Besides chicken soup, Lu Jueyu planned to make a bowl of noodles for her eldest sister-in-law. She couldn't drink soup alone, as she needed lots of energy to give birth.
While she was busy in the kitchen, Li Chenmo ca over to look for her. Seeing his wife busy cooking, he said, "Wife, don't tire yourself. Let do it."
Knowing that her husband was stubborn when it ca to her, Lu Jueyu didn't refuse and let him cook while she gave instructions from the side.
As the two of them were busy in the kitchen, Li Lingyun arrived with his wife at the sa ti as Li Jingqian and Mother Zhang.
After they greeted each other, they went to check on Zhang Dongi's condition. With the midwife and Mother Zhang in the bedroom, Pan ijia went to the kitchen to help Lu Jueyu.

They were familiar with the mountain path and only needed half an hour to reach the first trap location.
As they checked the trap, they saw a hare inside. Due to its small size, it had avoided being stabbed by the sharp wooden stakes installed at the bottom of the trap.
Dong Li used a hemp rope to tie up the hare and put it in his bamboo basket before they walked to the next location. Along the road, he picked up so dicinal herbs that he recognized. It took them more than two hours to check all the traps.
They get a total of three hares, one died and two alive, two pheasants, and a roe deer.
Since it was almost winter, they didn't worry about the prey getting spoiled due to the temperature. So, they added more bait, hoping to catch bigger prey.
When they were done checking the traps, Li Chenmo brought his son to the waterfall area in the mountains to gather firewood.
Unlike the mountain foothills, where there were only dried branches from old trees, this area had oak trees, one of the best types of wood for firewood.
Due to the secluded location, the dried branches were abundant. They picked the firewood and tied them up with dried vines.
Two hours later, the father and son managed to gather more than sixty bundles. Li Chenmo let his son carry twenty bundles and carried the rest himself.
When they returned to their house, the sun had reached its peak. Checking the position of the sun, he said, "Ah Li, go call your sister from Ah Lin's house. We will have lunch first before going to your eldest uncle's house."
Placing the firewood down, Dong Li nodded and replied, "Okay, Father."
Li Chenmo stored the firewood in the woodshed and went to prepare lunch. His wife's space had plenty of firewood, but he needed a cover to use it. That's why he brought his son to the mountain today.
While he was busy cooking, Li Chenze was supporting his wife as she walked around the room. It had been several hours, but she was still not ready to go into labor.

Due to her sister-in-law's lack of appetite, she hadn't prepared rice but made so vegetable porridge instead. As for the side dishes, she made chicken soup with ginseng and ginger, stead tofu with soy sauce, stead eggs, and grilled fish.
