Logan’s voice remained calm as he asked, "You and your daughter have yet to answer for scheming against , and now you want to make this ’personal’ with Selina?"

A chill ran up Katie’s spine.

Logan’s tone remained indifferent. "I heard that Clark Group is short on funds. Natalia has occupied soone else’s rightful place for so many years—it’s ti she contributes to Clark Group, don’t you think?"

Before Selina could speak, Vice President Morris nodded with exaggerated approval.

"Mr. Reid is absolutely right. Over the years, everyone has seen how much the true Clark heiress has done for this family. Since the illegitimate daughter is incompetent, the least she can do is engage in a business marriage, right?"

"It wouldn’t be fair for the real eldest daughter to worry about Clark Family’s future while the illegitimate one enjoys a life of luxury without doing anything, don’t you all agree?"

Who would dare to oppose Logan?

The guests quickly nodded in agreent.

"Mr. Reid is right."

"Since Natalia and Mr. Perez have already been intimate, she should be the one to marry for the business alliance."

Katie sobbed uncontrollably, gasping between her words. "No, no, Mr. Reid! Natalia already has a fiancé. A woman can’t marry two n—you can’t do this, you just can’t..."

Logan raised an eyebrow, completely unbothered. "And yet, when Mrs. Bryant was forcing to ’take responsibility,’ there was no issue with a woman marrying two n."

Vice President Morris sneered and chid in. "Perhaps because Mr. Perez isn’t married yet, so Natalia didn’t think he was worth considering. Mr. Reid, you wouldn’t understand—so won just get addicted to being mistresses."

Selina leaned her chin on her hand, smiling. "Exactly. Just look at the two n Mrs. Bryant has picked out for Natalia—both stolen from . That’s not very nice, is it? How can we let my dear little sister carry the shaful title of ’mistress’?"

"But Mr. Perez is different. Sure, he’s a bit older, but he’s a responsible man. More importantly, he’s never been married. If Natalia marries him, she’ll finally be a legitimate wife."

Natalia snapped, screaming in rage. "Shut up! I’m not marrying him! Get lost!"

Selina raised an eyebrow, unfazed. "Why not? Do you only enjoy stealing other people’s husbands? Not interested in being a proper wife?"

The guests exchanged disgusted glances.

Like mother, like daughter. The daughter of a mistress is still just a mistress.

Natalia’s face twisted with fury and desperation. "I won’t do it! Mom, I won’t marry him!"

Katie’s heart ached for her daughter. She was both furious and panicked, her face turning red, her fingers trembling as she gasped for breath.

"Selina, I’m warning you—Natalia will never marry that useless old man! Give up already!"

Logan’s expression darkened instantly.

Just then, Mr. Perez, who had been sound asleep, groggily woke up—only to hear Katie’s words.

His face instantly soured. "Katie, do you even know how wild your daughter was under last night? And now you dare to look down on ?!"

Katie’s vision blurred from anger. "Shut up!"

Selina chuckled softly. "Ah, looks like Mr. Perez is finally awake. Perfect timing—let’s ask him directly. Mr. Perez, would you like to marry Natalia?"

Mr. Perez took one look at the situation, then at Logan’s ice-cold expression, and instantly realized what had happened.

He had co for Selina, yet the woman in his bed had turned out to be Natalia.

That could only an one thing—Natalia had tried and failed to seduce Logan, and her plan had been exposed!

His gaze t Logan’s, and a chill ran down his spine.

This was not a man he could afford to offend.

If Logan ever found out about the thoughts he’d once had toward Mrs. Reid...

A shudder passed through Mr. Perez’s entire body. In an instant, he made his decision.

Putting on a broad smile, he eagerly declared, "Of course! I’d be honored! Mr. Reid, I actually ca to Clark Family’s banquet specifically to propose to Natalia!"

"Natalia and I made a private promise long ago. Rest assured, Mr. Reid—I’ll marry her imdiately!"

"Mr. Perez!" Katie scread like a madwoman. "You’re lying!"

