Hearing his brother's words, Li Lingyun laughed and said, "My friend ca to check out the fertilizer you have been making."

Li Chenmo frowned slightly and asked, "Why is he suddenly interested in my fertilizer?"

"Well, he tasted the vegetables I grew at ho and wanted to know what made them grow so well. When I told him about your fertilizer, he wanted to discuss a deal with you," Li Lingyun explained.

Standing behind them, Jiang Ziyu watched with a smile as the brothers whispered to each other. When they finally turned back to him, he said, "I hope I haven't made things difficult for you, Brother Chenmo."

Li Chenmo smiled and replied, "Not at all. Since you are here, how about lending a hand, Brother Jiang?"

Since he was the one asking for a favor, Jiang Ziyu didn't refuse. He nodded and agreed readily, "Alright."

Before long, Li Chenze arrived with Chen Jianmin and Chen Jianguo. Noticing the unfamiliar man, they nodded in greeting before getting to work.

With an extra pair of hands, they finished cleaning the pigpen faster than usual. Today, they used three carts to transport the manure to the mountain pits.

Twenty minutes later, after placing the cart's handle down, Li Lingyun turned to his brother and said, "Third Brother, I heard the brigade ca to collect all the fertilizer again. Do we have enough left for our own use?"

Li Chenmo put down the cart and walked to the pit. Checking inside, he found that two of the pits, which had previously been filled with fertilizer, were now empty.

Turning around, he sighed and said, "The fertilizer has been taken. The rest will need two to three more days before it's ready."

Hearing this, Li Lingyun let out a sigh as well and said, "The brigade really isn't leaving anything for you."

Li Chenmo chuckled at his brother's words and replied, "That can't be helped. Because of the food shortage, the amount of feed given to the livestock has been reduced. As a result, there is less manure."

"The lack of fertilizer during this period will affect next year's harvest. It's understandable that the brigade is trying to get as much as possible to prepare the soil for autumn planting."

Just as he finished speaking, he noticed Jiang Ziyu walking toward the pit to take a closer look.

After observing the full pit for a mont, Jiang Ziyu asked, "Brother Chenmo, how did you process your fertilizer so that it doesn't have a bad sll?"

Hearing this, even Li Lingyun beca curious and turned his attention to his third brother.

Li Chenmo had expected this question. After all, no matter how manure was processed, there was always an unpleasant odor.

"Actually, I mix in rotten leaves and a special dicinal herb powder during the process. The dicinal herbs not only reduce the sll, but they also improve the fertilizer's quality, which is why the results are so effective," he explained.

Both Li Lingyun and Jiang Ziyu were surprised by this revelation. Li Lingyun looked at his brother in disbelief and asked, "Third Brother, does your wife know how extravagant you are? You are actually using valuable dicinal herbs to make fertilizer!"

Hearing this, Li Chenmo chuckled and replied, "Second Brother, this was my wife's idea."

The mont he heard this, Li Lingyun was speechless.

Seeing his Second Brother's expressions, Li Chenmo continued, "You know how much she loves making ointnts and costics. I often accompany her into the mountains to gather herbs."

"A few months ago, we found so plants we had never seen before. She was curious, so she picked a few to take ho. Since we didn't know what effects they had, she ground them into powder and mixed them with water to test them. She used the mixture to water the peach tree." At his words, Li Lingyun's eyes flickered as he asked, "Is that why the dead peach tree in your yard suddenly ca back to life and even bore fruit?"

Nodding, Li Chenmo continued, "Once we were sure the herbs benefited the tree, we used them in our vegetable garden. But using them this way consud a lot of our stock."

"So, my wife suggested adding the powder to the fertilizer instead. We never expected that this thod would not only enhance the fertilizer's quality but also eliminate the bad sll. The rest, you already know," he said with a smile.

Hearing this, Li Lingyun fell silent. His previous suspicions now made sense. No wonder his third brother's vegetables grew better than his, even though they both used the sa water and fertilizer.

"Brother Chenmo, do you still have any of those dicinal herbs?" Jiang Ziyu asked suddenly.

Shaking his head, Li Chenmo sighed and said, "We only found a few stalks back then, and we have almost used them up. My wife and I plan to go to the mountains again to search for more. If possible, we would like to cultivate them at ho to ensure a steady supply. But we don't know if we will be lucky enough to find them again."

Hearing this, Jiang Ziyu felt a pang of regret. If he could get his hands on those dicinal herbs, it would only be a matter of ti before he dominated Yunnan City's agricultural market.

Noticing Jiang Ziyu's expression, Li Chenmo pretended not to see it. Instead, he focused on his work, pouring the manure from his cart into the empty pit.

Seeing that they were lost in thoughts, he said, "Second Brother, it's getting late. Let's finish up and head back. My wife is waiting for at ho."

At his words, Li Lingyun and Jiang Ziyu quickly emptied their carts and gathered so rotten leaves. After tossing the leaves into the pit, they watched as Li Chenmo poured a bucket of water over them and stirred the mixture.

Once he was done, he evenly distributed another bucket of the solution into the other pits before giving the fertilizer one final stir. When he was done, he said, "That's it. Let's go."
