A raggedy carriage rode down the streets of Sky City in the early hours of the evening. At this ti, the city was mostly silent with minimal amount of denizens walking around.

In fact, aside from the carriage there was literally no one of that street.

"Ceeeee"

Soon enough the carriage ca to a halt before an inn with a sign of that read ’Water Inn’ in a strange language not commonly used in Finor world.

But of course, the likes of Leon and Ni’an who were the knowledge seeking type were conversant with this particular language.

"This is the place" Leon smirked bitterly looking at the inn, it was styled like the inns back in eldoria with a combination of wooden and stone structures all around.

"Yeah I guess so" Ni’an nodded affirming the fact as two of them stepped out of the carriage subsiquently.

In the duel at the snow mountain village, Leon had successfully defeated Carlson in battle causing the audience to gasp in shock and disbelief. This was a mber of sky palace, a prominent one at that.

It was inconceivable for him to have lost, so they all tagged Leon as a cheater and raised an alarm to the others in the surrounding which included a sky palace guard post.

They were shaless, but Carlson wasn’t. Before they were chased away with pitchforks he handed them their prize.

A way into sky palaces through a connection in sky city.

"Everyone pack your things in, we might be staying here for a while" Ni’an instructed and almost imdiately they all took their bags from the carriage and took them directly into the inn to settle down.

Leon would settle the bill until their connection contacts them, but until then they could relax.

And so they settled in the inn.

A day went by, then two, then three and soon it began to seem like there would be no contact.

Unfortunately for them, even though the contact from Carlson hadn’t found them, trouble had made its way to their door steps.

"You’re sure they are inside?"

In the corner of a building several houses from the inn, a troop of n and won with pitchforks and sticks could be seen lined up in a perfect line in the dark.

It was very late at night at this point, most people were already tucked in their blankets and prepared to Fall into a deep slumber.

But not these n,

These people were called ’The people’s resistance to evil’

They were a group of concern individuals in sky city that worked their whole lives to protect the city from the outside world and primarily outsiders.

This was a more nuanced way of saying they hated warlocks and didn’t want them in the city, even as slaves.

And what could be worse than a slave warlock? A free one!!

"Yeah, every single one ca in today, apparently the warlock t an old friend? So they are hosting him in their room" a shadowy voice resounded confirming that Leon and the rest were inside the in.

"Good, you have done a great service to your city. Pay him" at the front of the troop, a short man with a bully build and a per of not so visible contact lenses could be seen.

"Thank you," the the shadowy figure bowed his head in respect as he received a bag of bronze coins amounting to about 30 silver.

All over the city, there was a rather strict policy on privacy because of the actions of ’The people resistance of evil’ movent. No one wanted their guests or slaves to be attack by these hoodlums, so anyone caught feeding information would be fired.

However, the movent seed to always get its information quicker than other sources. Even the city guard and it was simply for one reason.

The working class

Most had benefited from warlocks taking over cheap labour, there was no good job or the average under skilled individual for a long ti, but with the war and now ’the people’s resistance against evil’ movent their jobs were coming back.

They would be foolish not to aid them in their cause, as it was what kept food on their tables.

"Let’s go!!" The short bulky man nodded his head and stretched his hand forward activating his n.

And like a well trained group they stord the street with their weapons of protest and went straight down to the inn.

They worked like a well oiled chine, In one minute they reached the inn in the next they had broken windows and jumped in to the main hall.

The inn security tried to stop them, but were quickly overpowered and the rest were let into inn through the front door, it wouldn’t take a genius to see that this was not their first rodeo.

They had done this countless tis.

"Quick, find their rooms before the city guard gets here" walking through the front door, the short bulky man said to his n as he scanned around the employees of the Water inn.

These fools were betrayers, they sold their own people for money by letting leon and his friends into their inn.

For this they would suffer, but first, the warlock, that smug fool had to suffer first.

And like that the n of the people’s resistance of evil movent ransacked the inn, going from room to room pulling people out of their beds in search of Leon’s group.

anwhile,

"Why are you looking at like that?" In front of a small table, a young man with blonde hair asked with a look of confusion on his face.

"I…." Arian couldn’t help but bite her lip awkwardly as she looked at the young man

"You’ve beco powerful brother" she said feeling a little out of place. Carlson had told her that he wasn’t the only one that left eldoria, and she expected it to be so other people from the faceless rcenary company….

But it was her twin brother?

Yes, the contact they were ant to et in the city was none other than Arians twin brother
