As the invitations for the banquet spread, all mbers of the myriad clans began preparations. They all had their reasons to be here and would need to make headway before the party.

So delved into hardcore training and battling, while so desperately tried to break through to another level, either in their power level or their spell usage.

The houses were never so busy.

But ti waited for no one, and the nights beca days, and before they knew it, it was the fourth night after the invitations were sent out.

About a dozen carriages, being escorted by several n and won, left the outskirts of Griffin’s Peak and made their way towards Griffin City. This was a sight very similar to what had happened 10 years ago.

Naturally, the residents of Griffin City were in anticipation, while so others were in fear. As much as the event from 10 years ago was enjoyable, it had left a lot of businesses damaged and saw many lives lost.

No one wanted it to repeat—at least none of the nonparticipants wanted to be drawn in.

At the mighty walls of Griffin City, large elevators, the kind ant for large objects and numbers of people, had replaced the ones previously used. It showed that the Golden Griffin Clan had made all the necessary preparations to et with the myriad clans today.

"20,000? That’s too much."

Of course, this didn’t stop them from making money off the guests. It wasn’t a matter of money, it was one of dominance. If any of them refused to pay, it was a sign of disrespect to the three Sky Sovereigns, just as refusing to co for the banquet was.

No one knew how petty the First Sky Sovereign was more than the myriad clan heads, so even though they grumbled under their breaths, ultimately, they all agreed to go with the flow.

And just like that, they all entered the city with ease, and without wasting ti, they all went to the Golden Tower. At least most of them did.

"Let’s make a stop at a friend’s place," the Supre Leader of the Blood Serpent Clan spoke from within his carriage to Po, who was now his coachman, to which Po could only nod and pass the information to the others, who proceeded to turn in the direction pointed out by the Supre Leader.

Soon, they found themselves moving through the backstreets of Griffin City, places dark and gloomy. But with the Supre Leader here, there was little they needed to be afraid of.

"Hey! Isn’t that old Nephron?"

"Hey, big shot, why does your hat look like a chimney?"

"Hey, Neph, send a couple of blood gems, why don’t you? I’ve got a family to feed, old bastard."

As they made their way through a particular street, echoes from the windows of the surrounding buildings resounded as they called out to the Supre Leader, who sat at the top of his carriage as usual.

It was strange seeing the Supre Leader being teased like this for most of the new outer disciples and the direct ones like Po and Victoria. The mighty Supre Leader Nephron, a man able to flip the sky and make the sea churn, was being teased by a bunch of old n.

Co to think of it, none of them knew Nephron’s age. As far as they knew, he had been the Supre Leader for as long as anyone could rember, and although he kept his youthful appearance, they could all feel his age from the way he spoke.

"Hehehe, these old retards. Acting like they don’t see my disciples with here," Nephron laughed bitterly but felt a warmth in his heart.

He had known most of these guys in their youthful days. Back then, he was barely at the clan and enjoyed moving around.

Not long after, the carriage ca to a stop in front of an open restaurant where a caretaker was cleaning a glass cup.

"He’s expecting you," the caretaker said, while focusing completely on cleaning the glass cup of the slightest bit of germs. He was a neat freak.

"Okay," the Supre Leader smiled, then slowly got down from the carriage and beckoned over a few disciples, naly—

Kang, Rengoku, Po, Victoria, Bran, Nolan Qarc, and finally Leon.

Together, all eight entered the deep parts of the restaurant while the others took their seats all around, waiting for the Supre Leader.

"Can I sit here?" Upon reaching a small room at the back of the restaurant, the Supre Leader spoke calmly to a bunch of n seated playing cards.

"I don’t know, old man, can you? Won’t your dusty bones crack?" one of the n jested when he heard that. If Nephron wanted to sit here, there were few people in the whole of Griffin City that could say no to him.

"You’ve grown wings, eh, Blue Bird?" Nephron joked before making his way forward and sitting right next to them.

At this mont, all communication stopped. Even Leon couldn’t hear a word coming out of the mouths of the five n seated at the table in front of them.

"Hehehe," Po laughed bitterly as he walked forward and placed his hand on Leon’s shoulder.

"The old man has been around for a while; it’s only natural to make friends when you’ve been around this long," Po muttered, stating the obvious.

The n seated here were obviously of special backgrounds, most especially the one with no pupils. Yes, the Supre Leader was right when he said this Elder Black Wing liked trouble. Even though his reply was "no" back in the tower, it was all a ruse.

In fact, despite the carefree attitude written on his face, he was, in fact, the first person to get here.

"Hm?" As they stood together, watching the old n go about their plans for trouble, Leon felt a gaze on him, causing him to pan his head toward Bran.

The old fool was staring at him with greedy eyes, as if Leon had sothing he wanted.

"Try again, I dare you," Leon smirked back, taking the old man Bran aback.
