While his words sounded normal to the Chen family, Father Wei and Chen Mingze could hear the aning hidden beneath them. He was criticizing Father Wei's behavior.
Not noticing the tension between them, Chen Gang nodded and said with a smile, "Jianmin is right. Sister-in-law, if you or the children need anything, just co find us."

The mont Father Wei heard his grandson call Chen Jianguo "Second Brother," his face darkened.

Turning to his mother, Chen Jianmin said, "Mother, I will take my brothers to wash up and eat."
As soon as she heard this, Wu Yahui quickly said, "Go ahead. I left so food on the stove, you can just heat it up."
"Okay."
Before leaving the living room, Chen Jianmin gave Father Wei a cold glance and left with the children. Staring at his back, Father Wei frowned deeply but said nothing.
After they left the living room, Chen Jianmin and his brothers washed their faces, hands, and feet before heading to the kitchen to eat their al.
At the sa ti, Dong Li and Dong Huang were enjoying a bowl of mung bean soup on the balcony.
"Mother, Father, I plan to go to the mountains tomorrow with my cousins. Jingqian said he wanted to find so plums for his mother," Dong Li said.
Hearing this, Li Chenmo asked, "Who will be going with you?"
Dong Li thought for a mont and replied, "Besides Jingqian and Jingxu, I will be going with Jianmin and his brothers. The mountains are dangerous, so I won't bring the younger ones."
Lu Jueyu nodded and said, "Then be careful when you go to the mountains."
"I know, Mother," Dong Li replied with a nod.
Sitting beside her brother, Dong Huang said, "Mother, can I go play with Ah Lin tomorrow? Uncle Feng is back now, so Ah Lin has more free ti. We agreed to go pick mushrooms with Shitou tomorrow."
When Lu Jueyu heard her children's plans, she was montarily speechless. The children seed busier than she was. After a mont of thought, she said, "Just stay near the pig pen area. Don't go too far."
"Thank you, Mother!" Dong Huang nodded with a smile.
After their afternoon snack, the children went to the greenhouse with their father to pull out weeds and harvest so vegetables and fruits while Lu Jueyu prepared dinner.
When the sky darkened, the family had dinner and then went to their bedrooms to rest.
Early the next morning, Dong Li woke up before dawn and went to prepare breakfast. Just as he finished cooking, he heard the sound of bells and went to open the gate.
Seeing Chen Jianmin outside, he raised his eyebrows and said, "Jianmin, it's only four o'clock. Why are you here so early?"
"My eldest aunt is moving out today, so I ca to borrow a bicycle," Chen Jianmin replied with a smile.
Stepping aside, Dong Li gestured for him to co in and asked, "So, you are not going to the mountain today?"
"I'm still going with Jianguo, it's just that Mingze won't be coming."
Dong Li nodded and said with a sigh, "His grandpa doesn't seem like soone who can accept rural life."
Hearing this, Chen Jianmin snorted and replied, "I heard from Uncle Houzi that their family no longer holds a position in the governnt. They ca here to escape punishnt, yet they still dare to look down on us."
"I don't know what gives him the confidence to act high and mighty when living in other people's houses. If it weren't for my parents' soft hearts, I wouldn't even bother with them."
As they walked to the woodshed, Dong Li asked knowingly, "So, you are not accepting Mingze and Yuze either?"
Chen Jianmin gave his friend a glance and said, "No matter how the adults behave, Mingze and Yuze are innocent. We share the blood of the Chen family, so I won't ignore them."
"As for that old man Wei, as long as he doesn't do anything to Jianguo, I will leave him alone. But if he dares to cause trouble for Jianguo, then he can't bla for being ruthless."
Hearing this, Dong Li chuckled and said, "Just know your limits."

After their brief conversation, Chen Jianmin left with the bicycle. While the Chen family was busy helping Wei Zhiying and her family move into their new house, Li Chenmo and his family continued their morning routine as usual.
