Zoey felt her mind explode with a deafening roar, her anger boiling over with no outlet. Enraged and humiliated, she scread, "You bitch! Say another word, and I’ll rip your mouth apart!"

Just as she finished her threat, a calculating gleam flickered in her eyes. The manager had ntioned that Celestial Feast refused to serve the Clark Family. Could this have sothing to do with Selina?

Pointing a trembling finger at Selina, she shrieked, "Selina! This is all because of you! Celestial Feast won’t serve the Clark Family because of sothing you did, you wretched bitch!"

The crowd turned their attention to Selina, their eyes filled with uncertainty and unease.

Selina raised an eyebrow and replied lazily, "Zoey, are you and your brother both lacking brain cells? I didn’t even step foot inside. How could this possibly be my fault?"

"It’s you!" Zoey’s face turned ashen with fury, her voice bordering on hysteria. "Why else would Celestial Feast blacklist the Clark Family? You’re nothing but an uncultured idiot from the countryside! You must’ve offended the owner! I’ll kill you!"

Blinded by rage, she raised her hand, intending to slap Selina.

Selina calmly stepped aside, and Zoey’s full-force slap hit nothing but air. Instead, she slamd into the pillar behind her with a loud thud, seeing stars as her head reeled. The room plunged into a deathly silence.

"You... you..." Zoey clutched her forehead, trembling with humiliation and rage. She was about to lunge at Selina again when an unexpected interruption stopped her.

"Miss Clark, are you alright?" The manager suddenly rushed over, his voice filled with concern. Before Zoey could react, he lifted his leg and delivered a swift, decisive kick to her shin, forcing her to stumble backward.

"What nonsense were you spouting just now?!" the manager barked, his face livid with fury. "The Clark Family being blacklisted has nothing to do with Miss Selina! Miss Selina is one of our most valued guests! And as for the person who offended our owner, do you want to spell it out? It’s Natalia!"

The room erupted in shocked silence. Everyone froze, their mouths agape, unable to process what they’d just heard.

What?! Selina was a valued guest at Celestial Feast, while Natalia was the one on the blacklist?!

The employees were stunned, their earlier mockery of Selina now echoing back as harsh slaps to their own faces.

Zoey’s face twisted in terror, her voice shaking as she stamred, "That’s impossible! She’s just a bumpkin—how could she possibly..."

"Enough!" The manager’s expression darkened further, his voice thunderous. "You dared insult our guest and even tried to assault her? I’ve already called the police. Anyone causing trouble at Celestial Feast will not get away lightly!"

He turned sharply, his anger dissipating as he faced Selina. Bowing slightly, he spoke with utmost respect. "Miss Selina, I deeply apologize for the unpleasantness you’ve endured today. To express our regret, Celestial Feast offers you a lifeti of complintary dining. Please feel free to order anything you wish—we are at your service."

Selina blinked, surprised at how neatly the situation had resolved itself. It seed Logan had planned everything down to the smallest detail. With the stage set so perfectly, she saw no reason to hold back.

She elegantly followed the manager toward the restaurant but stopped at the doorway. Turning back, she cast a faintly mocking glance at the crowd, her voice carrying a pointed edge. "Back when I worked at Aurora Crest Group for two years, I’d hoped we could part ways amicably. But you all insisted on pushing out."

The employees stood outside, their expressions a mix of embarrassnt, regret, and anger. Whispers of discontent quickly spread through the group.

"If only we’d stood up for Selina earlier. We’d still be inside, dining at Celestial Feast—and for free!"

"This is all Zoey and Natalia’s fault! They didn’t even secure the reservation and ended up humiliating all of us!"

"I knew these two were nothing but trouble. They can’t get anything right!"

...

Once inside the private room, the manager stayed close by, his posture deferential and his face plastered with a cautious smile. "Miss Clark, Mr. Reid specifically instructed that Celestial Feast would serve only you today."

Selina picked up the nu, ready to treat herself, but the mont her eyes landed on the prices, she nearly choked on her water. She stared at the nu in shock, her voice filled with genuine disbelief. "Is this how Celestial Feast sets its prices? Has no one ever reported you?"

