Is he crazy?! This is the issue I have with him. His inability to understand soone. Gabe thought inwardly with slight anger written all over his face.

"Huh?" Gabe frowned deeply, confusion flashing across his face. "What do you an by that?"

He scoffed and shook his head slightly.

"I can’t just follow you right now. I still have things to take care of at ho. I’ll definitely co to your office tomorrow after I sort so things out," Gabe added firmly. "So can you just leave now?"

Outwardly, his expression remained composed, but inwardly, his thoughts were anything but calm.

I know you can’t wait to have back in your so-called playground again... to cross lines we shouldn’t be crossing, Gabe thought bitterly. But right now, I’m not in the mood for that. Even if my body betrays , I’ll have to decline.

His jaw tightened.

I need to focus on Sabe for now. I need to see who he’s planning to fra for the fetalyn case. Only then will I finally have so peace of mind.

"Can you just follow ?" Alex said suddenly, his voice cutting through Gabe’s thoughts. "I’m not asking you to co to my office or my house. I just want to take you sowhere."

Gabe’s eyes widened slightly in surprise.

"Sowhere I’ve already prepared for you," Alex added, his tone low but deliberate.

"And where exactly is that?" Gabe asked warily, suspicion lacing his voice. "Can’t it wait till so other ti Alex?"

"Just follow please," Alex replied calmly. "You’ll see and you’re not going to regret it."

I feel like strangling him right now. Why is he getting on my nerves like seriously?!

For a mont, Gabe hesitated. Then, with a slow exhale, he nodded.

Fine then. It’s not like he’ll let leave even if I refuse, Gabe thought with a heavy sigh. And... I might as well see him this one last ti before things get extrely complicated with Sabe.

"Alright then, Alex," Gabe finally said. "Let’s go."

Alex nodded in response, visibly satisfied. He opened the car door, carefully helped Gabe inside, and placed the wheelchair into the trunk before getting into the driver’s seat and pulling away.

---

Throughout the drive, Gabe kept his gaze fixed on the passing scenery outside the window—cars rushing by, traffic lights blinking, people moving about their lives. He didn’t spare Alex even a single glance.

Alex, anwhile, drove with one hand on the steering wheel, a soft, almost relieved smile resting on his face.

"Are you okay?" Alex finally asked, breaking the silence. "You don’t look like yourself today. You’re unusually quiet."

"Am I?" Gabe raised an eyebrow and let out a dry scoff. "It’s nothing, Alex."

"Well," Alex said after a brief pause, "we’re here."

The car slowed to a stop.

Gabe turned his head toward the window—and froze.

They were parked in front of a magnificent hotel, towering and elegant, its entrance bustling with people. Foreigners and locals alike moved in and out, dressed neatly, laughing, talking.

"Huh?" Gabe muttered, turning back to Alex. "A hotel?"

He scoffed sharply. "Just what the hell are we doing here?"

What the fuck is he planning? Gabe scread inwardly. I literally said I’m not interested in crossing boundaries right now—so why bring to a hotel?!

He rubbed his face with his palm in frustration.

"Let’s go," Alex said simply as he stepped out of the car and walked over to Gabe’s side.

Before Gabe could protest, Alex opened the door and lifted him up—effortlessly—carrying him in a bridal style.

Shock slamd into Gabe like a wave.

"What the fuck are you doing?!" Gabe hissed. "Put down and get my wheelchair. People are staring!"

His voice dropped into a whisper as he noticed several curious gazes turning in their direction.

"Why?" Alex raised an eyebrow with a scoff. "I want to carry you like this. Is there sothing wrong with that?"

I really missed you, Alex thought inwardly, holding Gabe closer. I hate that you’re always with Sabe now. And now that I finally have you to myself...

I need to do things that make you forget him.

Not just therapy. Not just desire. But things that touch your heart—things that he never did for you.

"Do you realize I’m still married to Sabe?" Gabe snapped quietly, irritation seeping into his tone. "He’s popular. People know both of us. There could be reporters anywhere."

