Leon hovered in the empty void, stuck in a non-existent tiline where the world itself had started peeling away.

The familiar warmth of the fading white fla coursing through him, a force as powerful as it was protective.

It was the sa energy that had protected him back when Kronos, the celestial ti mage, brutally wiped out every last soul on earth.

Now, that sa energy was preventing him from being swept away by the waves of ti reversal.

Usually, he would be able to control this energy, allowing himself to surrender to the flow of ti and be carried back to the past.

But this ti, conditions were different. The sheer amount of energy bursting out of him was far too much, beyond what he could control.

No matter how hard he tried to suppress it, his energy resisted, instinctively fighting against his skill. The result was that he remained trapped, stuck in the tiless which no longer existed.

Nonetheless, he could feel the fla enveloping him flickering, growing dimr with each passing second.

It was only a matter of ti before he too, would dissolve into those green particles, floating along with the waves of ti back into the past.

’Besides, it seems like I’m not the only one resisting against it...’ Leon thought, his gaze drifting to Kronos.

Kronos was still floating weakly nearby, his eyes glowing with a dim green light.

Similarly to him, Kronos was also fighting back the pull of ti reversal, struggling to maintain his presence in this dying tiline.

’Even with how exhausted he is... as expected of a celestial.’ Leon thought, scoffing under his breath.

He knew better than anyone that resisting was pointless, especially since the ti had already been reversed.

What was the point of even fighting against it, when at the end of the day he would later disintegrate into those green particles, rewinding back to the past also.

But still, he couldn’t help but feel a strange admiration for the man’s stubbornness.

"Still fighting it huh...?" Leon muttered, his voice carrying a mixture of amusent and disdain.

A low chuckle escaped his lips, his lips curling into a mocking smirk as he continued: "It’s pointless..."

Although his voice was low, Kronos was still able to catch every word, thanks for his senses which had been sharpened over the years.

The celestial’s eyes narrowed, and he clenched his fists, his fingers digging so deep into his palms that it stung.

’Manaless mage... every ti...’ He mumbled inwardly, gnashing his teeth in a bid to hold back the blood threatening to surge up his throat.

The ti curse Leon placed on him was still very much active, reminding him of the embarrassnt he suffered at his hands.

Even in this crumbling tiline, Kronos could feel the sharp sting in his heart, a pain that grew more intense with each beat.

Each pulse of his heart sent waves of agony coursing through his body, but Kronos tried desperately to resist it.

But despite how everything frustrated him, he knew the truth... that Leon was right.

There was indeed nothing he could do to stop sothing that had already happened from happening. Resisting the flow of ti was pointless, a fool’s errand that could only end in failure.

As the reality of the situation sank even deeper, Kronos’ head lowered, his gaze falling on the green particles that floated wantonly in the air around him.

He watched them swirl in the void, their glow dimming as they gradually faded into nothingness.

"That’s the problem with ’your kind’... always causing problems..." He muttered, with a wistful smile on his face.

His voice was tinged with bitterness, his words carrying a weight which hung heavily on his shoulders.

As he finished his words, the green glow in Kronos’ eyes finally dimd, the last remnants of his energy slipping away.

His body, already weakened by the internal wounds piled up upon it, began to disintegrate.

It started with his fingers, which slowly dissolved into tiny green particles. The process was agonizingly slow at first, like the world itself was reluctant to let him go.

However, the speed suddenly increased, rapidly spreading through the rest of his body.

Within a matter of seconds, Kronos was no more. His whole figure had dissolved into a cloud of green particles, which swayed gently in the wind, before vanishing into thin air.

Leon’s gaze lingered on the spot where Kronos had vanished, a strange glint flickering within them.

’You make it seem like I’m the villain here... anwhile... you’re the cause of everything. I’m just trying to save my world and the people in it... the people I care about...’ He mumbled inwardly, sighing under his breath.

At this point, everything had already dissolved... whether it the skies the earth and even the piles of debris scattered around.

The only thing left were green specks, floating freely in the vast world of nothingness.

Leon slowly closed his eyes, preparing to also fade into green particles, travelling back in ti also.

The white fla shrouding him had already greatly reduced, and his body was only covered with a thin veil of energy, aning there should be nothing holding him back anymore.

However, even after a few seconds, nothing happened, causing his brows twitched uncontrollably in annoyance.

"Strange... I’m still here." He muttered, snapping his eyes back open.

With most of his energy having already dissipated, he should have disintegrated into those green particles along with the rest of the world.

But for so reason, nothing of the such was happening to him... he was still standing here, trapped in this dead tiline.

Suddenly, he felt an overwhelmingly refreshing sensation wash over his right arm, causing his eyes to widen in surprise.

His gaze imdiately shifted to it, only to notice a thin, white crack resting on his forearm.

Leon gasped in shock, staring at the strange crack in disbelief.

It seed like a tear on a glass surface, however, what made it weird was that it was on a human body.

A bright white light suddenly shone within the crack, but it was quickly overshadowed by the veil of energy enveloping him.

’Shit! I thought doing this would solve the problem...’ Leon cursed inwardly, gnashing his teeth in frustration.

Even after pouring all his raging energy into a large-scale ti reversal, it seed like it was all pointless at the end... as his body was already starting to crumble apart!
