"If you have a kind heart, then you’ll do sothing better for the ogas. You should do this for the sake of your pack," Leia said.
"I don’t have a kind heart for anyone, except for a few that includes you," Lucien explained, still not touching the plate with a pastry.
Ronan grabbed the plate and handed it to Lucien before sitting down next to him. "Don’t tease her," he murmured, eating the spoonful of it.
"Ronan, tomorrow I’m going to my place with Lucien. Would you like to join us? Or do you have to train the new warriors?" Leia asked with gleaming eyes.
"You an the place you lived all your life?" Ronan asked.
"Hmm."
Ronan glanced at Lucien. ’You agreed?’ he mindlinked.
’Yes. She helped in my rut. That’s the least I can do for her,’ Lucien replied using the mindlink.
"What are you talking through gazes?" Leia narrowed her eyes at them.
"Sure, I will accompany you both," Ronan said.
"I’ll also join," Kieran too chid in. The three of them looked in his direction. "Sorry for getting late. I was with my old friend," he said, settling next to Leia.
"You drank?" Leia arched her eyebrows.
"Yeah. Sorry, I–"
"Why didn’t you tell you were going out for so drinks?" Leia complained. "It’s been so long since I drank. Next ti, you go, you’ve to take with you."
"You’re not allowed to drink. Didn’t I make it clear earlier once?" Lucien’s deep voice interjected them.
"I’m an adult. I can do whatever I want," Leia said. "We will go for clubbing too when we go to my place. I’ve so good colleagues who are humans. I used to go with them to the club on Saturday nights. And tomorrow we Saturday." She couldn’t hide her excitent.
Then, sighing she said, "All of you are so boring. You don’t even have fun on weekends. If you want, we can stay at my place for a week. What do you say, Lucien?"
"That’s not possible," Lucien refused instantly, causing Leia’s smile to disappear.
"Why?" Leia asked.
"The pack can’t be left for too long," Ronan explained.
"But you three can teleport. If anything happens, we can return imdiately. Can’t you even take a small vacation for yourself?"
"It’s not possible, kitten. We are simply going to your place to fetch your mother’s belongings. You should be grateful to that I considered taking you there, else I could’ve asked Caleb to pick your things," Lucien stated with a stern gaze.
Leia lowered her eyes and resud eating her pastry.
"What if I’ll stay with Leia at her place for a few days?" Kieran questioned.
"Just finish the pastry. The dinner ti is close," Lucien said, not giving any response on his youngest brother’s question.
Once they finished, a servant ca to collect the plates and spoons before heading to the kitchen.
"I’ll have my dinner late," Leia said and went upstairs to her room.
"You could’ve given her so days to spend at her house," Kieran muttered.
"It’s not a good idea. Humans surrounding her don’t know her identity, but among humans many are hunters, who don’t like our kind. I don’t want anything happen to her," Lucien asserted.
"But in the past few years, hardly any such incidents were reported. We are living harmoniously," Kieran remarked.
"You never know the ti. It doesn’t stay constant," Lucien asserted. Then, looking at the ti on the watch, he continued, "I’ve an important eting with the elders. Ronan, let’s go." He rose to his feet followed by his second brother.
"Kieran, we will be back before dinnerti. Don’t let Leia move out of your sight," Lucien said.
"Hmm." As Kieran nodded both his brothers left. Soti later, he went to his room and freshened up. He put the envelope on the bedside table before heading to Leia’s room.
Giving a gentle knock on the door of her room. She opened it and took a step back, letting him inside.
"Thank you for asking Lucien to let stay at my house for a week," Leia said as she saw Kieran taking the seat on the chair.
"But I couldn’t even manage to get his positive response," Kieran said, chuckling.
"Well, he’s right. The pack needs you three. They are like your family. I didn’t understand all of this when I wasn’t a part of it. However, now, I know how things work in a pack. Without their Alpha’s presence, anything can happen in a pack." Leia sat on the chaise while facing Kieran.
"It seems you’ve started acknowledging that you’re also a part of this pack," Kieran mused.
"Yes. After mom passed away, I lived alone. Delia was there, but she got a boyfriend either fake or real... I don’t know. The human friends I had were also busy in their lives. eting the people in the pack, I felt a warmth. At least, you won’t feel ever alone in a pack," Leia said while being serious.
"Have you ever thought why your mother never wanted you to be in a pack or be introduced as the last she-wolf?" Kieran asked her after a mont.
"Yes, I did. Earlier, I thought it was because how aggressive wolves could be. But after knowing a small part of truth from Delia, I think it’s because of my father. Lucien has said that he would help discover the truth from the past," Leia asserted.
"Hmm. That’s why you suddenly asked Lucien to let you visit your place? You want to bring your mother’s belongings here and search through them if you can find anything informative," Kieran explained.
"Yes. I need to know what kind of man my father was. And why he abandoned us?" Leia stated.
"If you are such a kind soul, then your father must be the sa," Kieran said, wanting to comfort her.
"I don’t think so. He wouldn’t have abandoned his daughter and mate if he were a kind soul. I thought a lot about what Delia said. I don’t think my father is dead. If he was, my mother wouldn’t have kept telling to never involve myself with the wolves," Leia affird.
