Lu Jueyu chuckled lightly and said, "You are my fiancé. If I don't marry you, who else should I marry?"

"Jueyu, even if I recover, I can't be like before. If you want to cancel our engagent, I..."

Before he could finish speaking, she interrupted him.

"What do you an by that? Am I such a person in your eyes?" Lu Jueyu asked with a frown.

Li Chenmo was taken aback by her stern tone. Looking into her cold eyes, he suddenly beca a little anxious.

"No, that's not what I ant."

"Li Chenmo, I know what I'm doing and I don't care what others say about you. If I don't want to, no one can force . I choose to marry you not because you saved my life. But because you are a person worthy of my trust and respect," She said seriously.

While Li Chenmo was moved, he was also disappointed. He's happy that she's willing to be with him, even though he might be limping in the future. However, he is also disappointed because she only has trust and respect for him, while he longs for her love.

'Li Chenmo, you can't be too greedy. As long as you can be with her, even if she doesn't love you, you should be content.'

He repeated this sentence over and over in his mind before he felt better. When he looked at her again, he had already cald down and said with a smile, "Jueyu, thank you."

Lu Jueyu didn't know why he was thanking her and felt a little shy under his burning gaze. She can only change the topic to reduce her embarrassnt.

"The soup is getting cold." She reminded him.

He smiled and drank the fish soup. The fish soup is delicious and refreshing. He is very curious about the ingredients of this soup as he feels warm and comfortable after drinking it. When Lu Jueyu poured the last drop of fish soup into the bowl, he only saw fish at and two slices of ginger.

Seeing him looking at the ginger, she asked, "You don't like ginger?"

"This ginger is good. I feel warm after drinking the soup."

Hearing what he said, she just humd. When he was done, she cleared the bowl and took it out with the jar. When she ca back, she saw him yawning and said, "It's ti for to go back. Rest well, and get better soon. Don't think too much about random things."

She helped him to lie down and covered him with a quilt. When she straightened her back, he held her fingers and asked, "Are you coming tomorrow?"

"I'll co and bring you dinner later. You can't skip als."

"Okay, be careful on the way ho." He said softly.

"I know. I'm leaving." She nodded and left without looking back.

Li Chenmo looked at her back and fell into deep thought. He wondered what had happened to her to make such a drastic change in her attitude towards him.

She was upset the last ti they t before he returned to the army. Although she didn't say a word about their marriage, he knew clearly that she didn't want to marry him. He would never have proposed to her if the villagers hadn't seen them embracing each other and spreading those ugly rumors.

But just now, he couldn't describe the look in her eyes when she saw him. It was as if she was looking at another person through him. Does she already have soone in her heart? Is he just a substitute?

The more he thought about it, the more anxious, jealous, and insecure he beca. There are still two months until the wedding, and anything can happen during that period. He must recover quickly to prevent her from changing her mind. Suddenly, a thought flashed through his mind.

'That's right! Why didn't I think of it just now? I should give it to her when she cos later.'

His mood improved as he found a way to 'tie' her to his side. Not long after, he fell asleep while smiling.

At the sa ti, Lu Jueyu was walking ho when a young man blocked her way. She stopped and looked at the young man. She stood there with a distance of five ters between them. The young man looked at her with sadness and anger in his eyes. He clenched his fist and took a step forward. When he walked towards her, Lu Jueyu took a step back.

Seeing her action, he froze for a mont.

He lowered his head for a while before he looked at her and asked, "Jueyu, do you have to do this?"

Lu Jueyu didn't see this man in her dream, and she had no mory of the original host. So, when she heard his words, she just showed confusion in her face. Seeing her indifference, the young man was very hurt.

He took a deep breath and asked, "Does the ti we spent together an nothing to you?"

This ti, she couldn't help asking, "I'm sorry, but who are you?"

Hearing her words, the young man's eyes widened with disbelief. He clutched his chest, his eyes were red. If she didn't know, she would think he was the male lead in a dog-blood drama.

"Jueyu, I know you are angry with because of Huang Yuanwen's words. But, there is nothing between and her. We indeed grew up together and have an engagent, but I only regard her as my sister. You are the only one I love. I will ask my parents to call off the engagent and marry you.

Jueyu, you must believe !" He spoke so heartbreakingly that at the end of his words, tears rolled down from the corners of his eyes.

Lu Jueyue would almost have applauded his performance if she hadn't been disgusted by watching his one-man show. She hated this kind of man the most, and said coldly, "Sorry, I don't know you, and I don't understand what you're talking about."
