It was rare for their community to hold a wedding banquet since most people opted for a family dinner at the state-owned restaurant. At most, neighbors would receive one or two wedding candies.

Hearing this, Pan ijia nodded. Turning around, she looked at her mother and said, "Mother, let's go back. Brother Yun has sothing to discuss with us."

Mother Pan nodded and thought for a mont before she said, "There is a warehouse near the public kitchen. When we go to borrow the hall, we can borrow the warehouse too. We can lock it, so there is no need to worry about anyone stealing the ingredients."
Hearing this, Li Lingyun nodded and said, "Then I will bring the ingredients on the 11th."
"Good," Mother Pan said, wondering how many ingredients the Li family had prepared.
Sensing the couple had things to discuss, she stood up and said, "I will go prepare lunch. Ah Yun, stay and join us."
Li Lingyun nodded with a smile, "Thank you, Mother."
After Mother Pan went to the kitchen, Li Lingyun sat beside his girlfriend, took her hand, and played with her fingers.
"Jia Er, how have you been these past two days?" he asked.
"I'm a bit tired from delivering the invitations, but it's manageable. We have sent them out to relatives and close friends. Now, only my father and brothers need to send the invitations to their comrades and superiors."
Hearing this, Li Lingyun nodded. Thinking about the place he saw when he visited the departnt store before, he said, "Jia Er, I saw there is a place near the departnt store where we can take a wedding photo. How about we go take one?"
Pan ijia's eyes lit up with excitent the mont she heard her boyfriend's words. She had heard from her mother's cousin that taking a wedding photo was now a new trend in the capital.
She also wanted a photo with her boyfriend, but she had forgotten to bring it up and didn't expect him to suggest it.

Li Lingyun's eyes were full of warmth when he saw how happy his girlfriend was. He puckered his lips and gave her a aningful look.
Understanding his request, Pan ijia glanced at the kitchen, where her mother was busy cooking. Gathering her courage, she kissed him on the lips. But before she could pull away, he held the back of her head and nipped at her lips.
"You–" she protested softly at the sudden bite.
Before she could say more, he deepened the kiss, savoring every mont. The kiss was like a storm—intense and brief.
Though he wanted more, Li Lingyun knew he could only steal a taste with his mother-in-law in the house. After another peck, he reluctantly released her.
