Selina stared at the word [Here] on the screen, swallowing nervously, but she didn’t rush to reply.

She decided to ease into it, step-by-step:

[Senior Rowan, do you think n are just... impossible to figure out sotis?]

In his study, Logan let out a soft chuckle.

So she’s here to ask about relationship problems, huh?

[For example?]

Selina: [Uh... do you ever get mad at your wife?]

Logan couldn’t help but laugh again, his eyes full of amusent:

[Depends on the situation. We don’t really argue much. Why?]

Selina’s first thought: So Rowan really is married.

Her second thought: See, normal n don’t just get mad for no reason.

She typed out the whole story:

[...Just because I didn’t wait for him, he wants to make sleep in a separate room! What kind of husband does that?!]

Logan’s gaze darkened slightly as he read her ssage.

This little troublemaker... still so clueless.

What he cared about was never whether Mrs. Reid waited for him or not.

It was—

He glanced down at the ring on his finger.

It was about this—this symbol of belonging.

Most couples put rings on each other.

But his little troublemaker seed to have no real concept of that.

...Forget it.

She was his little troublemaker.

What was the point of holding it against her?

Logan sighed lightly.

He was just about to open the door and let her back in when a new notification popped up on Twitter.

A voice ssage.

Selina figured she couldn’t rely on Rowan alone—she needed to take action too.

Luke had once said: If you make a mistake, be the first to apologize. That way, even if you’re wrong, you’ll still win.

Selina thought that made a lot of sense.

So she opened Twitter, cleared her throat, and in a soft, syrupy voice recorded:

"Hubby~"

"I know I was wrong, please don’t be mad, okay? I can’t sleep without you. Can you really bear to let suffer all alone?"

In the study, Logan: "..."

The man’s Adam’s apple bobbed slightly.

He hadn’t expected Mrs. Reid to actually sweet-talk him.

It was so rare for her to act cute like this...

It would be cruel not to forgive her.

Logan sighed, realizing he really couldn’t be mad at her for long.

He was about to head over to the lady’s bedroom to bring her back when his phone buzzed again—another ssage to the Rowan account.

anwhile, Selina was lying on the bed, growing more and more frustrated.

Seriously?!

She’d apologized and even acted cute—and Logan still hadn’t replied?

Was he made of stone?!

She waited another five minutes, getting angrier by the second.

Thinking about the cringey way she had just acted made her face burn with embarrassnt.

Fuming, she grabbed her phone and angrily typed to Rowan:

[Logan still isn’t replying! Senior, why do you think that is?!]

Rowan (Logan): [Getting impatient?]

Selina poured her heart out:

[Not exactly... I know Logan’s busy, and I usually understand when he can’t reply quickly. But just now...]

Just now, I even acted all cute!!

Feeling a little awkward, Selina reworded it confidently:

[Anyway, I sent a ssage no man could possibly ignore, and he still didn’t reply! Senior, do you think maybe there’s sothing wrong with him? Like, maybe he’s under too much pressure lately and... you know... can’t perform? Otherwise, why would he get so mad over sothing so small? I even told him I can’t sleep without him, and he still didn’t respond! So heartless!]

Logan: "..."

Logan sat in silence for a full minute.

He took off his gold-rimd glasses, wiped them slowly, and then tapped to play Selina’s voice ssage again.

The corner of his mouth finally curved up into a faint smile.

Still using Rowan’s identity, he replied:

[You said you can’t sleep well? Really?]

Selina answered right away:

[Of course not. I sleep like a rock. I just needed an excuse.]

[Senior, what do you think I should do to get back into the master bedroom? Should I... seduce him? Would he fall for it?]

That was the only plan Selina could co up with.

People always said couples could fight at the head of the bed but make up at the foot.

Even though she wasn’t exactly... that bold yet, as long as she could stay in the master bedroom, everything else could be solved slowly!

Logan traced his finger lightly over the phone screen:

[Mhm. You can give it a try.]

That night, Selina took a long bath, slipped on her blue diamond wedding ring, and headed to the study to find Logan.

The man was wearing his gold-rimd glasses, sitting at his computer, focused on reviewing a contract.

Selina swallowed nervously, braced herself, then ran over with a soft little squeal, throwing herself straight into Logan’s lap.

"Hubby~"

She was only wearing a bathrobe, her skin glistening white with a hint of pink, and her eyes were slightly red from the steam.

Logan instinctively caught her by the shoulders.

Selina clearly felt him stiffen up.

Success! she cheered internally. I knew it—my charm is irresistible!

Logan’s gaze darkened as he stared at the computer screen.

He hadn’t expected Selina to pick this mont to "seduce" him into making up.

Problem was, he was in the middle of an online video conference—with the senior executives of Reid Group, no less.

And they all knew Selina was his wife.

But this look on her—fresh from a bath, clinging to him—...was definitely not sothing that should be broadcasted.

Logan’s Adam’s apple bobbed again.

He tried to discreetly shut the laptop.

"Selina, get up. Go downstairs first."

Selina’s shy, flirty expression froze into confusion: "...?"

Wait—what did he just say?

He told her to leave?!

She was sitting in his lap, looking like a dream, and Logan could still tell her—without a flicker of emotion—to get out of his arms?!

Grinding her teeth, Selina growled under her breath:

"You better think about this carefully!"

Logan calmly glanced at the laptop cara.

The executives on the other side of the screen looked like they were on the verge of a collective breakdown—red-faced, not daring to look, not daring to leave.

Logan gently covered Selina’s eyes with one hand.

"Mhm. Go downstairs."

There was no way he was letting anyone else see her like this.

Selina was completely stunned: "..."

She was right after all!

Logan’s bad temper and unpredictable moods lately... it’s because he can’t, isn’t it?!

When had it started?!

Last ti, he was perfectly fine!

Was he refusing to see a doctor out of pride?

Selina, desperate and frantic now, didn’t wait for him to shut off the video feed. She grabbed his hand tightly, eyes burning with urgency.

"Logan, let’s go see a doctor, okay? If sothing’s wrong, the sooner we treat it, the better! n’s health clinics are really advanced now! There’s nothing to be ashad of!"

Logan’s eyes stilled for a long mont, then he slowly turned to look at her—his gaze deep, sharp, and full of dangerous amusent.
