"If they really wanted you dead, then they wouldn’t have called the ergency line using your phone," Alex said flatly, rolling his eyes away in irritation. "It’s obvious the person realized their mistake on ti and quickly called for help." He paused, his tone firm and analytical. "The ti tally matches perfectly....the ti you were attacked and the ti the ergency call was placed."
"What if it was a different person who called for help?" Damien snapped, raising an eyebrow with anger flashing clearly across his face. "That’s also possible, isn’t it? Or are you saying that can’t happen?"
"Oh no," Alex replied dryly, turning back to him with a sharp look. "Did you suddenly go dumb because you were attacked?" He scoffed openly. "You can’t even rember the face of the person who attacked you despite being an alpha. So honestly, what exactly do you expect to think?"
"I may not rember their face because they probably never showed it," Damien shot back imdiately, his voice serious and defensive. "They could’ve hit from behind."
"Well," Alex shrugged, unfazed, "you were on rut after all. That alone makes you weaker than usual." He exhaled slowly. "Anyway, I already gave you your dication to keep you in check, since you never wanted an oga to relieve you during rut." He glanced around briefly. "And we’re in a hospital, so it’s the safest option."
The word oga struck sothing deep in Damien’s mind.
"Oga..." Damien murmured under his breath.
Without warning, the mory hit him.
That scent.
Crushed rose petals mixed with wild grape.
His breath caught as his body reacted instantly, heat flaring beneath his skin, making his chest tighten painfully.
That scent...
It belongs to an oga.
"Hey," Alex said sharply, frowning as he studied Damien’s face. "What’s wrong with you?" His brow furrowed in confusion and curiosity. "You look pale like a ghost drenched in water. Did you suddenly rember sothing, or what?"
"It’s nothing," Damien replied imdiately, forcing himself to exhale slowly. "I’m probably just thinking too much."
There’s no fucking way, he thought inwardly, his mind racing. There’s no way I was attacked by an oga. That’s bullshit.
There’s no fucking way an oga ca into my house.
But the doubt refused to fade.
Soone brought ho. I’m sure of that.
So who was it? And why can’t I rember their face?
"Thank you, Alex," Damien finally said, turning back to him with a faint smile. "I believe I can’t rember that motherfucker who attacked yet because of the injury to my head." He clenched his jaw slightly. "But I will soon. Once I rest enough, everything will co back and when it does, I’ll teach them a proper lesson."
"It’s fine," Alex replied calmly, though his tone carried a quiet seriousness. "I’m already looking into it myself." He sighed. "I’m concerned too. Whoever attacked you will be caught and punished accordingly."
"You don’t have to," Damien said imdiately.
The words sent a small shock through Alex.
"What do you an?" Alex raised an eyebrow, clearly caught off guard.
"I’ll look into it myself," Damien said firmly. "I was the one attacked. I should be the one to find out who did it."
Alex stared at him for a mont, then nodded slowly, letting out a frustrated sigh. "You really have a lot on your plate," he muttered, more to himself than to Damien.
Straightening, Alex shifted the topic. "Anyway, what would you like to eat?" he asked. "I need to get back to my office soon."
A faint blush crept up Alex’s cheeks...sothing Damien noticed imdiately.
"So you’re leaving already?" Damien asked lightly, eyes narrowing with amusent.
"And why are you blushing, sir?" Damien teased, blinking innocently. The effect was imdiate....Alex swallowed hard.
"And what exactly is wrong with your eyes?" Alex snapped back, raising an eyebrow as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Do you have a problem with them too?" He scoffed. "Should I call the doctor?"
Damien chuckled softly, though his head throbbed again as the laughter faded.
"You never felt happy going to work before," Damien said with a knowing look, followed by a burst of laughter. "But now? I guess because of Gabe... happiness is written all over your face." He tilted his head slightly. "Tell ....did sothing happen yesterday? And now you’re eager to continue this morning? Is that it?"
"Oh, stop it," Alex replied quickly, a faint blush creeping onto his cheeks despite himself. "It’s not because of him." He cleared his throat. "And for your information, I’m always excited to go to work....to et with my clients. So what the hell are you talking about?"
