Jacques Louis Enon’s apology did not redeem Emile Olivier, instead it made Emile Olivier’s mouth curl into a dismissive smile.

Subsequently, Emile Olivier responded coldly, "Mr. Enon, if you could have said those words a little earlier, perhaps we wouldn’t have reached this point!

Since we’ve already co to this, what’s the use in saying nice words?"

Jacques Louis Enon’s face showed an awkward expression; how he regretted it in his heart!

If he could have stopped this conflict earlier, the outco might have been different from now.

At that ti, he also wanted to know what Jero Bonaparte said to Emile Olivier, so he chose to allow the conflict between Jules Favre and Emile Olivier.

Attempting to forcefully extract the information he wanted, but Emile Olivier’s attitude was equally resolute. To maintain the "big picture," Enon transford into a diator, easing the tension between the two!

"Olivier, in this matter I did indeed make mistakes!" Enon had no choice but to acknowledge his error, and then turned his tone toward Emile Olivier, "Haven’t you made a tiny mistake too?

Jules Favre was also thinking about the Republican faction. If another person like Alfred Dariemon appears, our cause will suffer a heavy blow!"

Enon’s impassioned speech did not change Emile Olivier’s mind; instead, it made him even more disgusted by what Enon and Jules Favre did.

Emile Olivier criticized ruthlessly, "Ultimately, your purpose is simply to use your own thods to control the Republican faction, making them tools in your hands!"

"I am not!" Enon shook his head in denial.

"We oppose the Empire because the Empire suppresses speech using autocratic ans!

However, except for the Empire’s persecution of freedom, all the Empire’s policies to date have led the Empire down a correct path.

This path may harm freedom, but it generally makes the lives of the Empire’s citizens more prosperous than those under Orleans’ Kingdom." Emile Olivier’s tone beca increasingly severe, "And what have you contributed to all the citizens of France? You have yet to take power and are already using the na of freedom to enact autocracy internally.

If you truly take power, you will beco nothing more than a second Empire."

At this point, Emile Olivier paused for a mont, shook his head to himself and said, "No! To say you’re a second Empire flatters you too much! You’re probably not even as good as the current Empire!

France, under His Majesty Jero Bonaparte, has once again beco a significant country in all of Europe.

If it were to fall into the hands of people like you, it would probably have already entered civil war!"

"Emile Olivier!" Jules Favre yelled angrily at Emile Olivier, "I warn you! Don’t go too far!

I did indeed not act well just now, but you don’t need to curse us with such venomous words!

Don’t forget, you are also one of us!"

"Favre!" Emile Olivier carefully and deliberately said to Jules Favre, "Listen to ! From now on, I, Emile Olivier, will part ways with you!

I am no longer a mber of the Republican faction, and you should not press with the so-called big picture!"

After Emile Olivier spoke, a carefree smile appeared at the corner of his mouth, while Jules Favre and Jacques Louis Enon showed unpleasant expressions.

"Alright! I should be going too!" Emile Olivier said to Jules Favre and Jacques Louis Enon provocatively, "Perhaps the next ti we et, we’ll be enemies!"

After finishing, Emile Olivier turned and left without looking back.

Only Enon and Favre remained standing dazedly in place, their complexions extrely unpleasant, with Jules Favre gritting his teeth and clenching his fists.

Right, there was also Ernest Picard, who was expressionless in face, but secretly amused in heart.

After a while, Jules Favre finally unclenched his fists and said in a lighthearted tone, "Leaving ans leaving!

We don’t lack people like him in our hands. Losing a potential bomb ready to explode at any mont is beneficial to our future developnt!"

Although Jules Favre tried to say this, everyone present knew that without Emile Olivier, the Republican faction might face big trouble.

If Emile Olivier chooses to join Alfred Dariemon’s camp, then their situation will beco worse.

"It’s ti to consider who can replace Emile Olivier!" Jacques Louis Enon also spoke to the people present.

"I do have a good candidate!" Ernest Picard said to Enon and Favre.

"Who?" Enon and Favre said synchronously.

"Forget it, forget it!" After thinking for a mont, Ernest Picard shook his head to himself, "He’s just a university student; if he were to replace him, people might laugh!"

Enon and Favre’s rekindled hope was dashed once again upon hearing "university students".

"Forget about the students!" After careful consideration, Jules Favre said to Ernest Picard, "When we gather everyone for the next eting here, we will collectively discuss who should replace Emile Olivier!"

"Didn’t Olivier accuse us of being dictators? We’ll show him democracy!"

Thus, Favre and the others decided to nominate soone to take over Emile Olivier’s duties at the next eting.

...

On the other hand, Emile Olivier, who had left the Republican Faction’s headquarters, also had no idea where he should go.

Most of what he said at the headquarters earlier was in the heat of the mont.

However, even in his anger, Emile Olivier would not choose to return to the Republican Faction.

So, Emile Olivier began to wander aimlessly through the streets, during which he was stopped and questioned by several police officers.

Since the assassination attempt on Jero Bonaparte, the police throughout Paris had beco extrely vigilant.

Under the pressure from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, they began to take such work very seriously.

After being questioned at the intersection, Emile Olivier suddenly thought of Alfred Dariemon and imdiately decided to go to Alfred Dariemon’s house to wait for him.

Thus, Emile Olivier hailed a carriage and instructed the coachman to take him near Alfred Dariemon’s mansion.

The coachman complied with Emile Olivier’s command and rushed through the streets of Paris with him.

Soon, Emile Olivier arrived near Alfred Dariemon’s mansion.

Getting off the carriage, Emile Olivier took out a silver coin and handed it to the coachman, who thanked him and then drove away.

Emile Olivier once again stood at the door of Alfred Dariemon’s mansion and knocked again on his mansion’s door.

The person who opened the door was none other than the maid who had opened the door for Emile Olivier the last ti.

She took a look at Emile Olivier at the door and quickly and respectfully said, "Mr. Olivier, is there anything you need?"

"Is your master at ho today?" Emile Olivier asked with a smile.

"Mr. Olivier, I’m afraid Mr. Alfred will be back in half an hour!" The maid stepped aside to let Emile Olivier in and then said, "Would you like to co inside and sit for a while?"

"Sorry for the trouble!" Emile Olivier nodded and quickly stepped into the mansion.

With the maid leading the way, Emile Olivier sat on the sofa in the living room.

Then the maid respectfully asked Emile Olivier, "Mr. Olivier, would you like coffee or tea?"

After thinking for a mont, Emile Olivier replied, "I’ll have a cup of black tea!"

"Certainly!" The maid followed Emile Olivier’s request.

A while later, the maid brought a teapot filled with black tea and a porcelain cup, placing the teapot and cup on the table, and personally poured a cup for Emile Olivier before leaving.

After so more ti, the maid returned again, this ti carrying so dried fruits.

"Thank you!" Olivier expressed his gratitude to the maid.

"Please wait here for a mont! Mr. Alfred will be here shortly!" the maid said to Olivier, "If you need anything, please feel free to call !"

"I understand! You can go about your duties!"

Sitting on the sofa, Olivier nodded in response to the maid.

About half an hour later, Alfred Dariemon arrived at his mansion, where he saw Emile Olivier.

"Why are you at my house?" Alfred Dariemon asked Emile Olivier in confusion.

"I have left Jules Favre’s camp!" Emile Olivier said calmly to Alfred Dariemon.

"That’s great news!" Alfred Dariemon said excitedly to Emile Olivier, "Jules Favre and the others will surely regret losing such a competent ally as you!"

"Dariemon, if I were willing to join your newly ford New Republican Party, what position would you offer ?"
