Lucy saw Selina staying silent and imdiately beca even more confident.

"Mr. Reid, that’s exactly what happened! I kindly advised her to stop coveting things that don’t belong to her, and she... she insulted !"

Logan’s lips curved slightly. "Oh? How did she insult you?"

"She hit ! Mr. Reid, look at my hand—this vile woman did this to !"

Logan narrowed his eyes. "Does it hurt?"

The mont those words left his mouth, everyone around them gasped in shock.

Was Mr. Reid... showing concern for Lucy?!

Oh my God! Lucy is so lucky!

Lucy’s eyes lit up with excitent. Seizing the opportunity, she twisted her waist and tried to throw herself into Logan’s arms—only for the man to take a casual step to the side, nearly making her fall.

Still, she was overjoyed and quickly played the victim.

"Thank you for your concern, Mr. Reid! It doesn’t hurt at all! But this maid went too far! She said she dines and sleeps with you every day, and that you can’t bear to be apart from her! Isn’t that complete nonsense?!"

"I only wanted to remind her of her place, but she got angry and attacked ! Mr. Reid, you must stand up for !"

Lucy spoke with growing confidence.

After all, Mr. Reid was notoriously cold toward won. Any woman who had ever dared to publicly claim she would win him over had been transferred out of the secretary’s office the very next day.

This little maid? She was done for!

Selina blinked, montarily stunned by Lucy’s sheer audacity in twisting the truth.

"Miss Lucy, do you think Reid Group doesn’t have security caras?"

Natalia, biting her lip, weakly added, "Sister, I know you don’t like , but you don’t have to take it out on Secretary Lucy. Mr. Reid is clearly concerned about her—don’t you think you’ve gone too far?"

Lucy dabbed at imaginary tears, waiting for Logan to punish this overreaching little maid.

But the expected punishnt never ca.

Instead, Logan let out a low chuckle—a sound that carried a trace of indulgence.

"Let see your hands." he mused.

Lucy imdiately stretched out her own. "Mr. Reid—"

But another hand moved faster.

Selina, looking pitiful and aggrieved, softly placed her hand into Logan’s palm.

Lucy’s expression turned ghastly. "Selina! Mr. Reid, look at her! You were clearly asking about , but this shaless woman—"

Logan barely spared Lucy a glance before idly studying Selina’s hand.

"It’s all red," he noted lazily. "Did you hit her too hard?"

Then, in an offhanded tone, he added, "Next ti, just let the bodyguards do it. No need to dirty your own hands."

Lucy choked.

What... what did he just say?!

Selina’s eyes twinkled mischievously as she dramatically pouted, her voice dripping with exaggerated sweetness.

"It’s all Lucy’s fault! Her skin is just too thick! My hand still hurts! Logan, she’s so annoying!"

Logan’s gaze turned cold as he looked at Lucy.

Lucy panicked.

Wait... wasn’t Mr. Reid concerned about her?!

Why was he treating this shaless woman like—like—

In her frustration, she completely lost control.

"Mr. Reid, don’t listen to this lying wench! Reid Group doesn’t allow outsiders to enter. I was just doing my job by keeping her out—"

Selina tilted her head, her tone aningful. "But why did you stop , Lucy? Natalia was able to co in. Why couldn’t I?"

Lucy didn’t even think before blurting out, "Natalia is the young miss of the Clark Family! And you? You’re nothing but a lowly nobody! You don’t deserve to—"

"Lucy."

A cold male voice interrupted her.

Lucy instantly felt a terrible sense of foreboding.

Logan’s presence was overwhelming, pressing down on her like a suffocating force. His voice was slow and deliberate.

"Who gave you the right," he said icily, "to disrespect my Mrs. Reid?"

Lucy’s brain short-circuited.

Her mind went blank.

Disrespect his... Mrs. Reid?

His Mrs. Reid...

She had only insulted Selina.

So that ant...

Selina was... Mrs. Reid?!

But... but wasn’t she just a maid?! How could she be Mrs. Reid?!

The words echoed in her mind over and over again.

And then—thud!

Lucy’s legs gave out, and she collapsed to the floor, her face as pale as a ghost.

She was finished.

Logan gave a calm yet decisive order. "I don’t need a secretary like you. You’re fired."

Lucy nearly lost her mind. She panicked, scrambling for an escape. "No, no—Natalia, help !"

"How strange." Selina suddenly blinked, her tone laced with hidden aning. "Sister, you always knew I was Mrs. Reid. So why didn’t you tell Secretary Lucy? Because of your silence, she made such a huge mistake."

"If you had warned her earlier, I doubt she would have insulted . Aren’t you two friends?"

The mont Selina’s words fell, silence swept through the room.

Natalia’s face instantly turned ghostly pale. "I..."

"Yes! Natalia, why didn’t you tell ?!" Lucy, as if clutching onto her last hope, hurriedly threw bla elsewhere.

"Mr. Reid, I never intended to stop Mrs. Reid at first! It was Natalia who told her sister was just so country bumpkin who would definitely displease you if she barged in. That’s why I blocked her from entering! Natalia misled !"

Natalia’s throat tightened as she forced tears to well up. "I didn’t! Secretary Lucy, how could you accuse like this?"

Lucy shrieked, "It was you! Otherwise, why would I have targeted Selina?! I didn’t even know her before today! You’re just jealous! You’re jealous that she beca Mrs. Reid while you’re still just a bastard child!"

Natalia let out a pitiful sob, tears falling down her face like a delicate flower in the rain. "Selina is my sister... Seeing her happy makes happy. Why would I be jealous..."

Selina leisurely watched the two of them tear into each other.

Once she was satisfied, she finally interrupted with a teasing smirk.

"Sister, I think Secretary Lucy has a point. She didn’t even know before today, so why would she have any reason to target ?" She tilted her head playfully before her eyes flashed with mischief.

"But... if you want to stop suspecting you, there is a way..."

Selina’s lips curled. "Right here, in front of all these employees—call Mrs. Reid."

Logan’s lips twitched into an almost imperceptible smirk.

Natalia’s entire body stiffened. She trembled, as if she had just suffered a great humiliation.

Call her Mrs. Reid? Impossible. Impossible!

That bitch Selina had no right to be married to Logan!

Selina clicked her tongue. "How odd. My dear sister insists she isn’t jealous of , yet she can’t even bring herself to say ’Mrs. Reid’ out loud."

Natalia suddenly felt countless eyes on her—judgntal, mocking, as if they were peeling back her carefully crafted mask.

She staggered two steps backward, her face completely drained of color. "I... I’m just not used to it yet..."

"That’s fine. I’ll give you so ti to get used to it." Selina nodded thoughtfully. "Will five minutes be enough? Go on, say it."

A bead of sweat rolled down Natalia’s forehead. Her voice ca out hoarse, carrying an undercurrent of sheer humiliation.

"Sister... a man like Mr. Reid would never like a woman who’s arrogant just because she’s favored. You shouldn’t ruin your reputation just to spite ."

"And besides... that scar on your neck is so hideous... Mr. Reid was already kind enough to marry you despite it. You should stop being so willful..."

The crowd instinctively turned their gazes toward Selina’s neck.

Oh my God... there really was a deep, jagged scar!

Mr. Reid could have any woman he wanted. If Selina kept acting out, she would surely be discarded sooner or later...

Selina’s face darkened.

Natalia had deliberately brought up her scar in front of everyone—publicly digging into her wounds!

Just as she was about to retort, Logan suddenly spoke first—
