From the mont Pierre Bonaparte chose to conceal his betrayal, Jero Bonaparte had already regarded Pierre Bonaparte as a dood man.

The so-called plans were rely pretexts by Jero Bonaparte to coax Pierre Bonaparte to the Duchy of Tuscany. In reality, Jero Bonaparte was planning to use Pierre Bonaparte’s life to justify France’s territorial expansion.

Of course, the life of just Pierre Bonaparte alone would definitely not be enough to convince them.

Jero Bonaparte himself would have to take a little risk.

But these were matters for later.

Not long after Pierre Bonaparte left, as Jero Bonaparte was about to instruct his subordinates to summon Marcel Yale, Bashirio once again knocked on Jero Bonaparte’s office door.

"You’re just in ti!" Jero Bonaparte said naturally to Bashirio.

Bashirio was slightly taken aback, then respectfully inquired, "Your Majesty, please instruct !"

"Go to the National Intelligence Bureau imdiately and invite Marcel Yale to my study!" Jero Bonaparte commanded Bashirio.

"Yes, Your Majesty!" Bashirio replied, but did not set off imdiately.

Jero Bonaparte noticed Bashirio had more to report and imdiately asked, "What? Is there sothing else?"

"Princess Mathilde has already arrived!" Bashirio reported to Jero Bonaparte.

"Hmm?" Jero Bonaparte showed a slightly puzzled expression, as he really couldn’t understand why his sister had co at this ti, "Where is she now?"

"The Princess is currently with the Crown Prince!" Bashirio reported to Jero Bonaparte.

"Alright! I know!" Jero Bonaparte waved his hand at Bashirio, "You can go look for Marcel Yale now!"

Bashirio bowed to Jero Bonaparte, then left the study.

Jero Bonaparte also left the study and headed to Friedrich’s private room.

When he just reached the doorway, Jero Bonaparte imdiately heard the conversation between Princess Mathilde and Empress Augusta inside, and he quickly pressed his ear to the door crack to listen carefully to their conversation.

Princess Mathilde was asking Augusta if she was interested in making another princess with Jero Bonaparte, so that Friedrich could have a playmate.

Augusta replied to Mathilde, saying that she would certainly like to have another daughter, but such matters were not solely up to her and naturally required Jero Bonaparte’s "effort".

Next, Augusta asked Princess Mathilde whether she was willing to find another husband. If Princess Mathilde was willing, she could help make arrangents.

Princess Mathilde rejected Empress Augusta’s suggestion, saying that in this life she had already been hurt by two n, so she no longer hoped for a happy marriage.

"Alas!" Both Empress Augusta inside the room and Jero Bonaparte outside the room sighed simultaneously.

To prevent the topic in the room from becoming sad, Jero Bonaparte promptly knocked on the door.

Inside the room, Augusta imdiately said, "Co in!"

Jero Bonaparte pushed the door open and walked in, then closed the door behind him.

"Your Majesty/Jero, you’ve arrived!" Augusta and Mathilde said simultaneously.

"Yes!" Jero Bonaparte nodded, turning his gaze towards Princess Mathilde and asked with feigned surprise, "Sister, what brings you to grace my humble abode with your presence?"

"Of course, I’ve co to report back to Your Supre Majesty!" Princess Mathilde replied to Jero Bonaparte with a slightly humorous tone.

"Report back?" Jero Bonaparte was montarily puzzled, then asked, "Report back on what?"

"You truly have a forgetful nature, don’t you!" Princess Mathilde rolled her eyes at Jero Bonaparte and continued, "Weren’t you the one who asked to break up Father’s new British mistress? Now, I’ve completed the task!"

"Oh?!!!" Jero Bonaparte finally rembered and patted his head as he replied to Princess Mathilde, "You see, I’ve been so busy lately that I nearly forgot about it!"

"Forgot? I think you never cared about it in the first place!" Princess Mathilde replied to Jero Bonaparte testily.

"I just trust you a lot!" Jero Bonaparte replied to Princess Mathilde with thick-skinned confidence.

Then, Jero Bonaparte curiously asked Princess Mathilde how she managed to break them up.

Princess Mathilde told Jero Bonaparte that breaking them up was actually very simple, just publicly announcing the "banishnt" of the mistress at a banquet would suffice.