She couldn’t help but wonder how such exorbitant prices hadn’t sparked a scandal.

The manager was about to explain, but as his eyes flicked toward the doorway, his expression stiffened. Bowing his head quickly, he dared not say another word.

Selina noticed his sudden change and raised an eyebrow. "What’s wrong? Is this so kind of trade secret I’m not allowed to know?"

A low, calm voice ca from behind her, smooth yet devoid of warmth. "If you want answers, Miss Clark, you can ask directly."

Startled, Selina turned to see Logan standing at the door. His posture was relaxed yet commanding, his deep-set eyes exuding an unmistakable pressure. The manager, looking as if he were in the presence of royalty, bowed deeply. "Mr. Reid, you’re here. I’ll excuse myself."

Logan gave him a faint nod, and once the manager left, his gaze shifted to Selina. His lips curved into a faint smile. "Miss Clark, do you have an issue with our pricing?"

Selina pointed at a specific item on the nu, her skepticism plain. "This Country F RS Estate red wine—ten grand a bottle is standard for the regular version, but you’re charging eight hundred eighty thousand for this one. That’s absurd. As far as I know, RS Estate only has one premium wine at that price, and it’s exclusive to one distributor."

Her certainty was evident. She had visited RS Estate herself and knew its operations like the back of her hand. Logan’s pricing looked like blatant extortion.

Logan raised an eyebrow, his expression tinged with amusent. "Miss Clark, if you know that wine is exclusive to one distributor, why are you so sure that distributor isn’t Celestial Feast?"

Selina froze, her breath hitching.

The RS Estate premium wine was reserved for a single partner due to a deep business relationship with the estate owner. If Logan had such access, it ant he had established significant ties in Country F long ago—ties she’d never heard of through the Carter Family’s enterprises, which had no known overseas ventures.

Her thoughts raced, but Logan interrupted her musings, his tone deliberate. "But I have a question for you, Miss Clark."

Selina’s wariness sharpened. "What question?"

"RS Estate wines aren’t popular dostically. Only soone who’s visited the estate would know about this specific bottle. But you grew up in the countryside, didn’t you? How do you know about it?"

His voice was calm, but his penetrating gaze seed to strip away her defenses.

Selina faltered, caught off guard. She instinctively reached for the glass of wine Logan had poured and downed it in one gulp. "I-I just... heard about it!"

"Heard about it?" Logan chuckled softly and lightly tapped her forehead with his finger. His tone was laced with intrigue. "Miss Clark, I should ntion that this premium wine tastes vastly different from regular red wine. For soone who’s never had it, the first sip usually triggers a strong reaction to its aroma. Yet you drank it in one go, completely unaffected."

Selina stiffened, her mind reeling, but before she could co up with a response, Logan delivered another pointed remark. "It seems the Clark Family underestimated you. A young lady supposedly banished to the countryside has visited RS Estate and even tasted their private reserve. Color surprised."

"uh-huh..." This ti, Selina really did choke, hastily turning away to hide her embarrassnt.

With just a few words, Logan had easily poked holes in her carefully maintained façade.

"W-Why are you asking this?" she stamred, scrambling to change the subject. "I did grow up in the countryside, but that doesn’t an I never went to RS Estate. Rumors are just rumors. Don’t take them seriously."

Logan observed her feigned nonchalance, a flicker of sothing inscrutable in his eyes. "You’re right. Rumors aren’t always reliable. Let’s eat."

Though his tone was casual, Selina couldn’t shake the feeling that his words carried deeper implications. However, since Logan didn’t press further, she was happy to drop the topic and move on.

Later that evening, back at the villa, Selina retired early to her room.

anwhile, Logan stood in the study room, his expression unreadable as he gave Jack a quiet instruction. "Look into her. See if she’s the person from back then."

She’d been to RS Estate. She bore a scar on her neck. Logan couldn’t ignore the growing connection between Selina and the person who had been etched into his mory.
