Married First, Loved Later : A Flash Marriage with My Ex's 'Uncle' Chapter 100: Childhood Sweetheart
There’s sothing he lied to Mrs. Reid about.
Logan didn’t actually know in advance that Mrs. Reid was at Evergreen Study today. He went there to investigate Luna’s true identity after hearing about her connection to Justin.
Unexpectedly, he ran into Selina.
And Selina effortlessly obtained a painting from Gordon.
Too many coincidences happening to the sa person... ant they were no longer coincidences.
So Logan simply called Justin.
"Mr. Gray, there’s sothing I forgot to ask you earlier."
Justin’s voice was lazy, as usual. "Go ahead, Mr. Reid."
Leaning against his car, Logan got straight to the point. "I heard that you’ve been in Country B all these years. Have you ever co across the na Luna?"
Justin nearly choked on air. "...Ahem, why do you ask?"
"No big reason. I just had a small conflict with Luna a few years ago. She’s been hard to track down, so I thought I’d check with you."
Justin suddenly wanted to hold a mont of silence for Selina. "...Then you’re asking the wrong person, Mr. Reid. I do business in Country B, I’m not in the hacker trade. How would I know a hacker?"
Hearing Justin’s evasive answer, Logan let out a casual chuckle. "Thanks for your insights, Mr. Gray."
If he was 70% sure before, after today, he was 90% certain—Selina was Luna.
The only question was—why was she keeping it from him?
Earlier, when she saw the lipstick in his car, she was clearly upset. That ant she wasn’t completely indifferent to him.
Then why refuse to tell the truth?
Logan smirked slightly.
It seed Mrs. Reid had a lot of secrets.
And he would uncover them all—one by one.
Sapphire Valley Villa - Study.
Selina felt uneasy after Justin’s warning.
No... no way. How could Logan know?
It had to be a coincidence.
If he was suspicious, he would have questioned her in the car. Why go ask Justin instead?
Just then—
"Miller Butler, Miss Hayes is here!"
A maid’s voice echoed from downstairs, snapping Selina out of her thoughts.
Miller Butler rushed out in a hurry. "Miss Hayes, you ca as soon as you landed? Co in, co in!"
Then, a familiar, gentle voice followed—"Miller Butler, how have you been? I feel bad for being so busy abroad that I couldn’t visit you sooner."
Selina froze.
Miss Hayes?
That voice...
The woman she saw at Evergreen Study earlier—the one Logan picked up from the airport—was actually the eldest daughter of the Hayes Family, Rachel’s sister?!
Downstairs, Bella Hayes entered with gifts. "Miller Butler, these are for you. And these are for the staff who take care of the house."
Miller Butler was touched. "Ms. Hayes, you always rember us servants."
Bella shook her head and smiled. "Please don’t say that. I don’t think anyone here is a servant. Ethan, Andrew, co on in."
Ethan and another young man walked in—Andrew Martin, heir of the Martin family.
Selina had heard that Bella grew up with Logan, Ethan, and Andrew. Seeing them together now, the rumors seed true.
But sothing about Bella felt... off.
Ethan spotted Selina and imdiately waved. "Bella, let introduce you—this is Selina Clark, Logan’s wife."
Bella’s eyes darkened for a second before curving into a warm smile.
"I heard about Logan’s marriage from my father, but I never had the chance to et you. Now that I have, I must say—you’re quite stunning, Mrs. Reid. Logan and I are good friends, so you don’t have to see as an outsider."
Andrew grinned. "’Good friends’ my ass. Bella, you and Logan grew up together—you’re childhood sweethearts. If we’re talking about outsiders, Clark here fits the bill way more."
Bella playfully scolded, "Andrew, don’t say that! Selina, don’t take it seriously, he was just joking."
Selina raised an eyebrow.
To others, Andrew’s words might have sounded like a casual joke.
But she knew—it was a provocation.
And now, she was certain of one thing.
That afternoon at Evergreen Study, Bella had seen her. Yet, she chose not to speak up—instead, she deliberately moved closer to Logan.
That alone told Selina that Miss Hayes was no ordinary woman.
Not to ntion...
Calling herself Logan’s ’good friend’ in front of his wife?
That was an interesting choice of words.
Andrew smirked, lowering his voice as if he was only teasing Bella—but he made sure Selina heard every word, loud and clear.
"Bella, I’m not making things up. Let’s be honest—your relationship with Logan is probably closer than Mrs. Reid’s."
"You have your own private room at Sapphire Valley Villa. Before Logan got married, you were the only woman who could co and go freely. If that’s not special, I don’t know what is."
Selina would have to be a fool not to see what they were trying to do.
Coming to Logan’s wife and flaunting how close another woman was to him?
Who were they trying to disgust?
Selina’s lips curved into a bright smile.
Then, she suddenly turned to Andrew and asked, "Mr. Martin, the room you’re talking about—is it the one on the third floor?"
Andrew didn’t actually know which room it was—he was only repeating what Bella had said before. But since Selina asked, he straightened up confidently.
"That’s right."
Bella subtly bit her lip.
Everyone assud she had a private room at Sapphire Valley Villa.
But only she knew—those were just rumors she had spread herself to create an image.
She had never confird it with Logan.
Selina’s eyes widened in mock surprise.
"Oh! So it’s that one?" She nodded, then sighed dramatically.
"Mr. Martin, that room was originally a storage room. Logan said it was just sitting there empty, so he turned it into my walk-in closet. I had no idea it was Miss Hayes’ ’exclusive’ room. My apologies."
Andrew’s expression stiffened. "You—what storage room? That was Bella’s room! There’s no way Logan gave it to you!"
"But..." Selina tilted her head in feigned confusion.
"In the entire Sapphire Valley Villa, aside from the guest rooms, the only vacant space was that storage room."
She paused, then blinked innocently.
"Since Miss Hayes supposedly had her own room here, then aside from the storage room, where else could it be?"
"Unless... you’re saying it was the master bedroom?"
Silence.
Everyone’s eyes instinctively turned to Bella.
Bella’s throat tightened.
This bitch—she was setting her up!
If Bella claid it was the master bedroom, it would expose her ulterior motives.
After all, what female guest would stay in the male host’s bedroom?
But if she admitted it was just a storage room, she would be humiliating herself—because she had boasted to everyone that she had the best private room at Sapphire Valley Villa.
Either way, she would lose.
Bella clenched her lips, then forced a gentle smile.
"Andrew, I must have rembered wrong. It’s been a long ti since I stayed here, so my room probably doesn’t exist anymore." She turned to Selina and added sweetly, "Let’s not make Mrs. Reid uncomfortable over sothing so trivial."
Andrew still refused to back down.
"Bella, don’t let this get to you. Since Selina married Logan, she should know—you’re his childhood sweetheart."
"When you and Logan first t, she wasn’t even around. If she’s jealous of you, isn’t that just being petty?"
"Besides, I wasn’t wrong—even if you don’t have a private room here anymore, you still have a garden, don’t you?"
"Logan reserved that little garden just for you. Does anyone else have sothing like that?"
Selina narrowed her eyes. It’s not over yet, right?