"Is it really that simple?" Jero Bonaparte said incredulously.

"Actually, it’s not that simple!" Empress Augusta comnted, "You need a vast social circle like Sister Mathilde to truly accomplish this!"

Being ostracized within the social circle of Paris ans social death.

No one dares to accept this British mistress; to the fickle Prince Monfort, a lady ostracized by social circles has no allure.

"Father, didn’t he seek you out?" Jero Bonaparte inquired of Princess Mathilde.

"Initially, Father did co to , but after I insisted I wouldn’t change my mind, he didn’t co around anymore," Princess Mathilde replied to Jero Bonaparte.

"Father really is..." Jero Bonaparte was uncertain if he should say his father was astute or lacked responsibility.

"As for your matter, I’ve already handled it for you!" Princess Mathilde reminded Jero Bonaparte, "As for my matter..."

"Don’t worry! I promise to fulfill what I agreed to!" Jero Bonaparte assured Mathilde, "Make sure Mr. Flaubert publishes a novel or poem quickly; as long as it’s passable, I can have him accepted by the French Academy!"

"Don’t worry! Flaubert will soon publish a novel!" Princess Mathilde vowed confidently to Jero Bonaparte.

"So, has he finished writing it? What’s the na?" Jero Bonaparte asked curiously, wondering if Flaubert’s novel was indeed the classic from later generations.

"I heard from Gustave Flaubert that the novel is almost finalized. The na... let think... the na is..." After pondering for a mont, Princess Mathilde looked up again and said, "The na seems to be ’Mada Bovary’! Yes, that’s the na!"

Indeed, it’s that classic! Jero Bonaparte couldn’t help but think to himself.

Although Jero Bonaparte deeply desired to see the manuscript, he maintained a composed expression.

"Could you let see the manuscript in advance so I can be ntally prepared?"

"Yes! Sister, could you let us take a look at the manuscript too!" Empress Augusta also spoke to Princess Mathilde.

"This..." Princess Mathilde hesitated for a mont before saying to both of them, "Alright! I can hand Gustave Flaubert’s manuscript to you!"

"That’s great!" Jero Bonaparte smiled slightly, already planning to "confiscate" Gustave Flaubert’s manuscript.

By then, he could just return a printed version to him.

After all, Gustave Flaubert couldn’t possibly storm into Tuileries Palace to demand it from him.

Jero Bonaparte and Mathilde continued their casual conversation until a knock on the door interrupted them; Jero Bonaparte guessed it was Bashirio, prompting him to stand up and leave.

Arriving at the door, Jero Bonaparte opened it to find Bashirio standing there as expected.

"Have you co?" Jero Bonaparte briefly inquired.

"I have, Your Majesty!" Bashirio also replied.

"Alright!" Jero Bonaparte nodded and then left the room.

Returning to the study, Jero Bonaparte saw Marcel Yale and smiled at him, "Marcel, thank you for making the trip!"

Marcel Yale responded humbly, "Serving Your Majesty is my honor!"

Then, Jero Bonaparte and Marcel Yale moved to the main topic.

Jero Bonaparte inford Marcel Yale that he had dispatched Pierre Bonaparte to the Duchy of Tuscany to serve as France’s envoy in Florence.

Upon hearing what Jero Bonaparte said, Marcel Yale’s expression didn’t show much surprise.

To him, Pierre Bonaparte being sent to Florence was considered a lenient punishnt.

However, Jero Bonaparte’s next words made Marcel Yale experience the unpredictability of an emperor.

"Arrange for so ticulous people to accompany Pierre Bonaparte. When the ti is right, directly get rid of him!" Jero Bonaparte instructed Marcel Yale, adding, "Until I give the order, those in charge of keeping close to Pierre Bonaparte must refrain from acting!"

"Yes!" Marcel Yale couldn’t help but feel a chill in his heart.

"By the way, how’s our intelligence network in the Duchy of Tuscany?" Jero Bonaparte inquired again.

"We’ve established a thorough intelligence network within the Duchy of Tuscany. Whenever you wish, I can retrieve any intelligence you need," Marcel Yale reported to Jero Bonaparte.

"That reassures !"
