Hearing her husband's question, Lu Jueyu ca back to her senses. She shook her head and said with a smile, "It's nothing."
Hearing this, Li Chenmo looked at his wife's expression thoughtfully. Since she didn't tell him, then he wouldn't ask.
anwhile, the middle-aged man's face turned beet red with anger and embarrassnt as the neighbors' accusations escalated. He glanced at his niece with an urge to strangle her.
If not for her scheming, would he have co to check on Lu Jueyu? If he hadn't co, he wouldn't have ended up in such a humiliating situation!
His anger surged as the crowd's accusations continued. Driven by frustration and sha, he raised his hand and slapped the young woman.

The loud sound startled everyone, silencing the cursing and scolding at once.
The young woman's cheek turned red, a clear palm print marking her swelling face. She reached up to touch it, flinching at the sting.
With tears in her eyes, she stared at her uncle in disbelief and asked, "Uncle, how could you hit ?"
The middle-aged man felt a twinge of guilt initially, but it quickly disappeared when he saw the accusation and hatred in her eyes. Pointing at her, he shouted, "So what if I hit you? If not for you, would I be in this ss?"
"You were lusting after another woman's husband and asked to 'take care' of her. Now that I'm caught up in this, you dare to stand by while others ruin my reputation?"
"I only slapped you once—that is already showing you rcy! From today onwards, pack up your things and go back to your parents' house! My family cannot have anything to do with soone with evil intentions like you!"
Gasps rippled through the crowd when the neighbors heard his words. No one had expected such a revelation—this woman was truly shaless and corrupt! Not only did she plot against other won, she also sacrificed her uncle to protect her own reputation!
As more neighbors gathered to watch the spectacle, Li Lingyun gave his third brother a aningful glance. Catching on quickly, Li Chenmo held his wife's hand and quietly led her away from the commotion.
Once they were a safe distance away, they turned back briefly to see the uncle and niece tearing into each other.
Shaking her head, Lu Jueyu looked at Li Lingyun and said, "Second Brother, your thods are far too ruthless."
Hearing this, Li Lingyun chuckled and replied, "For people like them, this is the easiest way to handle things. It's better to deal with troublemakers decisively than let them fester. After this, I'm sure that man won't dare to bother us or my in-laws again."
Hearing this, Lu Jueyu smiled but said nothing. Perhaps her heart wasn't hard enough to make the sa decisions as her second brother-in-law. She knew so people didn't deserve pity, but she couldn't bring herself to spread rumors that might cost soone their life.
As the three of them walked into the building, the security guards had already arrived to diate the argunt between the young woman and the middle-aged man. As for the outco, the Li family didn't care to know.
Due to the earlier commotion, they didn't reach the Pan family's house until 9:10 AM.
Li Lingyun knocked on the door, and after a mont, his wife opened it with a warm smile.
"Brother Yun, you are finally here," Pan ijia said with joy in her voice.
She then turned to her friend and added, "Jueyu, Brother-in-law, please co in."
When they entered, they were taken aback to find the living room filled with the Pan family's female relatives.
Standing behind their wives, Li Chenmo and Li Lingyun exchanged helpless glances. Clearly, the two of them wouldn't get much ti with their wives today. Surrounded by so many won, they would need to leave soon to avoid stirring up rumors.
With that in mind, Li Lingyun gently pulled his wife aside, leading her to the doorway. After glancing around to ensure no one was watching, he leaned down to kiss her lightly. It was a brief kiss, but tender yet intense.
He stroked her cheek and said with reluctance, "Since you have guests today, I will leave now. We are leaving tomorrow at 4 AM, so make sure to sleep early. I will co to pick you up."
Still flustered from the kiss, Pan ijia nodded shyly, "I will prepare so breakfast for you tomorrow."
Li Lingyun gave her another quick kiss and smiled, "Okay."
Inside the house, Li Chenmo handed a bamboo basket to his wife and said, "Wife, I should go now. I will co to pick you up this afternoon."
Knowing her husband felt uncomfortable around so many won, Lu Jueyu nodded. She pulled out a purse from her pocket and handed it to him.
"There are a few thousand yuan and so coupons inside. You can go to the departnt store and buy so toys for the children," she whispered.
Accepting the purse, Li Chenmo nodded and said aningfully, "Okay, have fun."
Chuckling at his words, Lu Jueyu replied, "Don't worry, husband, I will."
After all, both of them knew the purpose of her visit today. She was ready to enjoy "butchering" so wallets.
With a brief nod to the other won as a farewell, Li Chenmo left. Outside, he saw his second brother hugging Pan ijia and whispering sothing with a smug smile.
Clearing his throat loudly, he said, "Second Brother, it's ti for us to leave."
Startled by the interruption, Pan ijia pushed Li Lingyun away and stamred, "W-well, see you tomorrow."
Watching his "silly rabbit" run away, Li Lingyun glared at his third brother.
"Your timing is impeccable!" he grumbled.
Grinning mischievously, Li Chenmo said, "Well, who told you to act like a beast in public? I'm just doing my duty to remind you. It will be bad if soone reports you."
The two brothers bickered like teenagers as they left, eventually deciding to go on a shopping spree—per Lu Jueyu's instructions.
