Lu Jueyu and the others had already eaten since they woke up after a short nap and left so food for them. Taking out three bamboo tubes from one of the big bags, she handed them to her friend.
Holding the bamboo tubes, Pan ijia could sll the fragrant at and mushrooms from them and felt her mouth watered. She took a deep sniff and asked, "Jueyu, what is it?"
Seeing her friend's eager expression, Lu Jueyu chuckled and explained, "This is bamboo tube rice. Since I didn't know what everyone liked, I made savory and sweet versions. There are two savory and one sweet left. You and my second brother-in-law can share."
"Then we won't be polite. Thank you, Jueyu," Pan ijia said, handing two bamboo tubes to her boyfriend.
As they opened the bamboo tubes, Lu Jueyu took out a thermos flask from her small bag and said, "I made so herbal tea for us. Here, drink so."
Pan ijia's mouth was full of rice, so she could only nod as she accepted the thermos flask.
Seeing this, Li Lingyun said helplessly, "Eat slowly and chew thoroughly. Don't choke yourself."
Hearing this, Pan ijia slowed her eating and smiled at him. Since her boyfriend likes to eat sweet food, she gave the sweet flavor to her boyfriend.
Father Li chuckled when he saw their interaction. Among his three daughters-in-law, Pan ijia wasn't the youngest. But maybe due to the pampering she received from his second son and her family, she behaved more like a child compared to Lu Jueyu, who was three years younger.
Thinking about this, he glanced at his third son with a frown. His third daughter-in-law had been married to his third son for almost half a year, yet there was still no good news from them.
He wondered if they hadn't planned to have a child yet or if his third son had health issues. Considering his son's age, he resolved to have a talk with him after they returned to Xie village.
If there was a health problem, he should consult a doctor. While it might be embarrassing, it was also understandable since he had been severely injured before. He had heard that if a man was severely injured in the abdon, he might have difficulties fathering a child.
While lost in thought, Father Li heard Dong Li's voice. "Grandpa, are you feeling uncomfortable?"
The mont Father Li heard this, he ca back to his senses and realized he shouldn't worry about his third son. With Dong Li and Dong Hua adopted by them, even if his third son couldn't have his own children, he would still have soone to rely on in their old age.
When this thought crossed his mind, Father Li felt relieved and patted his grandson's shoulder. "Grandpa's just a little dizzy."
Hearing this, Dong Li quickly rummaged through his bag and took out a small bottle. He opened the lid and said, "Grandpa, try slling this. Jianmin made this Ginkgo Biloba oil. I asked Doctor Xie, and he said it's safe to use. It can help with dizziness due to motion sickness and improve blood flow."
Noticing the concern in his grandson's eyes, Father Li nodded and took the small bottle. He inhaled deeply with the bottle near his nostrils.
Along with the fragrance of ginkgo, he also slled the refreshing scent of mint. After a while, he felt more refreshed, and the dizziness caused by the train's movent eased significantly.
Seeing that he looked better, Dong Li said, "Grandpa, keep this bottle with you. If you feel dizzy, just sll it again."
"If Grandpa takes it, what about you?" Father Li asked.
"Grandpa, I'm not dizzy, so I don't need it. You keep it," Dong Li replied.
Since it was his grandson's gesture of filial piety, Father Li accepted the bottle and said, "Thank you, Xiao Li."
Dong Li smiled and nodded. He was happy that he could help his grandpa.
Besides his adoptive parents, the person he is most grateful to is his grandfather. Without his encouragent and acceptance, he may not be able to open up his heart and integrate into his new family this fast.
Sitting across from them, Li Chenmo smiled at their interaction and continued reading his book.
After finishing their lunch, Pan ijia looked at her friend and asked in a low voice, "Jueyu, do you have any extra food?"
Thinking her friend was still hungry, Lu Jueyu was taken aback. The amount of bamboo tube rice wasn't small. She looked at her friend's small figure and said with amazent, "ijia, I know you have a good appetite, but I never thought you could eat so much."
Pan ijia realized her friend had misunderstood and said, "We t with my brother's subordinates. Both of them are young, and I'm sure they didn't prepare much food."
Hearing this, Lu Jueyu raised her eyebrows and asked with a smile, "So you want to take care of them? Won't my second brother-in-law be jealous if you do that?"
Rolling her eyes at her friend, Pan ijia replied, "Brother Yun won't be that petty."
After thinking for a mont, Lu Jueyu said, "Well, I did prepare extra food for us just in case. We can share so stead buns, mixed peanuts, and dried fruits with them. It's easy to eat and filling."
Pan ijia nodded and said, "That will do."
As Lu Jueyu took out the food from one of the big bags, Pan ijia peeked inside and exclaid, "Jueyu, I thought this bag was filled with your clothes. Turns out you packed a full bag of food and snacks!"
"Well, we didn't have many choices since not much food can stay fresh for too long. So, I only made stead buns, pancakes, dried food, and so snacks. It should be enough for us until we reach the Capital," Lu Jueyu explained.
"If you want, you can take so snacks to munch on during the journey," she added.
