Pan Chiyan nodded and followed him. When they ca down, he saw a truck parked near the building's entrance, with neighbors gathering around it curiously.
His sister had told him that the Li family would prepare betrothal gifts to be delivered on the proposal day, so he had cleared out a room to store them. However, he hadn't expected them to use a truck. Just how many gifts had they prepared?
Despite his curiosity, Pan Chiyan maintained a calm expression.
When they reached the back of the truck, he finally saw the amount of gifts, and his calm deanor faltered as he looked at the young man and asked, "Are all these betrothal gifts?"
The young man nodded and said, "Brother-in-law, these are all the betrothal gifts Brother Lingyun prepared for my sister-in-law."
As he spoke, the neighbors erupted in lively discussion. Many had known that the Pan family would be receiving guests from afar, but they hadn't expected their future in-laws to be so generous.
Although Pan Chiyan was surprised, he quickly regained his composure. He looked at everyone and said with a smile, "Brothers, I would bother you to help in bringing these items to my house."

They then began unloading the gifts from the truck and carrying them to the Pan family's house.

They saw a bicycle, a radio, a sewing machine, several pairs of leather shoes, and a box of clothing were carried to Pan family's house. There were also eight betrothal boxes, fabric, cotton, wine, and other luxury goods.

The young man quickly waved his hands and replied, "Aunty, thank you for your invitation. But we still have to go back to work, so we won't stay any longer."
