several contestants had co over, hoping to greet Judge Ellis—only to overhear the bombshell of a scandal.

In an instant, outrage spread. One of the contestants glared in Selina’s direction.

"She tried to seduce a judge—how the hell is she even allowed to compete?!"
