Not long after, the bus arrived. Li Chenmo and his family got in the line and boarded the bus. Since it was during work hours, the bus was not as crowded as yesterday. After Lu Jueyu paid the fare, they found seats near the window.
This was Father Li and Dong Li's first ti in the capital, and both were in awe when they looked out the window.

While she felt disappointed, Father Li and Dong Li were astonished as they stared at the building with wide eyes.

Father Li ca back to his senses and coughed to hide his embarrassnt. He nodded and said, "Alright."
The departnt store had good ventilation, and the temperature inside was much cooler. Once inside, Father Li sighed in relief and said, "It's so comfortable here."
As soon as he finished his words, they heard a sneer. Li Chenmo turned with a frown and saw a middle-aged woman with a younger woman nearby. Since they were won, he only frowned and said nothing.
Noticing them too, Lu Jueyu said, "Father, while it's comfortable here, the air isn't as fresh as back ho."
Father Li took a deep breath but he did not notice anything odd with the air and said, "Third Daughter-in-law, the air isn't bad here."
When her father-in-law finished speaking, Lu Jueyu's eyes widened in surprise as she asked, "Father, didn't you sll that rotten stench? It was so bad that I thought soone had defecated here."
When she said these words, she looked directly at the middle-aged woman and sneered.
The woman realized Lu Jueyu was talking about her and felt angry. She pointed her fingers at them and wanted to curse. But before she could do that, her daughter-in-law held her back, and said in a low voice, "Mother, this is a public place. Father just warned us yesterday to behave."
As the daughter-in-law of the Xiao family, it was her first ti being humiliated like this. What made her even more angry was that the other party dared to say that she had a bad mouth despite being a villager.
But despite her anger, she didn't want to jeopardize her husband's career prospects by making a scene in a public place during this critical period.

Hearing this, Father Li nodded and said, "Let's go."
When the store assistant saw them approaching, she looked at their old clothes briefly but showed no disdain. Instead, she smiled and gestured for them to enter, "Welco, comrades."
