Hearing Zhang Dongi's words, Pan ijia nodded and replied, "My parents ntioned wanting to explore the village. I'm sure they will enjoy their ti here."
When Li Lingyun joined them, the three of them went inside while Li Chenze continued washing the clothes.
In the house, Father Li was playing chess alone. Anticipating his second son and daughter-in-law's visit, he had dressed in new clothes.
"Father," the couple greeted him in unison.
Father Li nodded and studied them. Seeing his second son's radiant expression, he smiled inwardly.
'It seems their relationship is going well,' he thought.
After they sat down, Zhang Dongi suggested, "Second brother, Second sister-in-law, why not stay for lunch? The salted duck eggs should be ready today."
Noticing his wife's eyes brightened at the words salted duck eggs, Li Lingyun chuckled and replied, "Then we won't be polite and stay for lunch, sister-in-law."
Waving her hand, Zhang Dongi said, "Aiya, there is no need to be polite with family. I prepared these salted duck eggs for my second sister-in-law."
Hearing this, Pan ijia smiled and said, "Thank you, eldest sister-in-law."
"No problem. Both of you talk with Father, I will go work first," Zhang Dongi said before she left.
After she left, Father Li looked at his second son and said, "Second son, since you have three days off, take your in-laws to town for a visit."
"I will take them to the town tomorrow, Father," Li Lingyun agreed.
Recalling their gifts, Pan ijia placed the packages on the table and said, "Father, we brought so gifts for you and the others."
Father Li glanced at the gifts and nodded with a smile, "Mhmm, thank you."
Both Father Li and his son were n of few words. Sitting with them, Pan ijia felt increasingly awkward, as though sitting on pins and needles.
Finally unable to bear it, she said, "Father, I will go help my sister-in-law."
Sensing her discomfort, Father Li nodded and said, "Go ahead."
As if being pardoned, Pan ijia quickly went to find her eldest sister-in-law. She would rather work than sit in this awkward situation for a mont longer.
With nothing else to do, Li Lingyun went to assist his brother, leaving Father Li alone with his chessboard in the living room.
While everyone was busy with their work, Lu Jueyu and Li Chenmo arrived at Han Yuheng's house.
Seeing the gate open, Li Chenmo rode into the yard and parked his bicycle near the well. afterwards, Lu Jueyu ca down from the back seat, walked to the door, knocked, and called out, "Hello, anyone at ho?"
After waiting for a while, she didn't hear any response from inside. Since it seed no one was ho, she walked to the backyard while calling, "Team leader? Sister-in-law? Are you at ho?"
Not long after she spoke, Bai Luyun's voice ca from the kitchen, "Who is it?"
Seeing her, Lu Jueyu greeted her with a smile, "Good morning, sister-in-law."
When Bai Luyun saw Lu Jueyu, she was montarily surprised. But, she still greeted her with a smile, "Sister-in-law, what brings you here today? Do you need anything?"
"Sister-in-law, my husband and I are looking for Brother Han. Is he at ho?" Lu Jueyu asked.
"My husband is not at ho at the mont. What can I do for you?" Bai Luyun asked again.
"Well, we co to thank you and Brother Han for helping us with the wedding preparation."
"I see," Bai Luyun nodded. "Let's go to the living room for a chat then," she added.
"Okay," Lu Jueyu nodded and followed her.
As they walked, Lu Jueyu noticed that Bai Luyun looked much better than the last ti she had seen her. The depressing and gloomy aura that had surrounded her was gone, and the sadness etched into her features had been replaced by a sense of relaxation and a bright smile.
Seeing her like this, Lu Jueyu suddenly recalled Bai Luyun's fate in the original plot.
After giving birth to her son, her daughter had been found dead due to blood loss from being heavily injured, at the mountain foothills. Overco with grief, Bai Luyun fell ill, and after being bedridden for a year, she eventually passed away.
As for Han Yuheng, in the original plot, he remarried six months after his wife's death. His new wife was the sister of a brigade staff mber.
With his brother-in-law's help, he got a promotion and was assigned as a town staff. Following his promotion, he left the village and moved to the town with his son, disappearing from the story altogether.
Reflecting on the original plot and comparing it to the current situation, Lu Jueyu realized that this life, this world, and these people felt far more real than any storyline.
All this ti, she thought she had regarded this world as her real world, but deep down, she still regarded most of these people as fictitious characters. Only now did she fully realize that these people were alive, just like her and her husband. Their lives and futures are determined not by the author, but by themselves.
The mont she reached this conclusion, the fog in the sky in her space began to stir. Simultaneously, the red jade lying at the bottom of the lake in her space started absorbing the fog at an astonishing speed.
As the fog was drawn into the lake, a golden stream of energy poured into the water, soil, and air. While the golden energy increased the spiritual energy within her space, a portion was absorbed by the red jade. The once lackluster gem now shone brightly, as though it had co alive.
The red jade humd and trembled with excitent as it grew from the size of a pebble to that of a baseball and still continued growing at an astonishing speed. As the jade continued to expand, Lu Jueyu felt a wave of dizziness. Assuming it was due to fatigue, she brushed it off without much thought.
Although her mind was filled with countless thoughts, in fact, it happened in less than a few seconds.
