When Li Chenmo and Lu Jueyu arrived at Feng Lin's house, Grandpa Feng was weaving a bamboo basket in the front yard while stretching his neck and looking out. Usually by this ti, his grandson has returned from school. But today, the sun has set in the west, and he still hasn't seen his grandson co back.
Looking outside, he saw so unfamiliar people coming in. Seeing them parking the bicycle outside his house, he stopped what he was doing and looked at them curiously. Not long after, he heard soone knocking on the gate.
"Hello, is anyone ho?"
Grandpa Feng put down the unfinished bamboo basket and went to open the door. Seeing a couple looking at him with a smile, he asked, "Who are you looking for?"
"Hello, uncle. We are Dong Huang's parents. We are looking for Feng Lin's grandparents." Li Chenmo said.
"I am Xiao Lin's grandfather. Why are you looking for ?" Grandpa Feng said doubtfully.
Lu Jueyu looked at her husband, and said after hesitating for a mont, "Uncle, Feng Lin is injured. We are here to inform you about this."
Seeing that Grandpa Feng's face was ashen after hearing the news, she quickly added, "Uncle, please don't worry. We have taken him to the hospital for examination, and he is resting at our house now."
"How is my grandson's condition?" Grandpa Feng asked worriedly.
"This… Uncle, can we go in and talk?" Lu Jueyu said.
Realizing that they were standing on the gate, Grandpa Feng quickly said, "Ah, please co in."
After entering the house, Grandpa Feng took them to the living room. He poured them a glass of water and said, "Please have a seat."
After Li Chenmo and Lu Jueyu sat down, Grandpa Feng asked, "Nephew, how is my grandson? Is he seriously injured? What happened?"
"Uncle, Xiao Lin has a minor fracture on his left shoulder blade and it may take six weeks to fully recover. We have sent him to the county hospital for treatnt. He is not in danger but during the recovery period, he mustn't move his left arm." Li Chenmo explained.
"As for what happened, it was actually because Xiao Lin protected my daughter when she was bullied at school." He added.
Upon hearing his words, Grandpa Feng was stunned. He didn't expect that his grandson would be willing to sacrifice his own safety to protect soone. Based on this alone, he knew that the daughter of this couple must be the deskmate that his grandson talked about recently.
Seeing that Grandpa Feng didn't speak, Lu Jueyu said, "Uncle Feng, we are here to apologize to your family. We will bear the cost of Xiao Lin's treatnt until he fully recovers. We will also do our best to ensure that there will be no complications to his health in the future due to his injury. If you have any requirents, we will try to accommodate them."
After listening to her words, Grandpa Feng ca back to his senses and said, "Niece, although Xiao Lin was injured while protecting your daughter, this incident is not your family's fault. It was an accident."
"What's more, this is Xiao Lin's decision and choice to protect your daughter regardless of the consequences. So, how can my family bla your daughter and your family?" Grandpa Feng added.
After hearing what Grandpa Feng said, Li Chenmo and Lu Jueyu looked at each other.
After a while, Li Chenmo said, "Uncle Feng, my wife and I are thinking that since Xiao Lin can't move his left arm, it will be very inconvenient for him to do things alone. We want to know if you are willing to let him live with my family until he fully recovers."
Grandpa Feng was stunned and said, "Living with your family? This..."
"Uncle, we know that Xiao Lin is helping the family working on the field to earn work points. If it's not possible for him to live with my family, we will use food to compensate Xiao Lin for his work points." Li Chenmo added.

"Uncle Feng, this is just a small token of gratitude from my husband and I. Please don't refuse." She said as she pushed the bamboo basket in front of Grandpa Feng.
Grandpa Feng nodded and did not refuse their gifts. Without looking at the bamboo basket, he said, "I'll inform my wife about this matter and I'll go with you to pick up my grandson. Please wait a mont."
After saying that, Grandpa Feng went to the backyard to find his wife, while Li Chenmo and Lu Jueyu were waiting for him in the living room. Not long after, Grandpa Feng ca back with Grandma Feng.
Seeing them, Grandma Feng ca over and said, "Niece and nephew, thank you for paying Xiao Lin's dical expenses."
Lu Jueyu was startled by her gratitude. Logically speaking, Feng Lin was injured because of Dong Huang. So, paying his dical expenses is what they should do.
She waved her hands and said, "Aunt Feng, this is what we should do. We should thank Xiao Lin and your family instead."
Grandpa Feng patted his wife on the back and said, "Wife, don't worry too much. I will go with them to pick up Xiao Lin."
Grandma Feng nodded and said, "Okay. Be careful on the road."
After saying goodbye, Li Chenmo and Lu Jueyu walked with Grandpa Feng back. Since the bicycle could not fit three people, Li Chenmo pushed the bicycle while they walked. It took them nearly an hour to reach their ho.
"Uncle Feng, this is my ho. Please co in." Lu Jueyu said as she opened the door.
