"Hmm, feisty. The War Hall would love to have you on our side," a younger mage boy with blue hair comnted, his eyes fixed on Ember.

Who would dare be so rude to Sky Palace mbers, if not a crazy person? This girl here was such a person, and it filled him with great pleasure. Showing her the power he wielded in Sky City would be absolutely thrilling.

"Hmm, you’re from the War Hall?" Arian was taken aback for a second. The War Hall was one of the top three strongest of the seven halls in the Sky Palace. They were responsible for all military actions of the palace and, under the right conditions…

The War Hall could commandeer control of the entire palace in the event of a direct attack. In terms of strength, they were extrely powerful.

"Yes, we are, and today I would like to officially screen you for your potential…" With a lewd smile on his face, the man with the athletic build said to Arian, looking at her like a hungry wolf.

He wanted nothing more than to bed the girl in front of him. He wanted to see if she was as strong in bed as she was in battle.

"Hm? But you’re just at the peak of level 3. How can you screen ?" Arian asked with mockery in her tone. This guy was hilarious. He was a whole realm below them. Did he think he was so hotshot?

"Haha, the ways of the Sky Palace are not so easily understood. I might be at the peak of level 3, but there’s no level 4 mage in this entire competition that can take on," the youth with the athletic build placed his hands on his hips and said loudly, as if proclaiming a heavenly decree.

His ability to fight above his realm was well known in the palace. He was Hamrhead, the Skull Crusher, and one of the top talents of the War Hall.

"Don’t worry, I’m also able to fight above my realm," the younger mage with blue hair added, smiling at Ember.

This was not their first rodeo. Girls like this were stubborn and refused to be tad most of the ti. They had to show their capabilities first before being able to bed them.

"Interesting. So I’ll be right to say… you can beat him?" Arian pointed up at the bleachers, where a young man in a wheelchair could be seen seated, looking blankly into the sky.

"A cripple?" Hamrhead turned to the young man and frowned deeply. Why was she pointing to a cripple? Was this so sort of underhanded insult or sothing?

"That’s my brother," Arian added with a smile on her face.

"Ah, I see. Well, I can’t really be seen bullying people. I’m sure your brother won’t be a problem, though." He scratched his head. He didn’t know what the issue was with Arian’s brother, but he couldn’t just walk up to a cripple and start beating on him.

That was beyond uncalled for.

"Hm? Wait a minute." As Hamrhead was still trying to understand why Arian wanted him to beat up her brother, the young man with blue hair spoke.

"Isn’t that the Storm Strategist?" he asked with squinted eyes.

That blonde hair, the erald wheelchair, and this blank look on his face… he had seen this guy from afar before.

"Storm Strategist? Who’s that?" Hamrhead asked, looking a bit bewildered.

Yolan knew the cripple by his title? Was he soone special?

"You… don’t know? The guy is part of the Magic Hall’s King Class Program," Yolan, the young man with blue hair, raised his eyebrows with frustration. Then he quickly shifted his attention from Hamrhead and looked straight at Arian.

"Do you guys know Technique God Carlson?" he asked, clearly shaken.

"Yes, he’s an old friend," Arian smiled with a look of innocence. It seed like Carlson’s na carried more weight than they all thought.

"We apologize for bothering you." Yolan imdiately bowed and, in the next second, started pulling Hamrhead away by his arm.

"What’s going on?" Hamrhead complained as he missed a few steps from being dragged along. Were they going to abandon the ladies?

"Shut up. Do you want to get us killed?" Yolan shot a deadly look at him and sneered as they pulled farther away from Arian and the rest.

Damn, they had just tried to ss with the sister of soone in the King Class Program of the Magic Hall?! If word got out to anyone in the Magic Hall, they would be absolutely cooked.

Especially Technique God Carlson, that guy was a manic who had held his own against a Tower lord for 30 seconds. If he wanted them gone—

Just the thought of all the problems that could arise scared him shitless, and this big oaf was still thinking of bedding soone? He needed new friends!

"Don’t think about it."

As the two left the area in a hurry, Ni’an’s voice resounded as he placed his hand on Leon’s shoulder.

"We are here to get in and get out. Don’t cause trouble," Ni’an added.

He had been traveling with Leon for a while and had heard a few things. He knew this guy was a serious troublemaker and extrely petty.

"Hehe, you don’t have to worry about , Ni’an. I’m just a little jealous of Sky Palace for having such leeches," Leon smirked, then turned to the betting booths to see all the monks exiting with bags of coins in their hands.

"We should go before things turn sideways," Leon said, and they all proceeded to leave the area as fast as possible.

Soon after, chaos ensued in the betting booths as they suddenly ran out of money to pay the other bettors.

The odds for Arian and Ember to survive were really high, so with the amount of money Leon staked, he had won more than half the entire pool.

Forget about paying off those who staked a lot on safer bets—even the ones who bet 5 to 100 Sky Gold couldn’t get their money.

And as for Leon, who had created this situation, he was long gone.