"Oh my goodness," Damien chuckled, clearly enjoying this. "Soone is really blushing."
He laughed again, louder this ti, until Alex grabbed a pillow from the bed and hit him squarely in the chest.
"Just tell ," Damien added with a grin, ignoring the pain in his head. "Did you guys fuck?"
"We didn’t fuck!" Alex snapped almost imdiately, his face heating up even more. "Get whatever nonsense you’re thinking right out of your head, Damien."
"Then..." Damien raised an eyebrow, curiosity sparkling in his eyes. "What did you guys do? At least you did sothing, right?"
"Are you not supposed to be thinking about who attacked you?" Alex cut in sharply, instantly shattering Damien’s curiosity. He stood up and straightened his suit. "I’ll send one of my n over to take your food order. I have to go to work now."
Without waiting for Damien’s response, Alex turned and walked out of the ward.
"That motherfucker!" Damien cursed under his breath, grabbing the pillow and throwing it toward the door.
Alex was already gone, but he still heard the curse clearly as he leaned briefly against the door outside the room, shaking his head with a faint, amused sigh.

anwhile, at Gabe’s house...
Fred sat slumped in a chair across from Gabe, his head tilted back against the wooden fra. His lips were bruised....clearly swollen from excessive kissing. Red marks littered his neck and chest, unmistakable signs of intense contact.
Love marks or rather... sex marks.
Fred was shirtless on purpose, making sure Gabe could see everything clearly.
"So..." Gabe began slowly, raising an eyebrow with open curiosity. "Did you two have sex?"
"No!!!" Fred yelled imdiately as he shot upright, anger and panic written all over his face. "Oh yeah....we almost did," he added bitterly. "If not for that flower vase, I would’ve been fucked hard."
He dragged a hand through his hair in frustration.
"And then he would’ve woken up the next morning," Fred continued, his voice shaking slightly, "talking about how much he hates ogas again. And I’d be left alone to deal with the aftermath."
Fred swallowed hard.
"My identity as an oga would’ve been revealed," he said quietly. "I would’ve been fucked... and then discarded like trash."
"How sure are you that he doesn’t rember you being an oga?" Gabe asked, raising an eyebrow skeptically. "Your pheromones alone scream oga. What makes you think he doesn’t already know?"
Gabe scoffed lightly. "I’m sure he knows."
"Oh, he wouldn’t," Fred replied, shaking his head as he let out a heavy sigh. "He was extrely drunk." He paused. "And even if he goes back to the club to ask who brought him ho, I’ll just tell him I did and that I left imdiately."
Fred shrugged faintly. "I’ll say I don’t know if anyone else ca after that. I don’t know about the caras either. He’ll buy it."
He hesitated before adding, "The part of his head I hit can cause mory loss especially since he’d been drinking heavily that night."
"What about your scent, then?" Gabe asked with a smirk. "A little trigger...sothing similar to that night might make him rember everything instantly."
"I’m never skipping my suppressant again," Fred replied firmly. "And I’ll be more focused on tracking my heat cycles. I can’t let it suddenly show up like that ever again."
He rose to his feet.
"That’s more like it," Gabe said with a light chuckle. "Still..." His gaze lingered on Fred’s bruised lips. "He kissed you so fiercely your lips split. And your neck...your body...covered in marks." Gabe tilted his head. "Tell ... d...did he also suck your dick?"
"Oh no, please," Fred said imdiately, swallowing hard. "Can you just stop asking unnecessary questions."
"Unnecessary questions huh?" Gabe teased.
Fred swallowed hard as unwanted mories flooded back....Damien grabbing his hand, pressing it against his hardened length. The sheer size of it. The way Damien stroked him too kept replaying in his head.
Fred’s face burned red instantly.
He was enjoying everything last night no doubt but then he couldn’t allow such to happen.
"I should leave now," Fred said quickly, turning away. "You should also go to Alex’s office. I believe today is another therapy session, after all."
Without waiting for Gabe’s response, Fred walked out of the room, his heart still racing.