His fingers curled against Alex’s coat.

"I don’t want a scandal right now. So put down. Now."

"Relax," Alex replied calmly. "There are no reporters here. And even if sothing happens, I’ll handle it."

With that, he walked into the hotel, still carrying Gabe despite the lingering stares.

---

Once inside, Alex moved swiftly toward the elevator and up to one of the higher floors. Gabe pressed his face lightly against Alex’s chest, refusing to look around or et anyone’s gaze.

Soon, Alex stopped in front of a door, unlocked it, and stepped inside.

He gently set Gabe down on a nearby chair.

Only then did Gabe open his eyes.

The room was painted entirely white, dimly lit with only a single warm light glowing overhead. Rose petals were scattered everywhere—from the floor to the king-sized bed. In front of him was a table filled with dishes that looked almost too luxurious to touch.

At the far end of the room, a keyboard stood. A man dressed in a black suit sat there, playing soft, romantic notes that filled the air.

"Huh?" Gabe muttered, stunned. "What... is all this?"

He scoffed quietly and looked up at Alex. "You actually did all this? Why?"

"Why?" Alex echoed, raising an eyebrow with a faint scoff. "You don’t like the decorations? You can tell if you don’t then we can go to another place."

"I do," Gabe admitted with a heavy sigh, his shoulders slumping slightly. "But I still don’t understand the reason for all this."

His eyes drifted around the room again—the rose petals, the lavish spread of food, the dim lighting.

"These decorations... the food," he continued slowly. "I really don’t get it. What exactly are you planning right now, Alex?"

"I just want you to relax, okay?" Alex replied, his voice serious but gentle. "Just you and here."

He gestured lightly toward the table.

"We should eat, talk, and just... have fun for once. I know you haven’t eaten properly today, right? You must be hungry. So let’s sit down and eat."

"Have fun?" Gabe raised an eyebrow, followed by a scoff.

"Yes—fun," Alex repeated, a warm smile spreading across his face. "Is there a problem with that?"

"You an fucking my ass with your dick this ti around, huh?" Gabe shot back sharply, raising an eyebrow. "That’s your definition of fun, right?"

He scoffed again, irritation lacing his voice.

"You think I’ve got ti for this nonsense? You set up a room like this—rose petals on the floor, a bed clearly ant for sothing else." His gaze hardened. "Have you forgotten that you’re my therapist?"

He leaned back slightly, frustration bubbling over.

"Everything that happens between us is supposed to be based on therapy sessions. So why the hell does a romantically decorated room co into the picture?"

Gabe dragged a hand down his face, his thoughts spiraling.

Even if anyone was supposed to do sothing like this... if anyone wanted sothing more... it should be , not you. I should be the one making these moves, not my therapist.

"You’re getting everything wrong, Gabe," Alex said firmly, his tone serious now. "I didn’t bring you here to sleep with you—or anything like that. I already told you why I bought you here and that’s for you to relax."

He t Gabe’s eyes without flinching.

"And yes, I know that whatever exists between us is strictly within therapy. decorating this room is simply ant to help you relax. That’s all."

Alex took a small breath.

"I know how stressed you are because of Sabe. The investigation, the pressure, the danger—it’s all weighing on you. I wanted you to feel safe for once. To be free here. To open up to as your therapist. You may have things I can help with, you may have things you want to discuss with afterall."

"Be free with you," Gabe muttered with a scoff, "and then sohow it still ends with in your bed."

There was a brief silence.

Alright... I believe you, Alex, I knew you didn’t bring here to fuck , Gabe thought inwardly, his lips curling into a faint, unreadable smirk. But I still have to do this.

I need to push you away for a while.

He clenched his fingers against the armrest.

I need to sort things out with Sabe first. I don’t want to drag you into this ss. This stage between and Sabe is dangerous—and I know it.

Soone is going to die eventually.

And I won’t let that soone be you.
