Since the elders already said so, Lin ifeng finally nodded and accepted the money. She wiped away her tears and said, "Mother, Father, thank you. I will definitely return to visit you during the holiday."
Aunt Lin knew that after a girl married into another family, it wouldn't be easy for her to return to her natal family's house.
Not to ntion that she married into a faraway place—even if they lived in the sa village—if the in-laws forbade her to return, she couldn't return. So, she only nodded and didn't take her adopted daughter's words to heart.

Standing at the gate, Aunt Lin and Uncle Lin watched Lin ifeng leave with Jiang Ziyu. The two of them stood there until they were no longer able to see their backs before they moved their gazes.
Noticing his wife was crying, Uncle Lin patted her back gently and said, "Wife, why are you crying? It's good for ifeng to marry soone who treats her well. What's more, she no longer has to be controlled by my brother and his family. She will be happy and this is a good thing."
Aunt Lin wiped away her tears and replied hoarsely, "I know, I'm just feeling sorry for her."
Uncle Lin let out a sigh but said nothing. After the two of them closed the gate, they returned to their room.
At the sa ti, Jiang Ziyu was observing his wife as they walked to Li Lingyun's house. He didn't know what she had talked about with her parents and noticed her swollen eyes when she ca out from the bedroom.
He never had any relationships before and was not close with won. Even with his own mother and sister, he was awkward. So when he saw her crying, he didn't know how to coax her.
While he was racking his brain, Lin ifeng cald down after she took several deep breaths. She wiped away her tears and looked at the dark sky. Even though the moon was shrouded by clouds, she still saw the bright ring and the stars.
Looking at the bright flashlight illuminating the dark road, she smiled and thought that it was good to have soone accompany her on this dark road.
The illumination of the flashlight was so bright that she could even see the surroundings. She turned to look at her husband and lost in thoughts.
He ca into her life like a whirlwind and brought her hope for the future. Even if he told her that he only wanted a wife to shield him from his mother's urging and their marriage was a re transaction, she still wanted to live a good life with him.
When she thought that the man she would spend the rest of her life with was him, she didn't feel sad or disgusted. On the contrary, when she thought about them having children together, a smile appeared on her face.
Jiang Ziyu didn't know his wife's little thoughts. When he saw her smiling at him, he returned the smile. Looking at his wife, he thought that she was really good-looking. She was small and looked soft—it must have felt nice to hug her.

Thirty minutes later, the two of them arrived at Li Lingyun's house. When they entered the yard, they saw the Li brothers and Pan ijia loading bags and bamboo baskets into the cart.
Seeing them coming, Pan ijia said, "Sister-in-law, I have prepared so breakfast for you and my brother-in-law. You can have it on the road."
Lin ifeng smiled at her and replied, "Thank you, Sister-in-law."
Jiang Ziyu placed his wife's small bag on the cart and said, "We should depart now."
Li Chenmo nodded and said, "Brother Jiang, you can use my second brother's bicycle. We will use mine."
"Okay," Jiang Ziyu readily agreed.
Jiang Ziyu rode the bicycle with his wife sitting on the back, while Li Chenmo rode his bicycle with his second brother sitting on the back.
With his long legs, Li Lingyun's feet were touching the ground, making it hard for Li Chenmo to pedal the bicycle.
The two brothers looked at each other for a mont, and Li Chenmo suggested, "Second Brother, how about you sit on the cart?"
Li Lingyun looked at the cart and imdiately refused, "No way."
After a round of bickering, they ended up with Li Chenmo's legs resting on the front bar, while Li Lingyun pedaled the bicycle. So, one was controlling the bicycle and the other was pedaling.
Standing at the gate, Pan ijia watched her husband sit uncomfortably on the back seat while grumbling. She shook her head and said, "Turns out, having long legs also has its disadvantages."
After they had left, she locked the gate and returned to her room to sleep. She had woken up not long after midnight and had been busy in the kitchen. Now, she felt the tiredness washing over her body.
When the sun rose on the eastern horizon, Li Chenmo and his group arrived at the train station. Jiang Ziyu parked the bicycle and walked over to the Li brothers.
Since his vinyl bags had been used as paynt for his friend's help, he could only use bamboo baskets now. He carried the bamboo basket on his back and slung his cotton bags over his shoulders.
Seeing that her husband was carrying so many things, Lin ifeng carried her own small bag on her shoulder and held the small bamboo basket with her left hand.