Mr. Perez scoffed, crossing his arms. "Lying? Katie, weren’t you the one who texted , inviting to the banquet and promising a ’special surprise’? I still have the ssages saved! Wasn’t that surprise supposed to be Natalia?"

Katie scread at the top of her lungs. "No! No! That ’surprise’ was supposed to be Selina!"

How could a beautiful, pure girl like Natalia be married off to Mr. Perez?

Only trash like Selina deserved to be treated like a bargaining chip, tossed around for business alliances!

Logan coldly watched the two hysterical won in front of him.

His gaze was dark and ruthless.

Was this it?

Selina had been bullied by a mistress’s illegitimate daughter, betrayed by everyone, and suffered endlessly—this was nothing compared to what they owed her.

"Since Mr. Perez is willing to marry Natalia, let’s call Mr. Clark over as well."

Logan’s tone was casual. "After all, a father should at least be aware that his daughter is getting married."

Katie’s eyes lit up with hope—yes, yes! Jas would definitely help Natalia!

As long as Jas stepped in and Natalia cried a little, even Mr. Reid wouldn’t be able to force this marriage through.

Logan surely wouldn’t force Jas to hand over his daughter, right?

Logan saw through Katie’s thoughts in an instant.

He was like a predator watching its prey’s final struggle—unhurried, patient, enjoying the slow demise.

The man leaned in slightly, his voice chilling.

"Mrs. Bryant, don’t fall apart just yet. This... is only the beginning."

Katie froze, disbelief washing over her.

Jas was coming.

What else could Logan possibly do?

Marriage or not—Jas had the final say.

He loved Natalia so much; he would never let this happen... right?

By the ti Jas arrived, he had already heard the full story. His legs trembled as he approached.

"Mr. Reid," Jas stamred, his knees nearly buckling. "I understand that Natalia and Katie were wrong, but you can’t bla Natalia for everything—she just... walked into the wrong room. And Katie, well, she’s just an overprotective mother, so her words may have been harsh. I’ll make sure she apologizes to Selina later..."

Jas hesitated before cautiously asking, "As for this business marriage...?"

Logan’s lips curled into a smile. "So, Mr. Clark isn’t willing?"

Jas kept his head down, cursing Selina in his heart.

That selfish girl!

She refused to accept her own business marriage, so she pushed her sister into the fire instead?

How did he end up with such a selfish daughter?

After all, wasn’t it the entire family’s dream for Natalia to replace Selina and marry into the Reid Family?

Why couldn’t Selina be more understanding?

Just like before—when she had graciously given up Ryan—why couldn’t she give up Logan as well?

But, of course, he couldn’t say that out loud.

Jas forced a smile, his tone ingratiating. "It’s not a matter of willingness, Mr. Reid. Natalia is a kind and innocent girl. She didn’t an to be with Mr. Perez... Surely, we can’t sacrifice her for the sake of a business deal."

Logan’s expression turned mocking. "Oh? I never took you for such a devoted father, Mr. Clark."

Jas imdiately picked up on the sarcasm in his tone. He fumbled, "O-Of course! Of course! I... I love Selina just as much!"

"Hah."

Logan let out a cold laugh.

No one expected him to scoff outright—his tone calm but cutting.

"And what if I told you... Natalia isn’t so innocent after all?"

The entire room fell into a heavy silence.

Everyone exchanged uncertain glances.

Even Selina rested her chin on her hand, intrigued.

Natalia’s sche to seduce Logan had likely been planned behind closed doors with Katie.

Even though everyone knew what had happened, there was no concrete evidence.

Katie could easily continue to insist it was all a misunderstanding.

But just then—

Jack bent down and respectfully picked up the small recording device that had fallen to the floor.

Logan’s voice remained nonchalant.

"Last night, after the banquet, I happened to pass by Natalia’s room... and accidentally recorded a few things."

Accidentally recorded a few things...?

Katie’s breath hitched.

A sudden, horrifying realization dawned on her.

She and Natalia had discussed their entire plan in that room last night.

And Logan had heard it all.

And recorded it.
