Knowing his wife's personality, Li Lingyun simply nodded and said, "Wife, rember to bring the pork from the kitchen when you go."

Before he could finish speaking, his wife had already disappeared into the backyard. He only heard her voice in the distance.

"Okay!"

Jiang Ziyu chuckled at his friend's helpless expression. Patting him on the shoulder, he said, "It's hard on you, Ah Yun."

Li Lingyun swatted his friend's hand off his shoulder and said, "If you manage to get Lin ifeng to accept you, you will have the sa headaches as ."

"Well, that girl looks more mature and calm than your wife. I'm sure I won't have the blessing of experiencing your headaches," Jiang Ziyu laughed.

Hearing his friend's teasing tone, Li Lingyun kicked his leg jokingly and said, "Stop talking and get to work."

Jiang Ziyu knew when to stop, so after being kicked, he laughed but still went back to work.

After placing the pork into a bamboo basket, Pan ijia tidied up her hair and clothes before heading to Lu Jueyu's house.

Instead of taking the main road, she used the path near the river. The distance was shorter, and she could check for wild berries along the way.

As she walked, she noticed that the wild berry bushes had been picked clean and sighed. The children hadn't even spared the unripe berries.

Before long, she arrived at Lu Jueyu's house. She knocked on the backyard gate and called out, "Third sister-in-law, are you ho?"

There was no bell on the backyard gate, but since the kitchen was nearby, her voice could be heard clearly. Monts later, Li Chenmo stepped out from the kitchen and opened the gate.

Seeing her, he asked, "Second sister-in-law, what brings you here?"

"Third brother, is your wife ho?" Pan ijia asked.

"My wife is taking a nap. Do you need anything?" he replied.

Hearing this, Pan ijia hesitated, then decided not to disturb her sister-in-law.

She handed over the bamboo basket and said, "Third brother, this is pork for your family. When my sister-in-law wakes up, please tell her I have sothing important to discuss with her."

Li Chenmo accepted the pork, but before he could say a word, his wife's voice was heard from behind.

"Second sister-in-law, do you need sothing?"

Seeing her, Pan ijia said, "Third sister-in-law, sorry for disturbing your rest."

Lu Jueyu smiled and replied, "I was just taking a nap, and I'm awake now. Co in."

The two of them had been best friends before becoming sisters-in-law, so Pan ijia wasn't overly reserved with her—unlike when she visited Zhang Dongi.

Since his wife had spoken, Li Chenmo returned to the kitchen to check on his cooking while Lu Jueyu led Pan ijia to the living room near the backyard.

After they took their seats, Lu Jueyu poured a cup of honey water for Pan ijia and asked, "Second sister-in-law, I heard you say you wanted to discuss sothing important. What is it?"

Pan ijia took a sip of honey water before explaining, "Third sister-in-law, I need your help. You have a good relationship with Aunt Lin, don't you?"

Lu Jueyu nodded and asked, "What can I help you with?"

"It's like this. You know my husband's friend is staying at my house, right? Just now, Aunt Lin's niece ca to barter vegetables with ."

"My husband's friend is interested in her and asked to help him talk to Aunt Lin. You know I'm not good at these things, so I was hoping you could help convey his intentions to the Lin family."

After hearing her words, Lu Jueyu thought for a mont, and the image of a shy girl flashed in her mind. She didn't know much about her third brother-in-law's friend's personality, so she hesitated to help.

Noticing her expression, Pan ijia added, "Third sister-in-law, Brother Jiang might look rough and uneducated, but you know he is actually capable and strong-minded. Sister ifeng is timid and has a weak personality—she needs soone to lead her."

"If you compare their personalities, they are actually quite compatible. The only problem is whether Sister ifeng is willing to follow Brother Jiang to Yunnan."

Hearing this, Lu Jueyu sighed and said, "The issue isn't whether Sister ifeng is willing—it's the bride price her family will ask for."

"I believe Brother Jiang can afford it," Pan ijia said confidently.

Over the past few days, she has seen how skilled Jiang Ziyu is in business. Besides working with them, he had also struck another deal with Houzi. Money was the least of his concerns when it ca to marriage.

"Even if Brother Jiang is willing to pay, I doubt the Lin family would agree to let Sister ifeng move so far away—especially once they find out her husband is capable and well-off," Lu Jueyu said.

Pan ijia had heard gossip about Lin ifeng's family and knew that one reason no one had proposed to her wasn't just her age—it was also her greedy family.

No one wanted in-laws who would suck them dry.

"So, what should we do? It would be a sha for Sister ifeng to miss out on a good man like Brother Jiang," Pan ijia said.

After a mont of silence, Lu Jueyu suggested, "How about we visit Aunt Lin and ask for her opinion?"

Pan ijia thought for a mont and nodded. "That sounds like the best option for now."

"When do you want to go?" she asked.

Before Lu Jueyu could answer, Li Chenmo entered the living room and said, "Second sister-in-law, my wife needs to eat lunch. How about you head back first, and once we are done, I will go with her to find you?"

The rich aroma of braised pork filled the air, making Pan ijia's stomach rumble. She quickly stood up and said, "Okay then, I need to go back for lunch too."

With that, she left without waiting for their response. Seeing her leave in a hurry, Lu Jueyu chuckled and said, "Even after getting married, she is still such a foodie."

Li Chenmo smiled and replied, "She has soone to feed her now. Don't worry about her—let's eat first."
